clean and spacious, nice to have two kitchens. Great pool and hot tub. Very limited lighting, Wi-Fi keeps kicking out, need some instruction about pool that are readable.

House is huge. Closed to the beach and shops. Everything was in walking distance. Management was awesome. Communicates really well and quick to respond with requests. I would come back here again.

Nice house with a great location, spacious enough for everybody. Pool lights didn't work as well as some wall switches, remote controls and could use some updates here and there but overall the house was perfect for our stay. This house was beautiful and able to fit our large group. The location was perfect and everything was very clean. There were a few pieces of furniture that clearly had some issues, but nothing that impacts the stay. Overall fantastic home and would certainly return!

This property provided us with an incredible experience in the Hilton Head area! We had a group of 15 people comfortably fit (could have even fit a few more) without any issues throughout the house. Elevator was out of service, but we didn't even really need it. Location was essentially right on the beach and within a 10 min walk of restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend anyone stay here!

The house and location can not be beat. Five Star Properties, which manage the house, were excellent to work with and I recommend them highly.

The location of the property and the space available was just what we needed. Some of the furniture (chairs, couch) on the second floor were defective (legs of some chairs and the leg of a couch). The sliding glass door on the first and second floor did not lock consistently, problem with the door latch. The remote controls in the third floor bedroom did not function (could not change the TV channel). Contacted rental service about TV trouble, and a smoke alarm battery problem, indicated they would send out someone for repair, no one came to my knowledge. Unable to close garage doors from the outside.

This house was perfect for my family of 13. We were surprised as to how big all of the bedrooms were and how much space we had. After we booked it I was nervous because some people didn’t write the best reviews but those people must be crazy! The house was clean, the company was responsive and the pool was wonderful. We did not heat the pool and I’m so glad we didn’t as it was the perfect temperature for the South Carolina heat. We rented bikes and rode into Coligny every day. Oh, the beach is amazing. There is a private access and it isn’t crowded where the house is which was nice because everyone told me that if we were staying near Coligny it would be crowded. My only suggestions would be for the house to have more things like spices (they don’t have anything saved in the house…not even salt and pepper) and to have beach chairs for the guests to use. Overall we would definitely want to stay there again.

We had a great experience staying at Pura Vida on HHI. It was close to the beach and accommodated everyone from Ohio! The room listings were exactly what were listed in the descriptions, which allowed each family to have their own space and private bathroom. The pool and pool table were wonderful features also that were utilized frequently. There were a few minor things the owners should update/fix which would help make this the perfect beach house. They were small things such as light switches not working, sink dripping, outside pool light nonworking, margarita machine broke, washing machine leaking water, etc., but all of it was minor and we still enjoyed our stay.

We loved the layout of the house & have already reserved it for our 2022 vacation!

First off, the outside of this home and location is AWESOME. Our group size was 13 people. Couples and families. This house was sufficient for the group size. Here are the pro’s and con’s of the property. Pro’s: -Beach is within a few feet of house -House is large with bathrooms in every room -Management is GREAT -Plenty of outdoor space -Close proximity to grocery stores and shopping -Plenty of common area spaces for a non cramped feel Con’s: -House is dated. If you want a nice interior this house is not it. The elevator was broken (although management took care of the situation) Our bedroom was on the 3rd floor and the shower was broke the first day with water stains on the carpet and a musty smell... The outlets did not work in this room either and there were extension cords laid throughout the room. -None of the TV’s are up to date. You can only stream in one place in the house and only Netflix. -WIFI is slow -The pool and hot tub cost $50 a day to heat. If you don’t heat it, your hot tub will not be a hot tub. -no beach towels or any beach equipment at all. -the stove took about 30 minutes to boil water -3rd bedroom (considered a master) was deceiving. It is the worst bedroom in the house. View is okay, but the other six bedrooms have a better layout. A few things to note: Management was wonderful!! Anytime we needed anything Meredith always responded promptly. We called before visiting this property and we were only blind sided by a few inconveniences. At the time of the call we were made aware of the elevator being out of commission. They handled that very well though. The master sweet is on the SECOND floor. The 3rd floor is a nuisance if the elevator is broke. Do not put your parents or grandparents on that floor. Rather someone who don’t mind steps and would like a balcony. Final thoughts: The location is great and the size of the house accommodates plenty of people. Management is great and accommodating. The house is dated to a level I was not expecting. If everything is working in this house I’d imagine it would be just fine! I recommend this home mainly for location and size.

