Really nice place. I felt like I was in a Spanish villa. Beautiful pool with views. I never saw the owners who lived right next door. Very peaceful and quiet! Thank you again for a great time!

This is the ultimate getaway for anyone! Linda is friendly and responsive. She welcomed us w/ a gift basket. So special! The grounds are simply marvelous. Not to mention the lovely interior The house has everything you need to cook, hang out and to relax. We slept like angels and swam like fish in the beautiful pool. The Codo Avocado Ranch is full of natural beauty and bliss. No matter the time of day, we enjoyed the grounds and being surrounded by avocado tress is unforgettable. The ranch dog is sweet and irresistible. Linda stopped by to say good bye before we left. I was in the bano and sad that I couldn't express my greatfulness for this retreat. Thank you for the avocados too. We can't wait to eat them up. It is our first stay away from home since 2/20 because of Covid-19. This retreat hit the spot! This guesthouse exceeded our expectations. The place is simply gorgeous. Loved hiking through the avocado trees, swimming in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. The hosts were right there when we had a question, and otherwise we had complete privacy. Linda: Thank you for the wonderful welcome basket, the easy check-in and, of course, your amazing home. We will have cherished memories for years to come.

The house is extremely nice and is located on a hill surrounded by trees giving you a feeling of isolation even though there are homes nearby. It's a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. We would definitely stay again if in Simi Valley in the future.

The home and property were gorgeous, and the homeowners very warm and welcoming. We enjoyed use of the pool and hot tub, and made ourselves at home in the spacious and immaculate home. Though we were warned that wifi may be spotty, this was never an issue for us throughout our visit. We would absolutely stay in this property again!

Wonderful house. It’s in a great neighborhood but is on top of a hill surrounded by an avocado orchard, so you feel very secluded. The pool has a beautiful view but was a little cold for us (it’s not heated and the weather wasn’t too hot). Guest house is located right next to main house but we still felt like we had our own space. Really enjoyed our stay!

My family has rented a private home in the So Cal area every Thanksgiving for the past 4 years. We love getting out of the Northern Cal rain and the kids look forward to swimming in the pool with the warm weather. We enjoy having all the cousins over for swimming and BBQ so we thought this house would be perfect as it is advertised as a private Villa. My only concern was if the pool was heated. So I emailed Linda the owner before we booked this property and she confirmed that the pool was heated. I would not have booked this place had I known the pool was not heated and the pool is in the owners back yard no privacy from them at all. When we arrived we where shocked. This property is advertised as private but the owners lives in a house a few hundred feet away and the worst part is the pool area, BBQ and great views are their back yard NOT yours. What a bait and switch. The pictures and description on VRBO clearly state it is a "private villa". What was most disappointing is Linda's son gave us a tour of his back yard pool and said they never heat the pool. I emailed Linda the owner to ask about the pool and she said to call her 2 hours before we wanted to swim and she would heat the pool. We told her we would like to swim every day and I would bring my kids down at 10am Thursday. Imagine my 5 and 8 year olds disappointment when we went to the pool at 10am and it was still freezing. The owner did not heat the pool once for us even though she specifically emailed me that it was heated. We never used the pool or hot tub. The grounds are well landscaped but there are barking dogs tied up in the common back yard (there is no privacy it is one yard). The first night we where there one of the dogs bit my 8 year old daughter in the bottom. The owner did tie him up for a couple of hours but later that night the dog was back on our patio area barking at the screen door where our daughter was. The last night we where there no one brought the dogs in from the trees they tie them to so they barked for 2 hours non stop keeping both our kids away until 10pm. I am so glad I was able to have my Aunt cook Thanks Giving dinner as the kitchen is badly understocked. We ended up at a hotel swimming pool where some of our family was staying. We couldn't use the pool and my dog loving family couldn't even enjoy the grounds, the whole thing was ridicules. This was just the WOREST experience.

Surrounded by avocado, orange and lemon trees, this is an oasis in Simi Valley. The house is spacious, cool and luxurious, the kitchen superbly equipped and the garden provides fresh herbs. The host's family lives right next door, providing a welcome basket of fresh and delicious local produce and responding to any requests immediately. The friendly ranch dogs also welcome visitors and will play with children. The pool commands spectacular views and the garden attracts hummingbirds. Walking through the property's avocado groves offers panoramic vistas and romantic sunsets. Several freeway routes provide easy access to LA and picturesque drives to Malibu and the Pacific Coast Highway. A few minutes away, the Ronald Reagan Library is worth a visit whatever one's politics.

This was the perfect rental home for our family gathering. We were able to live comfortably, cook at home as well as have guests over to "our house". It was beautiful, well maintained and spacious.

My husband and I felt so lucky to be guests here. The owners were so hospitable and accommodating and made our stay so enjoyable. We were greeted on the first night with a snack basket and fresh avocados. I was also delighted to find Aveda products in the bathrooms. As our trip unfolded and we got to know the owners, we felt like we were living in paradise. The house and grounds are beautiful and the workmanship in the home truly stands out. We didn't want to leave!

My daughter is attending a teaching zoo in Simi Valley and was unable to travel home for the Thanksgiving Holiday. I found this wonderful home through VBRO. The house was warm and welcoming. Our host ensured that we had everything we needed. It was perfect for my family of 6. We cooked a full on Thanksgiving dinner and visited just like we would if we were at home.

My husband and I stayed here for a week for a buisness trip. The pictures did not justify the beauty of the house and the property. The family that owns the property are so nice and welcoming. Everytime I would have a question or need something it was always taken care of. I loved the place and the owners. I would defiantly go back.
