We enjoyed our stay at Cokesbury Cottage so much! We only had 4 adults and 2 children, but there was room for quite a few more if we had needed the space. The kitchen is well equipped, we had plenty of room for our 2 cars, we walked to the lake, and we loved the rocking chair porch. We would definitely stay here again!

This historic, real log home was great for our family of 9. It is in walking distance of beautiful Lake Junaluska with its walking path. The big front porch was a favorite place for us to sit in the rockers and drink coffee in the morning and play cards in the evening. The yard was full of flowers and there was a great grassy area across the lane that the kids loved playing in. The kitchen worked well for cooking meals. This home had everything I look for in a vacation rental.

This is our 2nd time staying at the Cokesbury Cabin at Lake Junaluska. There were 6 adults and 4 children and the cabin was spacious and very comfortable. The oven is my arch nemesis as it seems to take forever to cook food but even with that, I would stay there again! Highly recommend!

There were many of us in town for a wedding and this house was perfectly suited for a large family. Very clean and maintained. My nieces said they loved it

The versatility of the bedrooms worked well. The spacious, well stocked kitchen made meal preparations a breeze. We loved sitting on the front porch to relax.

We loved our stay. It was even more special when my 86 year old mom realized she had been in the cabin years ago when it was in its original location as a bookstore. The only minor issue we had was not being able to get the Keurig clean so we went out and bought a coffee maker to use. I would highly recommend this cabin as we would defintley stay here again.

We had a wonderful extended family Thanksgiving at the property. There were 7 of us and only 2 issues arose. There was not enough hot water even when we took limited time showers and there was not sufficient, comfortable seating for 7 people in the living room.

This was my first experience with VRBO. I am pleased that I had no unpleasant surprises in the rental process, the property or the communications with the managers. The home exceeded my expectations. Our entire group was happy with the accommodations and its lovely location. We had a wonderful stay and left with joyful memories.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable, we each had a bathroom, the kitchen was well stocked, and the cabin is in a beautiful, quiet, convenient location. We hope to come back!

Very lovely cabin.
We loved the cabin. The flowers out in front and the por ch with the rocking chairs was the favorite part. We were thankful for the overhead fans on the porch so we could sit outside even though it was hot.
The only thing that would be helpful if we came again would be safety shower bars. We had a hard time getting in and out of the shower and feeling safe while getting a shower. We could not use the claw foot tub it was way to high to get in and out. So it made it a little difficult for the 6 of us to schedule shower times!!

Best Ever Get-Away
We came with 4 of our grandchildren to introduce them to Lake Junaluska and they LOVED the cabin- especially all the bunk bed options and the front porch where we played so many games and rocked and read books each day! The location made it so easy to walk down to get ice cream cones and go to the library and book store/gift shop. We cannot wait to return!!

clean, great porch, would go back
We absolutely loved the front porch. It was AMAZING. The rocking chairs were great! The inside of the cabin gave all of us a clean, comfortable bed. We had a little confusion figuring out it is on a one-way street, but after that first time, we were all good! The hike around the lake was extremely nice. We'd definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay, great communication with owner. Accurate description and pictures. Kitchen stocked. Washer/dryer were awesome to have. Note there is a curfew of 11 pm in the community (which we liked). Owner was very responsive when we weren’t sure how to adjust the heat settings. Only recommendation is to leave instructions for the thermostat, fireplace and TV remotes. Thanks for a great stay, would stay again!

Family vacation
This is a very cute house it accommodated my large family very well. We did. Or use the kitchen or the tv other than the DVD player for our youngest. House was easy to get to and had additional parking for the older kids who met us there. We will use this rental again next time we visit the area.

Christmas Getaway
We had a wonderful time staying at this home. We took short walks to the nearby lake every day during our stay. We discovered a children's playground near the lake that would be great for those less active days. There is a wonderful field in front where our children ran, explored, and played.
SO many nearby amenities including restaurants, grocery stores (Publix, Walmart), site seeing (Asheville, Cherokee, Great Smoky Mountains, etc).
Suggestion: Streamline important information to avoid confusion. A direct email said the door would be unlocked but a message from the owners via the VRBO site contained a code for the door. Also, the internet code didn't work, the one provided by the owners when we called didn't work. We ended up looking on the router and that worked.
Great place to stay!
