Three children under ten years old live in the building, so sharing space and pool with two other flats and the large family that live upstairs and lunch on the balcony. The children were in the pool a lot, which meant couldn’t use it, and they made a lot of noise. Not greatly relaxing

Loved the property very clean, open with plenty of space. Great views. Friendly family who could not do enough for you, gave advice on where to go and if we needed anything topping up they'd have it to us within a few hours. Pool very clean, it did close between 2-4, however at the owners discretion as long as it wasnt being cleaned we were able to sit around it and dip our legs in some nice pool beds dotted around the courtyard and the garden grounds are well maintained. Nice enough distance away from the busy hussle and and bustle of everything but if you drive close enough for a short trip down to the town and beach. Also if drive nicely located to get to Naples, Pompei, sorrento etc. Apartment clean and spacious, water, Milk & coffee provided for when we arrived. There is no washing machine or oven in the apartment, but if needed new towels they gave them. There is an electric hob and a microwave oven. There is a little shop about 10mins away however tended to open early, close middle of day and was hit n miss what time / if it opened back up in evening But was lovely, had all the basics tou need, slightly more expensive than main shops but best the hike up and down the hill. There is a little pizza place about 15mins from the property which doesnt involve big hill walking. The family gentleman every day passed by and was super friendly and always said hi. The hosts were very helpful and contactable by phone if we needed anything. Would recommend if you want somewhere peaceful, dont want to be directly in the busy centres but enough away to still be able to commute to areas if you have a car.

This isnt a criticism at all as it is genuinely a very lovely property and lives up to its 'luxurious' title. It would've been nice to have some comfy outside seating chairs on our patio, the ones we had were made of iron, which meant we couldn't sit on them for long of an evening, and wouldve liked to have spent more time outside enjoying the peaceful evenings. Would be nice if sun lounges had some padding to them so not directly on the plastic. This is Not a criticism about the propety or family hosts, this is for information only. If you come here you DO NEED to drive or hire a moped. The property is situated up a steep mountain. There is no public transport to get you up and down and taxi's are very unreliable, never turn up and if they qoute you a price they over charge...I.e 1.5km.up hill quoted €40 Myself and my husband are relatively fit people, attend gym, run etc. Walking down took about 25mins, walking up varied from 36-55mins, depending on whether to took a wrong turn down the side streets that all look the same or used the steps (which we desperately tried to avoid). There are x2 step routes however 1 directly next to property not really used, unsafe and uneven. The one near the castle slightly better but both had no lighting and had overground shrubs/weeds etc. So would advice to use the road paths up.

The location is in a middle of a large and beautiful garden, well maintained. The Apartment is located on the hill with an exceptional view on Castellamare di Stabia. The appartement is large and functional.

We announced our arrival to the owner 1 hour upfront but did wait more than one hour in front of the residency's door. We were welcome by the uncle of the owner. High humidity in the apartment (#3) with the corresponding smelling. The shower head on the ceiling is flawed. We spent 4 days there but were all days long on the road visiting the spots nearby, therefore we did not make the most of the apartment and its utilities.
