Parfait pour les ornithologues amateurs, les artistes, les écrivains et les amateurs de plein air!

The house is an older Adobe/Joseler home on acreage, quiet, great location for us and I love the architecture. Could use updating on bedding, and towels. The bdrms sliding glass doors need repair as well as the floor-to-ceiling wood blinds as they are brittle and fragile to falling apart. There is an amazing wood-burning fireplace but we were told not to use it, not sure if it is functional.
The heating was not working and we had several days where we were freezing at 62 degrees, that said, the homeowner was very responsive and was going to purchase space heaters, but fortunately got an HVAC guy out to fix which turned out to be the thermostat and quickly fixed. The house has a nice sunroom or AZ room that leads to a good-sized yard and pool which isn't heated but would be great in the summer. All in all, it was what I expected, some issues but the location and style of the home were just right for us. The homeowner did agree to compensate us for the couple of days we were freezing, not sure what the compensation is as I haven't seen a credit on our VRBO or heard any more about it from the owner at this posting. I am taking a leap of faith the homeowner will compensate us as she stated in a text. I enjoyed our stay at the home even with the hiccups.

Michigan and Colorado met in Arizona for Thanksgiving! This was a perfect place to escape the cold for a Tucson Thanksgiving. The house was very clean and inviting. Had everything we needed for a homemade Thanksgiving dinner! Neighborhood is very nice and you can take a very long walk right in the neighborhood. Close enough to grocery stores/restaurants but in the setting you feel far away in the desert. Bonnie was a great host and answered any questions quickly. Hope to be back someday.

We loved this pretty adobe/brick home with private backyard. The inside was well appointed and loved the Saltillo tile floors throughout. We hope to be able to return one day.

Older but very nice property, lots of wildlife right near the house including gila woodpeckers, coyotes, bobcats, and a abundance of quail. Very much enjoyed our stay, be forewarned that the pool is unheated if you visit in the spring!

The house is vintage like me and I was very comfortable in its space. It is decorated and accommodated with a creative eye and care to the needs of guests. The property is equally beautiful with natural landscape details of the desert and a lovely courtyard pool area. It is a haven for the birds and wildlife. A great space for naturalists, birders, gardeners and artisits among others!

We had the most wonderful month long stay in Bonnie's pristine and unique house. We and our dog loved the big walled yard with grass lawn and pool, the desert plants and flowers, and the historic well preserved hacienca style house. While maybe not full of the latest modern conveniences and appliances of a brand new home, that was part of the immense charm; the mid-century tilework in the bathrooms, the original brickwork, the super comfortable living spaces. The home owner is an artist, and so am I. I loved the decor and style of the whole place; it 100% spoke to me as an artist because it was furnished with an artist's eye. Equipped with everything we needed for a month's stay, (except we wished for a king sized bed in the master... but only because we are tall, ha). We loved walking the neighborthood with our dog every day, and just hanging out in the house and yard. Very private, and beautifully planted and maintained desert landscape all around. Location is central to everything you'd want to get to in Tucson. Highly recommended.

Desert Retreat
This was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the greater Tucson area. The surrounding desert with its variety of cacti was delightful and made you forget you were near a major city. The house was quiet, comfortable, clean, and well stocked. Bonnie was very responsive to what few minor things we needed. We enjoyed being able to relax with a book in the sun and warmth of the backyard. The regular appearance of quail in the evening was a treat! Being a mid-1950s authentic adobe brick house made this a very unique experience, one which we thoroughly enjoyed for the month we were there.

Perfect spot for a family holiday stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bonnie’s stylish, spacious and welcoming house. We really like the Casa Adobe neighborhood and this particular area has lots of privacy and even wildlife to make the setting especially nice. - we had our own family of quail that visited at daybreak and dusk. The house is stylishly furnished, decorated and well provisioned - we had everything we needed for a great stay. Communications were easy and information for the house and area was very helpful. You won’t be disappointed with a stay here.

Classic Adobe
We really enjoyed our stay at Los Colinas. The home is a classic adobe structure that was recognized in the media for its design and build in the 1960's. The home is in the Casas Adobes area of Tucson and convenient to everything. The homeowner is very considerate and available if you have a question or need. This home is in classic desert setting with a nice pool and courtyard.

Discover Tucson and love your home away from home.
My husband and I arrived to find this gem of a property charming, quaint, clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay at a truly one a kind property in Tucson. This wonderful home is at the top of our list for our home away from home in future vacations to Tucson.

Lovely adobe
This house was a wonderful find. The place is architecturally interesting (loved the shaded indoor/outdoor Arizona Room), tastefully decorated, cool in the heat (we never used the air-conditioning), in a good location, quiet, nice backyard with pool to hang out in (we enjoyed watching the same pair of desert spiny lizards traverse the lawn everyday), and Bonnie was very pleasant and easy to communicate with. We'd definitely stay here again, though we have one strong recommendation -- that the mattresses in the two guest rooms be replaced. They were uneven and bumpy and distracted from an otherwise fabulous stay. Fortunately, this is an easy fix. We hope to be back again sometime. Thanks again, Bonnie.

Linneman Review 1856 West Vista Lejos
Home was nice, great location and very quiet. It was very helpful to have all of the information on things to do, restaurants, etc. Inside was kept up well and fairly clean. It was nice to have the food "staples" like coffee, condiments. Outside area and pool was pretty and very relaxing. The only criticism we have is for the money you should have a better cable TV package with more than just basic cable. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

Gorgeous, comfortable house in great location!
Bonnie could not have been more gracious a host. We loved the house! The location, on the outskirts of Tucson was perfect for us and our two adult kids – very private, yet an easy drive to hiking, restaurants and groceries and the freeway.
The house was well appointed and suited our needs perfectly. Inside and outdoors, we enjoyed everything.
Bonnie left good notes about places of interest - what to see, where to eat. We felt very welcome and at home.
Throughout the process Bonnie was easy to contact, very responsive, and helped us make some special plans for our visit.
Our kids slept like hibernating bears. They blamed the comfy beds.
Now we are planning a longer stay in this beautiful home.

Beautiful private setting in a hiker’s paradise!
This is a very quaint Adobe home in a very private setting. Bonnie was very attentive to our needs and is very friiendly and accessible. You’ll see lots of wildlife in your backyard including coyotes, quail, rabbits, lizards, and birds. It was so fun to have quick access to hiking in the mountain ranges that surround Tucson, and our 10 day stay was over much too soon!

What a peaceful spot! We loved our time at Bonnie’s place.
The perfect place for a family retreat...the layout, the adobe style and the access to sunrise and sunset viewing made it a great spot to start and end our days.
