Casa Del Mar Beach View

The Condo was decorated very nice and the bathroom was very well done. It is easy to access and is well lit.

This condo is on the front corner if the complex at the busiest intersection in Galveston. It's a very noisy location but when you're in a resort community this can be expected. I believe this owner has multiple units so don't expect the pictures to be accurate. Also expect to pay for parking at check in.

Loved the beach view, pool, and that coffee, and snacks and toiletries were provided.

Rugs in bathroom needed replaced, daybed needs new mattresses, sunk in middle.

We loved sitting out on the balcony with our coffee in the mornings watching the waves and people walking on the beach. The location was great with the beach just across the road and restaurants, shops, ice cream places etc all within walking distance. We also enjoyed using the pool at the resort. It was well-maintained and we had it to ourselves.

We were allocated a different condo to the one we chose (but not informed of this). It was technically like-for-like in terms of sq feet, balcony with beach view but the decor was more dated so this was a little disappointing. Also the one we chose showed a photo of a full set of beach supplies at the apartment (chairs, cooler, 2 body boards, umbrella, beach toys). We had been torn between a choice of two properties and this had actually confirmed our decision thinking how convenient that would be to have them there and not have to cart it all with us. It was frustrating therefore to get there and find there weren’t any of those things so we had to go to Walmart and buy things we already had at home! Sadly, the property didn’t feel particularly clean: there were crumbs on the floor, a coat hanger presumably from the previous guests hanging off a chair in the living area, remnants of food in the kitchen sink, water marks up the bathroom mirror and stains on one of the bed sheets. We were also only left half a toilet roll so again had to go out and buy our own.
