Property was gorgeous. The 39 steps up were worth the view- group consensus! Maribelle cleaned when we needed her & water was delivered asap each time we called. Cofresi Beach was the best beach we visited - no vendors except a few kids selling peanuts. Pool was amazing & most times we were the only people in it. There was no problem parking the car but it is a little walk to retrieve. Older group of travelers- steps were manageable & AC in the bedrooms was nice & refreshing. Things to know- cooking was a little challenging because frying pans need replaced but we managed. New knives would be great but we can bring our own next time. Plastic & glass a plenty for beverages & we even took the cooler with us to the grocery store. Everyone loved the condo. We had plenty of towels & felt that we had everything we needed. I also want to mention the presence of security- at no time did we feel unsafe. We met a local guy - Gus who helped us book snorkeling & horseback riding. He even came to help us when we accidentally left the light on in the car & had a dead battery. Our first trip & we already want to return! Bodega close by with good prices & they didn’t mind USD. Restaurants Charro’s and Chris & Mady’s were very close. No car needed. We did drive into Maimon for 2 great meals of fresh fish. Pack light! It’s hot in the DR & if you’re not a resort traveler- this is the place! BTW- no one in our party spoke Spanish & we managed quite well. Do not fear a language barrier!

She really made us feel at home. Being in a country with family and kids, can be overwelming, specially their safety. I though the housekeeper the a wonderful to calm the nerves. I thank her for that. She did a great job helping us with the cleaning and pointing us in the right directions. she was very helpfull.

Stayed here with friends and it was perfect! Having our own bathrooms and balconies was such a bonus. The views are amazing and the pool and pool area is great too! Marabelle is so amazing too! She helped us with so many things and is such a sweet lady.

We really enjoyed our time here. The maid Maribel is amazing, she helped us out so much.
If you need help booking a covid test, finding a dr, shopping, cooking and dose an amazing job cleaning Maribel is a huge asset. Thank you Maribel for all your help. Jo-Ann the owner was very kind and always very accommodating. We really enjoyed the Condo it is an awesome setup 3 very large bedrooms with great bathrooms. The view is amazing we love sitting out on the balcony and watching the ocean and listening to the music from the beach.

This was an excellent condo for 3 couples, the property is well kept and the condo is well equipped and a water cooler as well. Marabelle is a great person and an excellent cook, we highly recommend this condo and Marabelle prepared fabulous meals and kept the condo spotless clean.

Felt like home. But better
Joann the owner answered all our questions. She had Pablo pick us up at the airport and he stopped at an amazing grocery. We picked up omelet ingredients and so Marabelle cooked for us every morning. The condo is at the front of the complex so our view was of the ocean. From every room in the house. Even though there was only 2 of us, this was a great choice given it was the penthouse and had amazing views

A little piece of paradise
My family wanted something different for Christmas, so when we found this place we jumped on it. Ages ranged from 25 - 72 and we all had a great time.
We stopped for groceries on the way in (get everything you think you might want).
Marabelle made sure we were well cared for and cooked us some delicious meals.
There wasn’t a “bad” view from any window. The beach is right across the road. There is a pool but it is freezing. Ocean is much warmer. There are a couple of restaurants. Warning - Chris and Chris and Mandy’s can be a dick but the food is decent.
The corner store will have everything you run out of from toilet paper, water to beer and chips. Great prices.
There are some island dogs who will be your best friends if you sneak them some food :)
If making coffee, 7 scoops to a full pot of water is the magic formula.
My parents loved it here so much that they are already planning their return with other friends.
I would recommend hands down if you are looking for a perfect relaxing hideaway.