The large laundry room is also located on that level and has a sink, drying rack and very large washer & dryer that worked well. We found that the pool table made the perfect laundry folding area! There is a half bath located by the spa with access from the outside which was convenient and kept wet feet out of the house. There was ample seating on the covered spa deck and four lounge chairs on the pool deck, as well as a towel rack which came in handy for our large group. The patio furniture was changed out during our stay. There was also a gas grill which we used that had plenty of propane and worked well. Having the main kitchen plus another bar kitchen downstairs was also a bonus. The two full size refrigerators and freezers and three dishwashers made food/drink storage and cleanup for our large group very easy! The bedrooms were well appointed and the beds were very comfortable. The main kitchen in the second floor was spacious, had a side by side refrigerator/freezer, oven, warming drawer, microwave and two dishwashers. There was plenty of seating for meals (5 at the counter, 8 at the ‘breakfast table’ and another 8 in the formal dining room). The master bedroom has a very large bathroom with a separate tub and shower and a very large walk-in closet. Worth noting is the garage! It is HUGE!! Room for two cars to park in, all of your beach gear (we brought our own chairs, boogie boards, wagons, umbrellas, coolers etc.; there are none of those things provided at the home) AND a bonus garage extension of sorts that held all 13 of our bikes!!! If you plan on fishing, there is also a deep freezer in the garage that has clearly been used to store fish in (hence the smell). You really can’t beat the location of this house. It is an arm’s reach across from the beach and the path is literally right across the street; maybe five steps away. The house that sits right on the beach in front of this home actually provided some protection from the wind and sun which we found nice. Finally, the management company was very responsive throughout our stay for little things that came up. We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I loved this house and the location. Due to Covid, we all quarantined 2 weeks before arriving and only traveled outside to take walks on the beach which was within a block of the house. Meredith, with 5 Star Properties, responded quickly and assisted when we needed help with the operation of the pool and Spa, which were well used over our stay. There was a problem with the operation of the elevator, which in all fairness was out of the control of the Property Management, but did cause a concern for one of our party who had mobility issues. However, this issue was addressed and resolved in a manner that was as fair as possible given the circumstances. I highly recommend this house and would definitely rent another property with this Management Company. We had a great time!

Great size house that accommodated 10 adults with plenty of extra room for more. Good location with excellent beach access.

Location is great, although “ocean view” is a stretch. Short walk to the beach. When we arrived we were disappointed to learn that we needed to give a 7 day request to heat the pool. Management told me the 7 day policy was in the portal. However, it was Actually buried in the contract somewhere. (Guess I should have read every word) They very nicely sent someone out to try and heat the pool to Eventually inform us That the igniter was broken therefore the pool and spa could not be heated. SUPER DISAPPOINTING! Next, we noticed the freezer in the main upstairs kitchen wasn’t keeping our ice frozen. Again, someone came and instructed us to unload the fridge so he could defrost the freezer. We declined this request as we had 16 people’s food in the fridge. The downstairs ice maker never produced ice so they brought in bags of ice for us to store in the downstairs freezer. Lastly, one of the tv’s (maybe more, but we only tried to turn one on), never would work. They tried but could not get it working. I wish management had checked all appliances, televisions and the swimming pool before we arrived Would have made our visit more enjoyable without the inconveniences. Management response time was great, but in the end none of the problematic things were fixed during our stay, which was disappointing.

The property was great. We had a group of 18 fit comfortably. Property management was easy to respond. Would highly recommend.

This experience was awful. I brought people together from different cities to celebrate my birthday for what I thought would be an amazing time. Our plan was to spend our time in the comfort of this beautiful home limiting our exposure to Covid. I was wrong. Prior to arrival I sent several messages to the management company with questions and concerns - none of which were responded to. I alerted them that a couple of guests had compromised immune systems and requested that the house get sanitized. That didn't happen. Upon arrival we were greeted by the smell of mold. We thought no big deal - we'll just go buy some candles to mask the smell. We spent over $100 on items to freshen the house. Then we decided to test the elevator as one person in my party was wheel chair bound. When we opened the elevator door, we were overwhelmed by the smell of mold and noticed mold around the doorway. There was also mold in the game room closet. We then proceeded to sanitize the surfaces - counter tops, stair railings, etc. It was immediately apparent that the house had not been thoroughly cleaned; the clorox wipes were filthy after barely touching the surfaces. We then checked the beds; the sheets were stained. As we proceeded to wash the bed linens, we noticed sand in the dryer. In one room there were bottle caps on the floor which would've been difficult to miss had the house been cleaned. A tv in one rm didn't work. We attempted to prepare dinner on the first night and realized the oven and microwave were not working. The next day the appliance repair guy came by to repair the oven. He told us that the oven had been repaired several times. When we proceeded to use it, our food burned within 10 minutes because the oven overheated beyond the 300 degree setting. There was an F2 error code on the display. I spent too much of my time coordinating with the mgt company to try to get issues resolved. The presence of mold in the house agitated my sinuses the entire stay. My guests made the best of the stay, but I was embarrassed at having them travel so far to a house that was in such poor condition. This is not what I expected from a house at this price point. Once I returned home, I followed up with the mgmt company to discuss compensation. I was told my call would be returned that same week once they notified the homeowner. A week and a half later, I'm still awaiting a call back. This has been an awful experience. I'll never rent from this company again.

