You’ll pay for the view but not much else. Upstairs AC unit has mold and debris in vents. Main level AC filter was dirty in dire need of replacing. Cups in cupboards had cobwebs. Various light switches were faulty. And to top it all off there were brown stink bugs on the main and upper levels. The view was serene though..

We celebrated Thanksgiving with 4 generations coming together for the week. This beautiful cabin was perfect. Plenty of room to be together but also enough space to “take a break” from each other when needed. We stayed in several days and had everything we needed to cook our meals and enjoy our time together. The drive to the cabin was nice & paved and although we only had one vehicle, there was plenty of room for several more. Will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

The house is beautiful and has an amazing layout with an amazing view of the lake from the house. Will definitely be looking to rent here again in the future!

We had a great week in Tennessee in this cabin. Perfect lake view. Cabin was clean and nice. My family loved the lake and swimming. Our only complaint was the stairs going down the bank to the lake need work. There is broken stairs and railings. Other than that it was a great experience.

Property description states "This cabin is perfect for entertaining." Seating for meals inside and out exceeds 30. Host cancelled on Day 3 at 5:05 pm with no communication of concerns prior despite stating she had concerns on Day 1. (I was using property for family dinners and boat launch.) I apologized (“Hey, I just saw this. I am so sorry. We are just finishing family dinner, so everyone will be leaving.”) All family except those staying at the property (less than 8) vacated the property.
At 5:44 pm, the host messaged "I need you to vacate the cabin." I began packing up and requested my brother take his boat out of the water when he returned from boating. The host later arrived on premises with two other people and a local sheriff. The presence of law enforcement needlessly traumatized my 15 YO niece (my niece thought we were going to be arrested) and my 7 YO niece. I did not argue with the vacate request, kept all conversation civil, but did request to stay until check-out the next morning. (It was dark.) The host insisted I vacate that night and the sheriff confirmed that I needed to comply with the request. I messaged the host about 10:30 pm that the property was vacated. No partial refund was offered.
Safety issues: The dishwasher is not secured to the counter. The path to the water is very steep with wood railing/rope. The wood has fully exposed rusty nails/screws, is deteriorating, and comes apart when grabbed. Smooth stones under the rope are very slippery when wet.

Loved this area of the lake. Very nice dock & the use of kayaks was a plus. Spent most of our time on the lake or on the spacious deck. The walk to the dock was a little treacherous but other than that, an enjoyable stay.

The house is in the perfect location to enjoy the lake, boat rentals, restaurants, the Smokey Mountains and Dollywood! Check in was easy. The house was beautiful and clean. Beds were comfortable. Sitting on the top deck is so relaxing. The way down to the lake is not ideal for older adults or little children. The railings and steps are close to falling apart. Once down to the dock, it's great and you can spend hours swimming, kayaking and catching small fish. I would recommend this home for families that want to visit all the sights in east Tennessee but don't want to be in the congestion of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We will definitely visit again once the steps down to the dock are fixed.

Really nice place on the lake. Be careful taking the steps down to the lake. Pretty much a perfect stay.

Nice and quiet cabin. It was away from the city but close enough for a quick grocery run. The dock and the wrap around porch were perfect for relaxing!

We enjoyed this very nice cabin on Douglas Lake! Clean, awesome porch and view of lake! Enjoyed the private dock. Fished off the dock. Kids swam in the lake. They had kayaks (we did not get around to using them but a great bonus)! Comfortable for a family trip. We had our parents (in their 70’s, us in our 50’s and our kids 21, 20 & 16) - it was roomy enough. Had very well appointed kitchen with all the utensils and dishes needed for the week. Love the quiet, secluded and slower pace on the lake but only 15-20 minutes back to Sevierville. Steps to the lake are steep but if you take your time, wasn’t a problem navigating. It was one of our favorite family trips to that area!

Very nice place.
Some suggestions: main floor shower head doesn’t work very well and the sink doesn’t drain well. Also stair railing down to lake needs work. That’s a safety hazard you should take care of. We had a great time.

Location on the lake was wonderful. Quiet. The drive into town was a little longer than I liked but it was more than made up for by the property. It’s set out of the way and is so pretty. If you’re going into pigeon forge or Gatlinburg then you’ll be thankful for the quiet when you get “home”. The interior was terrific. Beds were comfortable. We were a small group but this place can accommodate a decent number of people. Care is put into entertainment options, plenty of seating, etc. The kitchen had all the tools you need. The deck was amazing - such a view of the lake, a big grill and lots of outdoor seating. I’d much prefer the serenity of this property over staying right in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. They are busy with tourists and it was relaxing to to step into another world in the evening. WiFi, tv, etc all worked properly. I think the price was fair for all the space you get plus a full kitchen. Two thumbs up.