We'll be back!
After a week's stay at an all-inclusive in Punta Cana, we travelled by van to Puerto Plata to spend ten days in this gorgeous, immaculately-kept, 2-storey condo. We loved the complex and would definitely come back to Club Paradise in Playa Cofresi. Our maid, Marabelle, shopped, made delicious meals for us and ensured that our living quarters were clean and tidy every day. Our driver, Rambo, was available to us any time we wanted to do anything in the area; all we had to do was call. The four balconies of our condo, overlooking both mountains and water, meant we could chase the sun or the shade at any hour of the day. We spent a great deal of time at the pool area, soaking up the sun and enjoying a cool, refreshing dip when things got too hot!
There are many attractions in the area, both in the immediate vicinity and farther afield; a complete listing of excursions and venues in the region is provided by the owners. We were especially impressed by the restaurants just around the corner from the complex. Papillon, Los Tres Cocos and Los Charros were all within walking or short driving distance and provided three unique dining experiences we will not soon forget--excellent food and service in all three locations made for memorable evenings.
The only downside was the loud music from the nearby public beach, which lasted several hours a day in the late afternoon and early evening. It would not be enough to keep us away in the future--we'll be back!--but it was a little difficult to escape the pounding beat at times. The volume seemed to decrease over the course of the week, so perhaps it is not a constant problem. It's also possible that we became accustomed to it and learned to relax in our surroundings, regardless of outside distractions.
In any case, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Club Paradise, Playa Cofresi, and we thank our hosts, Ed & Jo Tkachyk, for a delightful winter get-away. If all-inclusive stays are not your thing, give this VRBO rental a try!

Relaxing getaway in a spacious apartment.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very spacious and the views were lovely. The pool was very nice and it was a quick walk to the beach, a local restaurant, and Ocean World. We felt very safe in this location and it was an easy drive to wherever we wanted to go and close enough to a local grocery store. We would return here again.

Place was clean and comfortable, view was good as long as you did not look strait down at clutter.
There was no hot water, but ended up not being a big deal as a cold shower was needed due to main living area not being air conditioned. Bedrooms did have A/C, so kept doors closed and they stayed cool. I heated hot water on stove to shave. Below balcony and across street is a vacant field cluttered with old pool furniture and restaurant equip. View was beautiful otherwise. Local street noise and "activity" about 100 feet away was a bother. Several nefarious characters hang around outside of building but never bother us. Unit was clean and (5) stairwells up. Pool was clean and grounds well kept. Security was there all day and night.

Exquisite & Breathtaking!!
Better than described!! Photos do not do this beach view penthouse justice. Decorated with style and flair! Everything was comfortable and clean. The owner is very helpful and was most helpful with all that we needed. Maria, the housekeeper was the sweetest and such a wonderful cook! Lots of space and the layout is ideal for 2-6 people, with lots of space to congregate or spread out for privacy. The views and sea breezes were such a treat. We were referred to this penthouse by one of the other condo unit owners while we were waiting to move into her 2 bedroom ground floor unit and I must say that everyone that owns or lives or rents out their units in Club Paradise work close & well together and you feel the warmth of their cohesiveness. Everyone at Club Paradise condos made us feel at home and it was hard to leave after spending 4 months enjoying the Dominican hospitality as well as the graciousness of the owners of the condo units. I would most definitely recommend this Penthouse unit to anyone and I hope we can return to stay in this unit once again in the nearest future. Many thanks to the owner and to her staff! We will be in touch soon as it is getting a bit chilly and we plan to head south to Cofresi once again!! (One of the best Penthouse units/owners to rent from and work with by far!)

Just steps from the business!
We were very pleased with the apartment that is very easy to share with other people because of the lay out and the amount of private balconies. It was very clean and organized by the maid who also cooks great breakfasts. Also we were more than pleased that for a small added gratuities she agreed to cook for us during the day, dinners that we reheated at night. We bought what she needed and the typical meals were fabulous. The location is very close to the casino which also has an affordable restaurant. Other restaurants are nearby. The beach is right there and often busy with local people at the end of the day. The property is very well maintained and the staff is very friendly. We also hired the very helpful and accommodating taxi driver, an acquaintance of the owners.
Be ready to think that James Bound will show up with the amount of helicopters transporting the guests of the luxurious resort across the bay, but the sound of the waves quickly comes back.

The listing description was right on key - the photos are true to the condo - the owner was great in helping us with fun things to do - she answered all our questions - I would recommend this property to anyone - if the opportunity arises again we will definitely go back - Ocean World was great - very clean - lots of restaurants within walking distance - a fantastic pizza just around the corner - Rambo picked us up at the airport and also took us back on the day of our departure - he was super - Maria is the greatest! My spanish is like zero - but she cooked everything we asked - she is really really great. Everyone at the condo was very nice - when I go back I would really like to stay for at least 3 weeks - very peaceful place to relax!
