I loved the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the accommodation. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool and garden were beautiful. I would highly recommend staying at this place to anyone who is interested in staying near Paje or Jambiani. The beach is only a short walk away, and if you have a car, you can easily visit the towns of Paje or Jambiani for more shopping and exploration. Additionally, the apartments have a kitchen, so if you would like to prepare some snacks or prepare something to eat, this is also possible. Finally, Paola and her husband were very welcoming and made us feel at home the moment we entered.

Eco friendly, perfect, comfortable, spacious accommodation, just what my family needed giving us the flexibility of self catering or enjoying the many restaurants located nearby and slightly further away - in Paje 10mins by taxi. Paola is a warm, welcoming, helpful host and all her staff are exceptional. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nyumbani Residence.

The management of the hotel and the staff were incredible - every detail was looked after and nothing was too much trouble. The apartments are super clean and the setting is attractive with a great pool(s) and proximity to the beach. Shops are nearby and there is a great range of eating options. The rooms, bathroom and kitchen are clean and have everything you need for a great holiday. We would not hesitate in recommending to anybody wishing to visit Zanzibar. Paola helped organise trips and we always felt that we were in good hands with high quality drivers and tour providers which cut out the hassle and assured a good time. Thank you so much for exceeding our expectations and ensuring we had an incredible holiday

Everything was perfect - no complaints whatsoever.

Personally, I liked that everything was within reach. The beach is a short walk away, there were caves to explore close by which was also a walking distance from the residence, and the ATMs were a short bike ride away.

Everyone so kindly and helpful and doing they best to make sure you’ll have a great stay. Came late aftennoon, had loads of laundry - it was ready early next morning. The apartments are spacious, neat and clean, kitchen is equipped to make lunch, supper etc. Wi-Fi is good. Pools are nice. 2 minutes walk from the beach.

Have no complains whatsoever. if anything, handsoap in the toilet would be great. I had an extra so didn’t bother to mention but I’m sure that they would bring right away if I did.

Paola and Daniele and the staffs are very welcoming and helpful. Very nice hotel with big rooms, nice pools and nice view. Very quiet. Great time for our family. Highly recommended!

Nyumbani is such a relaxing place to stay. This was our second visit and we'll definitely be back!

Loved our stay here from start to finish. Paola and her partner were so welcoming and friendly. The room was perfect and big hot shower felt great. When we had a problem with our AC and had to switch rooms the hosts were nothing but kind, responding immediately and even helping us move our things. Paola is always a text away to help answer questions. She even tried helping me get back my shoes that I lost on the other side of the island. The kitchen facilities are perfect and you have everything you need to cook with. Beds are spacious and comfy as well. The grounds are gorgeous, private and peaceful. We enjoyed cooling off in both pools every day! WiFi is great and friendly guards are on duty at all times so you feel perfectly safe. Plus the cute cats will come and cuddle :) Thank you all for an amazing stay!

Quiet location just three minutes walk from the beach. Apartment a good size with kitchen/dining/living space; bedroom and bathroom with shower. All very spacious. Two swimming pools on property. Very well maintained, beautiful gardens. Staff very friendly and helpful. Property very secure.

Nothing and if there was a problem the staff would have it fixed in no time.

Amazing, very kindy staff and place!

The apartment looked really nice and were very spacious. There was a nice kitchen with everything you needed to cook and to make nice smoothies. All the equipment was there. There are 2 swimmingpools available. Host Paola was available for all of our questions.

We have a wonderful stay at Nyumbani Residence. The apartments are very specious and fully equipped for cooking, always clean thanks to the cleaning ladies. Part of every apartment is a big terrace where you can enjoy breakfast. Apartments have A/C. The beach is only 5 min walk as well as Jambiani village with small supermarket. If you want to do bigger grocery shopping, the host Paola can call you a taxi which takes you to Paje, also 5 min ride. If you prefer eating in restaurants, there’re some good ones by the beach. Paola is very kind and helpful if you need anything (plan a trip, taxi). The surroundings is as beautiful as in the pictures. There’re 2 pools with sun-beds and beautiful garden. Residence also has 24h security so it’s super safe. Definitely recommend to have a stay.

Just back from this beautiful place in Jambiani. We were the first guests in after they have refurbished the place. They have done an amazing job! The apartments are very specious and very well equipped ( you even get your own blender to make your juices etc) We’ve stayed in many self catering apartments around the world and this was one of the best in terms of how well everything was planned (sockets near beds, aircon, kitchen equipment etc.) We loved having breakfast out on the veranda watching the sunrise, Jambiani village and the beach are only 5min away and you can get to Paje by car in 5 min as well. Paola - the owner is super nice and friendly, ready to give you recommendations or advice about the island. I can’t not mention the gardens and the pools - yes 2 pools to enjoy, our 5 year old daughter loved splashing in the pool while we relaxed in the beautifully maintained gardens. The residence has 24h security so we felt very safe all the time. We can’t fault anything and will be back if we visit Zanzibar in the future.

Paula the manager was the most helpful person I met in Zanzibar. She really does everything for you to help you out. Not even mention her great personality. I really loved the place and would highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed the stay at Nyumbani, the resort is 3 mins walking from the beach and Paola the manager has proposed several entertaining activities such as tours and visits around Zanzibar at a fairly good price. Great kitchen facilities.

Danniel & Poa (Owners) are very nice people and in contact via whatsapp Nice gardens and pool Water dispenser is available at reception and very convenient (1000tzn per bottle) especially as shops are not close by and a taxi is used for shopping.

Cleanliness. Cleaning staff are pole pole (slowly slowly) and do not clean room automatically & the clean isn't thorough when they do! A "new" blanket covered in sand was put on the bed! The bathroom had the hair from previous guest all over floor when I checked in. The self catering kitchen was convenient but also meant self cleaning as was untouched by maids! Self Cleaning isnt wanted on holiday. Ramadan times meant eating out was a challenge in day times as many shops / restaurants close for the month or only open at 6pm so be aware of this

Because we went on vacation in off season, there was nothing to do in Jambiani so we had to take a taxi every day to Paje, about 5 km away.