We had the best time at the cabin. The fall colors were beautiful. We had a great time kayaking on the lake.

We had a great time with our adult children 23-26 and their boyfriends and girlfriends. Fished off the dock, rented a boat for a day, fished off the dock, hiked in the Smokey National Forest chasing waterfalls, fished from the dock some more and my son took the kayaks out for a bit. Played corn hole, pool and poker. There were many games to choose from if we became bored. The spiral stair case is a bit creaky but sturdy and you can always use the outside stairs to the room above if you prefer. I will say that the trek down and up the hill is definitely a workout. The sunrise is breathtaking and the moon glistening on the water at night is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven!

This is a beautiful place to enjoy Douglas Lake and everything that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg has to offer. The walk from the cabin down to the lake was a bit tough. I would not recommend it for small children or elderly adults. I would definitely stay at Serenity View again.

Perfect for a multi-gen family vacation! The walk down to the dock was steeper than we expected but the boat launch at the end of the road was easily accessible and the Douglas Headwater Beach was a nearby hidden gem, perfect for a beach day with the little ones. Gorgeous views and gorgeous deck. Wonderful stay overall.

Wonderful location
This was our first time visiting Douglas Lake and we loved it. The location was perfect for taking out our paddle boards and swimming. The kids had a great time jumping off the dock. Would definitely like to visit again next summer.

Our family had an awesome time vacationing at this cabin. The view from the decks overlook the lake and the Smoky Mountains serve as a wonderful background everywhere you look. The water in Douglas Lake is clean and you get a great workout going up and down the hill to the dock. We will keep this on our list as one of our all-time favorite places to vacation. Hopefully we’ll get another chance to stay in the future.

This cabin is so amazing! We stayed here for 5 days and I honestly wish it could have been longer. The property is right on the lake, and we were lucky to have wonderful weather while we were here. The lake was at full pool, and the views from the cabin were spectacular. The walk up the hill from the lake is a hike for sure, but we were able to fish and swim right from the dock. There are also kayaks there to use! There is a boat access at the end of the road, which is a short walk from the cabin. The nice grilling station outside on the top deck allowed us to cook out almost every night of our stay, and there's a little fridge out there too! Cornhole boards on the bottom deck for fun family games, but I would recommend bringing your own bags. There was also a pool table on the main level, but in a small space,, so kinda hard to play. My family and I were able to make wonderful memories here! Communication with the host was easy, and responses were quick. I would definitely recommend staying here!!!

Had a great time in sevierville the propert eas very well described.
Clean and in order.
View was tremendous 👌
Road leads to a dead end with public boat access. Very quiet still with little to no traffic some days.

We reached the property at 3:00pm-ish per check-in with no issues. There was a few things I noticed which I didn't deem as a big deal. A pair of infant pants in the yard and a Pinto bean in the window. The view was amazing and my teenage boys were really excited to fish at Douglas lake in TN. My problem started when Kent charged my debit card substantial dollars proclaiming damages and trash left on the property that we simply did not do. We followed the house rules, loading the dish washer and I even went a step further to start the towels. When I ask for evidence he sent photos of the property that clearly wasn't from our visit. Pics of cigarettes and other garbage that wasn't ours. We don't even smoke!!! I went with this property owner b/c he was premier host, but beware he has issues with his cleaning staff as best I can tell. Take photos of any issues upfront and sent it to Kent upon checking in.

This is a fantastic cabin. But, like many cabins with wood walls, it was dark. Would have been okay but many lights were burned out or not working. Several outlets were also not working. And light switches were confusing. BUT, owner or representative was very fast to reply to any concerns. Would stay here again.

What a view!
Such a wonderful cabin! Bedrooms on each floor, bathrooms in master (upstairs) and on main floor. Lower level bedroom sleeps 4 comfortably. I've seen other reviews regarding the winding staircase up to the master, and though it is a bit noisy, we never felt unsafe. Both bathrooms are roomy, and we appreciated decent-sized showers.
Kitchen is well stocked for any cooking or grilling, and we did grill every night! Plenty of comfortable outdoor seating, too.
I will say that the walk/hike/adventure down to the water might be too much for some people. It is steep, and it was slippery/muddy during our stay. And then - you have to get back up to the cabin. Let's just say it's exercise...
Excellent, fast communication from owners. We would stay again!

All went well, but need to point out the following:
1. Staircase to third level was questionable and needs to be reinforced / repaired (crack visible) safety issue.
2. Coffee Pot was inadequate for number of adults in oyr party.

We stayed 5 days during Thanksgiving week. Almost everything we needed to prepare and serve Thanksgiving dinner was there in the cabin. Great location with beautiful views.
Host could work on cleanliness and providing enough daily cleaning supplies.
