Close to city center (10 min walking)

As it is a basement apartment, it is a bit dark

The bed was comfortable, but awkward.

Well equipped. We were only lacking towels but got them fast when we asked.

For this price we had expected something cleaner. It does not look like there was any cleaning between the previous guest and us. Trash had not been emptied, dishwater was full with dirty dishes, fridge contained smelly opened food, nails on the bathroom sink... Bed not comfortable

Apartment was large enough for a family of four and there was a large tv and a washing machine as well as a large kitchen.

The kitchen however was missing some basic amenities, such as oven mitts/potholders, lids for the pots, large oven safe dishes. There were only two spoons and no teaspoons at all, only two bowls etc., which obviously was a bit tricky for a family of four. There was a dishwasher, but no detergent. The shower drain was blocked, so when showering, there was ankle deep water on the floor. Also, there were empty shampoo bottles and used razors in the shower stall. The apartment is a refurbished basement in the owners' house, so it's not very light. There were also not that many lamps in the flat and we found it a bit too dim/dark. Also the ventilation was, as it often is in basements - not very good. It took two days for the laundry to dry despite of the electric rack provided by the host. The location is central if you have a car and are planning to do daytrips to different parts of Lofoten. There is nothing to see in Leknes and it is not one of those idyllic seaside villages like Henningsvär or even Svolvär, but more like a residential and commercial area with car dealerships and other businesses.
