This condo needs a deep cleaning and upgrades. The furniture and rug are very dirty. I understand that cockroaches are a part of a tropical climate but this condo has many. From the first day we were there the dryer did not work.
The owner told us the repairman ordered the part from Oahu and would fix it as quickly as they could. That was December 21 and we left on January 5th and it was still not fixed. We had to hang our clothes etc on a wooden towel rack. The washer also left rust stains on our clothes. We would never stay here again.

We had a fantastic time. Clean, huge rooms. The pool and BBQ area is nice. We swam every day. The condo was well stocked with towels and beach accessories. We would definitely recommend this condo.

Jerry’s condo is great! The location is convenient to Kona and the amenities are exactly as advertised! Jerry was very responsive to our concerns (one of the sliding doors was stuck when we arrived and we had it fixed very quickly) and the space was well set up for our visit.
We had a great week and would recommend Jerry’s place!

Jerry was very responsive and we had a great stay. He recommended great things to check out nearby. Easy access to the shore and Kona-Kailua attractions in a short walk. Space was large and the kitchen and laundry were convenient.

The large lanai was perfect for "eating out". The condo is easily walkable to great food like Gecko Girlz shave ice, Black Rock Pizza, Humpy's, and On the Rocks. The rooms were large and comfortable. Nicely decorated living room with a large screen to which we cast our daily adventure photos. We had a great time!

We met the owner Jerry, who lent my dad his fishing rods(!), during our stay in this perfectly located 2 bedroom condo.
Jerry was super lovely and gave us many tips on sight seeing, etc.
Condo is located across from the ocean on the main road to downtown tourist area, we could walk there in 10 minutes. Condo had everything you need for your trip; wifi, sunblock, shampoo, conditioner, pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils, papertowels, tissue, toilet tissue, Tide, fabric softeners, bleach, beach towels, 1 body board, cooler case, large hand held mirror and wide tooth comb, spices, oils, condiments, and much more! I recommend you view what's in the condo prior to buying.
The ceiling fans and portable fans/cooling units worked perfectly and cooled well!
Door entry code was so perfect, no keys needed to enter/leave!
Parking spots are right near elevator and condo unit is 1st one off the elevator, so convenient!
A note: The 2nd bedroom closet doors are off hinge so unusable and the master bedroom Lanai door is unable to be opened, and there are little insects and a few cockroaches you'll see but that is to be expected in Hawaii unless you want to stay in an oversaturated chemically fumigated place.
We didn't get to use the beautiful condo complex pool but it went 8-9 feet deep and looks extremely clean. We saw condo maintenance workers regularly during our stay.
Also; when purchasing EDIBLE ITEMS, FOOD; PACKAGED OR NOT, SCUBA GEAR, ANYTHING THAT TOUCHES YOUR MOUTH, be sure to only buy what you need as anything unopened ie; water, packaged fish bait, packaged coffee/nuts, etc WILL BE THROWN AWAY AND CANNOT BE DONATED per Hawaii health and safety regulation. What a wasteful law :( But now we also know.

unit seemed not well cared for. I assume he doesn’t use a cleaning service as there were food crumbs/debris surrounding the master bedroom bed. Carpets were pretty gross. Cockroaches all over the kitchen. Tiny black ants all over the counter top as well. Cockroach and ant traps all over the place: kitchen counter, under each bathroom sink and under the sofa bed. Dead cockroaches were not cleaned up and there were dead ones under sofa bed and bathroom sink. When I told Jerry about the issue he commented that it’s the tropical climate. I spoke to a cleaning lady from a different unit who confirmed that yes the heat can create pests but she said he needs to spray and hire a good cleaning company and there shouldn’t be issues. The lady said that she has never seen cockroaches or any infestations in the units that she cleans. Jerry did offer to come in and spray. I told him I’d let him know as I had to speak to the other members of my group. By the time our group came to a consensus when we were out I opened up the app to message Jerry and he had already gone in to spray which we weren’t happy about as we all had agreed not to because we had a child with us. If he sprayed it didn’t help as there were still cockroaches daily. My biggest fear was bringing these things home in my luggage. He doesn’t say in listing that sofa bed is actually an inflatable mattress. Once booked he has a document saying it has been replaced and that it’s very expensive. The mattress looks very old and very dirty. Since first night the mattress would not hold air. Told him the next morning. He tried to patch it and it still did not hold air. He tried to patch it again. 5 days into the stay he brought an inflatable queen mattress for us to use. Sofa bed still did not hold air. We paid for 3 beds based on the advertisement and we really only had 2 for more than half of our stay. Do not book this property expecting to use a third bed. Jerry speaks of this place as being a upper end complex but it really is very basic condo complex. Don’t get based on location you’ll have car to travel. He’ll say parking is expensive in the city but there’s a ton of free parking. Also Honl’s beach is dangerous. Too many rocks and rough conditions. He’ll make it sound great though. This beach is where to go if you want to see homeless and people smoking crack (honestly). Stay at outrigger instead where You get 2 beds, It is quite a bit cheaper and way nicer with huge beautiful pools.

