The property was lovely! Very quiet, quaint, and beautiful outdoor area. We enjoyed reading our books each afternoon among the lush plants and sound of waterfall.

We chose to stay here instead of trying to find a place in Healdsburg, mostly for the cost. It was a great idea! Very clean, quiet, and comfy. Nice backyard with tables and chairs to enjoy the outdoors.

The property is very well maintained, as they small but perfectly formed! John is a great host, the communication was just right and he was always happy to help with advice for our trip. The property is close to the highway so getting around the area is easy and there are plenty of amenities close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Just a short 2-day trip, but always the best time here. We know what to expect and are always thrilled to be able to stay here. The host is super kind, welcoming, informative, and makes us only want to stay here when we are in Santa Rosa for whatever reason. Highly recommend!

John was a great host. The cottage was sparkling clean and well appointed. Nice extra touches, coffee, cream, tea and even chocolate! Comfortable bed and nice pillows, too. Quiet neighborhood, yet close to shopping. I highly recommend John and Jean’s cozy cottage!

The owners were really attentive, providing take out options. The suite was very clean and cozy.
The one thing to be aware of is the entry through the carport to the patio has a steep step up/down. Not idea for anyone with walking or balance issues.

We have stayed here a couple of times when we are in the area for wine events. It’s a little bit of a drive but so much more affordable than calistoga. Plus it’s very close to Russian River Brewery!! Very comfortable and quiet place.

Secluded and separate, self-contained and convenient. We were looking for a place that would simple and accessible, with a geography that provided flexibility. We found that, and more. Nice place to stay. Communication and contact with the owners was effective and positive. Just the right amount -- not too much, not too little.

The property is extremely well maintained and perfect for two guests. The location provided good access to shopping, dining, and of course, the wineries we were there to visit. John was great communicating with us, great little place to stay!

It’s hard to describe the feeling you have when you walk into the comfort you feel as you enter this Cozy Studio. It felt like you were walking into your own little vacation apartment. The attention to detail made you feel as if the owner appreciated you staying at their place. Honey for your tea, upgraded faucets, charging cords for the electronics by the bed, an air purifier. I could continue, you’ll have to check it out. It’s the little things, I noticed. We enjoyed the use of the backyard as we were in Santa Rosa for an event. It was really nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors hearing the running water from the water feature. Very peaceful. Really enjoyed staying here.

Very well suited to our needs. Hosts were welcoming and warm but not intrusive. Storage space turned out to be more plentiful than anticipated. A nice retreat from busy days running from Healdsburg to San Rafael, Bodega Bay to Sacramento.

This was a great stay! The hosts had outstanding communication leading up to our visit as well as during. The place had all the right little touches and was convenient for visiting several wineries and restaurants. The added convenience of a grocery store just across the way was really helpful while traveling. Would highly recommend!

We came to Napa/Sonoma yearly to wine taste. The cottage was excellent, quiet, small with an electric fireplace for heat which we enjoyed, we ate breakfast in the morning, drank great coffee, and had a great sleep nightly. Bonus was the owner's beautiful back yard! Julie Wilson

Very nice studio. Everything was clean and in perfect condition. It is close to everything you need: groceries, restaurants and gas stations. And a quiet neighborhood. We will book this again when we visit Santa Rosa.

My husband and I were in town to celebrate Thanksgiving with our son, daughter in law and three grandchildren. We arranged to stay at John and Jean’s vrbo and it was a great decision. From the rosebud (cut from their rose bush) on the table, to the dish of chocolates, the coffee and half/half in the fridge, the beautiful thick, plush towels…these hosts are the best vrbo hosts I’ve ever been fortunate enough to get, by far. The studio was just as advertised (although I did not realize how many special touches they included!), and it was clean and just lovely. Even my husband, who doesn’t always focus on such things, was impressed. We will be looking up John and Jean the next time we come to Santa Rosa to see the kids!

We visited Santa Rosa to celebrate our 25th anniversary! The guest house was as advertised. It was very clean, accommodating, and astutely appointed! We appreciated the wine bottle opener and glasses, and the local coffee with the French press!

We had a wonderful time. The property/studio was modern, clean, safe and easily accessible. Communication with the property owners was swift and easy. Restaurants and shopping was a quick walk which is ...... awesome. What a great experience!!! We were here for a business stay, but definitely would come back here in a heartbeat for a relaxing getaway to venture out, enjoy nature, wine taste, see the sights, and eat great food. Thank you!!!!

The location was in a great neighborhood and easy access to everything in the area. John recommended Portalupi wine in downtown Healdsburg and El Molino Central in Sonoma. Both places were excellent. Will definitely come back.

I almost hate to give an outstanding review for fear it will decrease the chances of availability when we want to return! While we never met the hosts, the communication with John was spot on. Clear, helpful and available if needed. They had an out of town wedding to attend and we felt like we were at home away from home. Extremely private, warm, welcoming. Everything you need is right there. Lovely little personal touches….a fresh rose from their gorgeous rose garden, chocolates near the bed. Super soft towels, wonderful areas just to hang in the yard with a bottle of wine. Convenient to anything you want to do in the area. Can’t wait to return!