We had a great time just some things that would have been nice is not to have cockroaches. The cleaning was okay, the top of the lamps in the bottom downstairs room would fall down if you touched the lamps. my niece was planning around the curtain blind when the top part of the curtain fell on her and she had a bump on her nose. Two of the bedroom doors didnt lock. we fixed one of them our self. what we didn't see in the descriptions is that the hot tub is NOT hot. its an extra 50 bucks a day to have it heated where as when we would have stayed somewhere else it would have be no charge. BUT THE GREAT THINGS ARE that its supper close to the beach it felt like the house was right on the beach. we did pay to have the pool heated because we had small kids and that was nice. We went to have a great time and i felt like it happened.

The house was beautiful and the location was excellent. The starter packs were amazing it was a great idea. Body wash shampoo conditioner lotion and all of the bathrooms so if you get there late you don’t need to go by. The only issue we had was in one of the lower level bedrooms there was black mold above the entire shower. This would not have been good for anyone with mold allergies. We called and someone came and took a picture of it but it was never rectified while we were there. All in all great house excellent location would definitely stay there again.

Perfect property for our group. Disappointed in some things, like much-commented upon poor refrigerator on lower level, and completely broken dishwasher that has been known about for a while. Place could use a paint job and clearly had water damage to ceilings. Our reply to a Sunday "how was your first night" email was never responded to, and problems identified (minor, except dishwasher) were not attended to until Thursday, if at all. Overall, still a great home for our crew. We would return, but some attention to the details would be welcome.

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. The location is fantastic and wonderfully convenient. Overall the house is very nice and comfortable. It is awesome having so many of the bedrooms on the bottom floor which really gave the kids a place to hang out. We had several little challenges but the maintenance team was prompt in addressing them. Definitely a place that we would stay again!!

Excellent location and very relaxing vacation. The house was very well designed and comfortable. Only issue we had was one of the freezers was not working and after making contact to get it fixed, I personally had to contact the management company 3 days in a row after I kept being told someone would contact me. I shouldn't have to make contact 3 times for the same problem while on vacation but I would stay here again had a great time!

This house was beautiful and was in the perfect location for our family of 18. We had a few issues with things not working in the house when we got there and using the management company site to report issues was easy. Meredith and Tyler were both helpful with all the issues that came up in the house. Most issues were fixed that day. Every bedroom having its own bathroom was key for our family sharing the house. We loved the pool and the close proximity to the beach. During Covid, the beach by the house was much less crowded then the public beaches. We were always able to stay socially distanced from other families. We had a great time!

The house was the perfect set-up for our family (total of 17 people). Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, which worked out wonderful! A very short walk to the beach, & the close proximity to the shops & restaurants by Coligny Beach made it a great location for those of us that wanted a quick walk to shops. Check-in could have gone better...ended up the batteries were dead in the lock, so we waited about an hour for someone to open the house for us. The labels on the pool system were not marked according to the instructions, so the pool/spa did not work properly at first. After repeated calls to the property mgmt, we finally had the pool guy stop by to fix. Overall, we would rent this house again.

We stayed at this beautiful house for an extended time during the initial quarantine of Covid-19. Our experience of staying here while not being able to venture out anywhere beyond walking to the beach could not have been better. The proximity to the beach is amazing, you can hear the waves crashing every night and its a very quick walk back and forth to the house. We had a couple of toddlers with us and the house was very quiet between rooms and the access to the clean outdoor bathroom near the pool was perfect. Most days we would spend time at the beach and then return to spend the late afternoons in the pool and hot tub. The two large Subzero fridges are perfect for the beach, as is the ice machine. The house was was very clean and tidy upon arrival and there is plenty of space in the garage. We didn’t use the elevator as it is relatively easy to move from the garage up to the kitchen. Overall we can’t recommend this house enough, especially during a quarantine!
