We enjoyed our stay at Linda and Larry’s home. The outdoor shower was glorious. The property was clean and well kept. The house was stocked with everything you would need for a weeks stay. We enjoyed entertaining in the yard and using the fire pit with the kids to make s’mores. The beds were comfortable and you can’t beat the location. Larry and Linda are very friendly and checked in on us but also let us have our privacy. We will be back!

We stayed 4 nights on a holiday weekend. The first two nights it was quiet and serene. The property owners’ family arrived and it became loud and felt claustrophobic at times. I had not anticipated so many people sharing the property. The location, neighborhood and owners are all good.

The property is central to Mystic and Newport which is great if you are planning day trips. You can then spend the evening/afternoon at the town beach or walking in the neighborhood. There was not a highchair or crib as mentioned in previous posts, so I would make sure to check with the owner of you relying on that. Overall a quiet neighborhood and the property met our needs and expectations.

This 3Br apartment was perfect for our family of 4. It was very nicely decorated and welcoming. Linda also responded quickly to any of our questions. The kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of towels and supplies for the bathroom. We also enjoyed sitting by the fire pit one evening. We highly recommend this home away from home to anyone looking for a relaxing place near the beaches.

We had a delightful fall 2-day retreat in a very neat, clean and well organized in-law suite. Very cozy, yet roomy. Linda, our host, was very congenial with wonderful dining suggestions. She was very helpful if needed, yet not intrusive in the least.

Immaculate, spacious 3 bedroom with full kitchen and bath. Less than an hour drive to Newport. Walking distance to the beach. Kayaks, kids toys, and family games are complimentary. There‘s even a crib and highchair if you need one. WiFi and television, also. Lots of family friendly restaurants nearby, as well as a grocery store. Super safe street with speed bumps.

This was our second time staying here, and it was even better than the first now that we know our way around a bit better. This is such a wonderful respite away from the city!! The place is immaculate, a medium walk or quick bike ride/drive to the beach, and close to all the options for exploring the area. They also have an amazing grill and a fire pit in their beautifully kept backyard, and that’s a huge draw for my husband and I. Linda couldn’t be more wonderful & accommodating. I’d recommend staying here to anyone.
Learn from us, though, and rent a car if you don’t own one already. Ride sharing is spotty and car services add up very quickly. For this second trip, my husband and I took the Amtrak to New London where ride sharing is much more readily available and rented from the local Hertz (other options are available too). It’s only a 30 minute drive to the property with grocery options along the way. It worked perfectly both there and back, and we were able to take in so much more having the car on-hand. Definitely repeating for our next visit. :)

It was a very nice place to stay. Peace and quiet. Short drive to the beach. Lots of good restaurants nearby. My dog had so much fun playing with their dogs. Very nice neighborhood.

While I would love to tell you about the property, I can not. Our host had plenty of wifi to request payment several times 10+ days before our final payment was due, but no wifi to send our checkin detail/instructions.
My husband and I along with our 2 dogs, traveled from Maryland to Vermont and then to Rhode Island. We left Vermont directly following a 1/2 marathon. We arrived in Rhode Island with no check in instructions. VRBO was unable to get in touch with the host. My little family had to try to find a hotel for the night, that accepted dogs, and was close yo the start/finish of the second 1/2 marathon we were running that weekend.
We were tired, hungry, and in desperate need of a shower. We spent several hours that we should have been resting trying to find a place to sleep for the night.
The host responded in the middle of the night and has offered us a free weekend. Just not during their busy season. No thanks. I’m not driving back to Rhode Island to see if you’re home.

I really don't know where to begin, Lynda's house is amazing! By far the best trip to Rhode Island. The house is perfect for a family and has all the amenities that are needed. The backyard is amazing with an perfect fireplace for roasting s'mores. Lynda and Larry are amazing hosts and are able to help with any requests. The ocean is less than a mile away and Lynda provides access to private beach parking and private beach access. Having two young kids and trying to get out of the house is a hassle. Specially if you're trying to do so to get to a beach in time. The beach parking in RI always fill up very early. This private parking was perfect. I cannot say enough about our stay in this amazing home. Wish we had more time, we will def be returning. God Bless

This is our second time staying here and it was wonderful. We enjoy kayaking on the pond and the private beach is especially helpful on a busy holiday weekend.
The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and pots and pans, the backyard is lovely and has a table with umbrella, a Weber grill, fire pit, and fresh herbs!
Linda and family are very accommodating and we appreciate being able to bring our dog.

Being part of a larger house with the owner living there was not an issue given they are nice friendly people who give you your space. Sound proofing is not great between the unit and the main house but for the price and location it is well worth it.

We had a very nice stay here. The location was very clean and had all the amenities you need. It was vert close to the beach and just a short drive to Newport. We highly recommend this location if you are traveling in the Newport area.

This gem of a suite is great for a fully restful stay. The kitchen is well equipped and bed very comfy. It is also wonderful to have backyard access and a space to eat and hang outside at the house!
The shore, lake and beach are spectacular.

Super clean and comfortable accommodations. Although just the two of us, this private apartment is perfect for a family. Well stocked kitchen, great backyard with grill/umbrella table and chairs. Beach chairs and kayaks with access to private beach a short walk away. East Beach (our favorite) a 3 minute drive. Linda is a great host. Highly recommend.

Linda and family are all very kind and respectful of sharing their private home within a home. They always asked if it was okay that their two calm sweet dogs came to say hello if we were sitting outside at the table that goes with the rental. The backyard was lovely. The private outdoor shower delightful. She responded quickly to questions. So nice to have 3 kayaks to use in pond right down the road. Great place for biking to beach a little over a mile away. Enjoyed our week! Thank you!

This was just lovely. First thing was it was so clean and very well organized. The bed was super comfy and I liked being near everything. They was a tropical storm and I was really grateful she was there. She made sure I was ok kept me up to date on the storm situation. Her dogs were so cute and sweet and very friendly. Linda and Larry are great hosts who have created a well-appointed and stocked vacation rental within the walls and grounds of their home. Helpful and respectful, they added to our enjoyment of this great location with access to a private beach and even offer use of bikes, beach chairs and a cooler. Very convenient and easy. They get high marks all around.

A lovely property with a well stocked kitchen. It rained the whole time so we were not able to take advantage of all the area had to offer like the kayaks and beach but the home was very comfortable and we appreciated that it was dog friendly with a big back yard. The beach would be too far to walk if you're taking chairs and coolers. Guests should be aware that beach parking is expensive - daily parking fees of $20 on weekdays and $30 on weekends. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our stay was wonderful! Great location. Very close to beach and walking distance to nearby pond. Linda was a great host, although hardly had to ask any questions since the house is so well stocked. Comfortable bed, great for the dog (enclosed backyard) and thier two dogs are so friendly. Felt like home at the beach!We will definately return :)

I was initially concerned about the size and one bathroom for what turned out to be 5 adults and some pups, but it worked out absolutely perfectly. We enjoyed the fenced-in yard, grill, fire pit and it's close proximity to the beaches. Going off season was key with the pups!Linda was very nice and accommodating. A great place for a mini post Covid-19 vaccination family reunion/get away! Thank you!!
