1801 First Luxury Inn

The staff, location and breakfast were exceptional. The afternoon wine and charcuterie in the garden was extremely nice. The room was a little dated, but that's to be expected in a victorian B&B.

The waterline to the toilet broke and shot a powerful stream of water across the bathroom. Luckily I was standing in the bathroom getting ready for bed and was able to shut it off before it caused any damage, but I was soaked and so was the bathroom. They were very apologetic and it was fixed the next morning.

Charm of property, location, host

A warm welcome, lots of available treats like homemade cookies and bonbons. Fantastic breakfast every day, room spotless and plenty of space. Lots of personal touches that you don’t get in the hotels. We also met lots of the other guests at wine hour and had a blast!

Nothing to complain about at all.

Was a really awesome location in Downtown Napa. Room sizes were quite large and beds were comfortable!

Our room was very close to the breakfast service and unfortunately the innkeeper’s heels were quite loud walking around so it woke us up on multiple mornings. The biggest thing which impacted our stay is that there is too much pressure put on breakfast coordination and filling out the form for breakfast. The woman who organizes breakfast was quite confrontational and rude to us because we did not fill out our breakfast form and did not want breakfast. She made us feel uncomfortable and made snippy comments that were rude towards us, over BREAKFAST! It was just a bit much, I think being more casual and flexible could go a long way for them and their guests experience.
