Nice quaint little cottage nestled just off the main road and short walking distance to good cafes and Muri beach.

No complaints. Was ideal for a lone elderly person to have an enjoyable holiday.

It was a little free-standing cabin just off the main road in Muri. It was in a rural area, so free-range chickens and roosters in the fields nearby, but that is a common feature of Rarotonga. It definitely wasn’t a resort, but everything we needed was available in Muri village, including local night markets for good food 4 nights a week. The lagoon beaches and water activities like the glass bottom boats and canoe hire were also just down the road. We had arranged through the owner for a shuttle bus from the airport. He was a local man and was very helpful too. We liked the fact that it wasn’t a resort!

There were items provided in the kitchen, like milk, coffee, spices Alfoil etc, and soap in the bathroom, but no shampoo. It would have been good to have some in a dispenser. There were plenty of towels, including beach towels. There was no washing machine, but a local laundromat with a washing service nearby. The owner has larger houses nearby suitable for families which I think have their own laundries.

Very good location, been close to a lot of amenities, Muri beach is only a short walk away, lots of lovely bakeries, cafes, local dairy nearby. Our jug broke and I emailed the owner who replied very promptly and got us a new one the very next day. Nothing was a problem and she was very friendly and accommodating. Upon our arrival we had, bottled water, milk, fruit juice and fruit. Lots of linen available. Was nice to have bedside lamps on each side table. Highly recommend.

Roosters were a bit noisy at times but not the owners fault and they are everywhere on the island.

The location of this wee villa is ideal, with only a short walk needed to access local stores and restaurants as well as the beach. All of the facilities were in excellent condition and the unit was clean on arrival. The fridge contained some basics such as milk and juice along with coffee, tea, and sugar. The fridge is also an excellent size being a bit larger than most hotel room fridges I've encountered, whilst not being a full size unit which would be unnecessary. The deck and outdoor furniture were comfortable and in good condition, these were put to good use as the outlook is very relaxing. Mii, our host, made sure we were informed of all the local facilities including a laundry if needed as the unit doesn't have laundry facilities. A clothes rack is provided inside for drying, as well as a decent size clothes line outside. We had a phone call on arrival to make sure everything was ok, and Mii also visited in person to check in. She also called us on the day of check out to again make sure we had everything we needed. All of the required bedding was provided and was clean, towels were provided for both the unit and use at the beach. There is a barbeque available along with a microwave and gas hob inside (no oven), there are sufficient kitchen supplies to cook basic meals with. A phone for making local calls is provided which is useful to make and confirm bookings etc around the island. A wifi hotspot is also available for use with via the local wifi provider. Having stayed at several locations around Rarotonga over the years, I would rate Muri Serene Villa as my favourite; we felt welcome and comfortable and it was perfect for our holiday to wonderful Rarotonga. Many thanks to Mii for making this property available and for being an excellent host.

It's very difficult to fault this place, perhaps a mat inside the backdoor would be good as the tiles can be slippery with even the slightest amount of moisture underfoot, but that's it really. Everything was of an excellent standard with no signs of wear and tear or overuse.

Muri Serene Villa was stylish, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is wonderful - just back from the main road in Muri - peaceful and stunning surroundings. We loved it and would recommend to couples and solo travellers.

Perfect place to be! Spacious and private. Really close to the beach and Muri markets at night. We absolutely love this place!

The location is great, surrounded by a taro farm and company of animals like pigs, hens and roosters; walking distent to the Muri beach.

Lovely, helpful host. Comfortable bed,plenty of towels. Easy-to-use BBQ. Of street parking 1 block(500m) to centre of Muri I would recommend this 👌

Couldn't fault it.

The house is totally by itself with plenty of space and good privacy. The location is very good as it's away from the main road but still in walking distance to all the amenities.

Would be nice to have blackout curtains for better sleep

Very helpful hosts. Handy to beach and shops. Very comfortable bed.

No complaints. Just some small suggestions. A shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on would be really useful, as would a lamp by the bed and a small shelf on the right hand side of the bed.

The bathroom and sink wasn't cleaned properly. The shower was black in some areas.. and also there was a nail in the sink belonging to the previous guests..

Close to best beaches on the Island self contained cottage.

Roosters did wake you up some mornings.
