Very quiet and relaxing

The room was as described but the condition of the 5 apartment property was pretty messy and overwhelming. what I liked, the coffee and muffins. The patio and quiet evenings. Location! What I would have changed, upkeep of property, better communication for check in and out. We never met the owners.

The parking was a bare hillside crowded with vehicles and hard to park in. The outside was littered with household items and out buildings. The room was very small and there was no place to sit and very little space to open our suitcases.

Great small hotel, 6 rooms. Had everything we needed. The host, John, was approachable and friendly. Very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had for him. We will stay there again.

Excellent location, very helpful owner

I recently stayed at this property for a night. We were 3 people. The host promptly arranged for an extra bed. Something that’s not easy to find in the big island. The checkin process was smooth. We could easily follow the directions. Plenty of parking available. The room size is decent but it got a little tight with no proper place to put our luggage. The bathroom doesn’t have an exhaust fan (it does have a window) but it can get stuffy very quickly. The room floors, bathroom, and lanai was not clean. You could see cobwebs everywhere. We didn’t feel it was worth the price we paid.

Beautiful quiet area. The host is an amazing person, made sure we had everything we needed and gave us recommendations of places to go and routes to take. The room was clean and the hot tube was really nice! I loved the place. Planning on coming back soon

It had a good sleeping condition. But questionable cleanliness. Coffee mug with warm water and pot filled with old stale coffee. And sticky floors and overall a bit not clean feel to it….

I enjoyed my stay here for two nights.

Jade Oasis was a comfortable, quiet retreat near Volcano National Park. 5 minutes from the tiny town of Volcano, less than 10 minutes from the park and about 1/2 hour away from Hilo. John and Joy were gracious hosts, easy to communicate with and helpful. The place was pretty quirky but well cared for. Quiet. The hot tub was delightful!

Jade Oasis is a very comfortable place to stay. The bed was wonderful. The breakfast was a nice touch with delicious fruit, muffins and yogurt. Bottled water is provided. We didn’t use the hot tub but it looked very well maintained. John was super helpful and informative about the area. The place is quirky and very unique with colorful painting and wall hangings. The room was on the small side but it had everything we needed.

Easy check in. Quaint little room with everything you need to explore Volcano. Bring some snacks and drinks to enjoy your night.

This was a great place to spend the night before heading out to see the volcano at 4:30 a.m. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed eating our take out food on the little patio out back. Felt very private. There were a few people partying at the hot tub, but fortunately they didn't stay late, and the rest of the night it was very quiet. We would definitely stay here again. Muffins and yogurt were a nice touch for breakfast. Thank you John!

We loved this sweet rainforest getaway. It was exactly as advertised and the bed was extremely comfy. John the owner had thought of everything that might be needed for a rainforest stay - from extra bandaids for lava-viewing hikers who may have blisters, to stocking the fridge with yoghurt to go with the plentiful fresh papaya that was available each day. The room was cozy, clean and comfortable, with fresh towels available daily. A highlight of my stay was spent in the hot tub, listening to the sound of the morning rain and the wind chimes, looking out at the rainforest. The TV had 200+ channels, and the owner was very generous; noticing me eyeing some flowers on the property and offering me a stem of exotic fragrant ginger (which was not in season yet on this part of the island, so a special treat) to share with my dad for his birthday. Thank you John for all your helpful recommendations! You made our stay on island the best it could have been.

Hot tub was great

A very welcoming, clean and lovely place with a very kind host. Perfectly relaxing!

This is a well located property if you are going to the park. Accommodations are basic but it’s clean and very quiet. John was very helpful in providing us with information about nearby places to eat.

Stayed one night while visiting HVNP. John is a great host. Very helpful with the surrounding area. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice patio to sit out on and listed to the rain and the frogs.

Jade Oasis is a true gem! I wanted to have a nice place to spend the night & save my partner a long drive at the end of a busy day. John, the owner, simplified the process & warmly welcomed us when we arrived. Room was immaculate - lanai private. We relaxed in the crystal clear hot tub. Among many personal touches was a packet of information about nearby places to eat/visit (with phone #s, hours of operation, & directions) that we never would have known about or found! This was so helpful. We enjoyed our 2 night stay & recommend this conveniently located property that was better than we expected! Jade Oasis is not a posh resort. It is real Hawaiiana, in the true aloha spirit