We spent 3 nights (4 adults, i child). Jerry was great to work with and answered all my crazy questions. It’s within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

My family and I just came back from a wonderful 2 day stay at Jerry's place in Kona. The condo was very comfortable and provided plenty of space for the 3 of us. The lanai was huge, the bathrooms were very clean and modern and the A/C was a life saver in the mid 80 degree heat. Parking was convenient and the location (just near the Ironman finish line in Kona) was perfect for our daily runs and walks through downtown Kona.
We highly recommend Jerry's place and hope to come back again soon on our next visit to Kona.

Our stay was great and communication with owner was even better! We had a question on check in and he was easy to reach and available. He provided plenty of information ahead of time as well! The location can’t be beat and is within walking distance to Ali’i drive. It should be noted there are only AC units in the bedrooms and if visiting during a hot time the main living space can get rather warm, but we were out of the condo most of the day so was not an issue! I would absolutely stay here again!

What an amazing VRBO! The location is great, it is within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shops. The space is comfortable and roomy. The host has thought of everything, anything you need and more is here. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and has all brand new appliances. There is plenty of beach and snorkeling gear. And Charmin TP! What condo has Charmin!? The condo grounds are nice and quiet, and there is a great pool.
The host was responsive, accommodating, and very kind. The only disappointment is that we only stayed for two days. I will recommend this rental to family and friends and we would be keen to stay again when we come back to Kona.

This is probably the largest two bedroom condo I have ever stayed. It has a big kitchen, large family room, large balcony, and better yet, it has three bathrooms!! It’s fully stocked with everything we might need for a beach day or for cooking a meal.
We met Jerry and had a quick chat. Jerry was a wonderful host. He has the most complete guest guidebook. 😊 will come back

The owner Jerry was great at communication and knowledge of Kona . The condo has everything you need for a great vacation !!! Kitchen has all amenities you need 3full bathrooms tub shower combo. Beach towels, cooler, toys and beach chairs. We would highly recommend for couples and families.

Even better than what the reviews said!
This was, without question, the best vacation home/condo we've ever stayed at. Quiet, comfortable, roomy, and very well stocked. And it was just oh so very convenient to Alli'i for easy strolling. We and our two teenage sons had plenty of space for our 4 night stay and the sleeping arrangements were more than perfect. I was a little nervous about the "inflatable" mattress in the pull out living room sofa but it worked great for the boys. It's like no inflatable we've ever seen before - you'd think it was a real mattress.
When it was time for the beach, we found an umbrella and chairs in the hallway closet, sand toys, pretty much everything you would need! Boss Frogs down the road rents umbrellas and chairs but turns out we didn't need it! Thanks, Jerry!
And we had a question for Jerry and he was so quick to respond and SO HELPFUL that I think he's spoiled us for our future expectations of other VRBO's. ;)
Oh, and the lanai (porch) was a WONDERFUL respite to simply lounge and enjoy the outdoors.

Quit But Just Around The Corner From The “Action”
What an awesome location! It’s just around the corner from all the “action” of Ali’i Drive, where the main restaurants and shops are located. Yet, you don’t hear the traffic when relaxing at your temporary home.
At home, you have comfort and convenience, including three bathroom/ showers and a fully-stocked kitchen. The complex has a nice pool and grilling area.

Perfect location and property
We very much enjoyed our stay here. It’s in a perfect, quiet location that is easily walkable to nearby shops, beaches, and restaurants. Pool was wonderful, as were the many grills provided poolside. We really appreciated the cooler and pool/beach toys as well. Keep an eye on the water drip bucket for the a/c units on the lanai as they’ll overfill if you run the a/c too long, making the lanai wet. Jerry, the owner, was super responsive to every question and need. We’d love to return again someday!
