Room was not clean properly, shower was still dirty, linen was dirty.

I liked the general ecstatic of the building

There was. I electricity when we arrived. The Host did not show up for assistance at all. Then there was a horrid rotten smell from the street.

Die Unterkunft wurde doppelt vergeben und der Kontakt mit der Unterkunft war sehr schlecht. Die Alternative, die geboten wurde war schmutzig und mit Schaben im Badezimmer. Wir mussten nachts noch spontan in Kapstadt ein verfügbares Hotel finden. Definitiv keine Empfehlung!

Easy to locate and near to the mall

I like that it is in the center of all tourist destinations. Easily accessible.

Didn't like that my room didn't have aircon. Even B and Bs have aircon.

I liked Absolutely NOTHING about this place! This property is a fraud. I booked and payed for a balcony apartment. When I arrived at the property there was firstly no keys in the lock box. After trying to contact and call the property several times they finally responded with a text with a different code and the words “use this apartment for now”.. When I asked what does for now mean they did not respond. When I got to the apartment it was firstly, not a balcony that I paid for. Secondly, the apartment was so dirty, the toilet seat had splitters of dried urine in them and general bad smell.. the couch had stains.. bed sheets were torn with holes.. not a single glass, only old plastic cups.. the TV did not work and there was no iron.. I had to attend my meeting with wrinkled clothes.. I had thee most horrendous stay I’ve ever had through Bookings.com On top of all of that there was load shedding and not a single light or candle. . I must have tried calling the owner 20 odd times and sending texts which they blue ticked. What a traumatic experience I had that costed me R955.. Disgusting to say the least.

The apartment smelt like vomit, there was no air freshener left so that you could actually bare the smell. The tv was hanging skew so you couldn’t actually watch tv unless you sat with a tilted head which is ridiculous. The fan didn’t work either to help rid the smell of the apartment. We went down to the pool to catch some air cause of the vomit smell in the apartment and guess what? There was vomit there too! Omg, the worst stay ever! Oh and cherry on top. When we checked in, the cleaner was still busy mopping the floor and we couldn’t get into the apartment until she was done cleaning which took some time. The glasses looked dirty and didn’t end up using any of the plates, glasses or cutlery cause wow, cannot risk picking up bacteria and viruses from a filthy place.

If you like waking up at 5am in the morning, then apartment 716 is for you. The sound of traffic and taxis hooting in the early hours is a great way to start the day. No air conditioning in the stuffy rooms but if you can open the doors or windows to let in the air would be a good way to start. No worry about sleeping in 2nd room as the passage light in the corridors are on all night and light up the room even in load shedding. The view of the industrial area is a good back drop to Table mountain. The pictures on this site is misleading and do not reflet the real condition of room 716. Sparsely furnished with cheap furniture and worn out linen and towling with miss match crockery and dirty drinking plactic wine glass was the cherry on the top. Would not bother complaining as no one cares. So false advertising does pay.

1. There was no bed its crap 2. The service 3.the pool was not clean 4. They gave us a wrong room not the one we booked. 5. They gave us a sticky dirty iron 6. Everyday without fail electricity cuts 2times in a day but not even atleast 1 solar light is provided in the room.

The check out time was too early

The apartment had nice open space , the interior of room , the view , the artwork in corridors .

The toilet was very smelly , the shower smelled like urine, no plates to place our food , no electricity at the arrival time , no iron .

The design, location and the space is really amazing - the shower is huge and the apartment is overall serviced

Load shedding makes the room look super dark because the walls and floors are black/dark. Would be nice if they included complimentarys like milk/sugar cookie/oil,etc.

I love the apartment building and design

My room had no fan or air con, when I asked they said they don't put that in their rooms. When I stayed previously I had both, hence i repeated a booking. The window was tiny and offered no ventilation. There were two towels, no hand towels nor bath mat, and two pillows. I made the booking for 2 adults and when I requested more pillows etc it was refused. I sent what's apps, called numerous times but got no response most of the time. The electricity ran out as well as well. It is extremely sad that the various managers teams have such contrasting standards even though the price is the same. The manager, Oscar, kept referring to the bookings.com app to hide behind. But when you book you are not given options on management companies on the app. I was not aware there are several management companies. So they said on the app that rooms are soundproofed and no parties allowed. If you are going to hide behind an app you need to make sure your facts are valid, it is a noisy building, you hear everything going on including parties. The noise is not a problem though, it was the whole attitude and unhelpfulness of the management company that is a huge issue. The staff at the building are really obliging and it's sad that they will lose customers due to these inconsistencies. I am most disappointed and will never consider them in future, staff are rude and really don't care, it's just a job that pays them

The unit was clean.

I appealed to the hosts to help with problems in the unit but was ignored. The freezer was clogged with ice, one broken drawer removed with the other frozen solid. The toaster, cutting board and bread knife were missing. The toilet seat was loose and the window latch was on the verge of falling off. Strong winds made it impossible to keep the single window open, so as there was no fan, the unit was uncomfortably hot. I requested to swop the duvet cover for a top sheet but my opened whatsapp messages had no effect. I also mentioned that there was a constant noise from the DB board, no reaction.

We got room 818 again:( When you book Wex 1, they dont tell you which room you get until the day you check in. Room 818 has to be their worst room and sadly I got it again. It was dirty and sleezy. There was a used box of comdoms in the kitchen cupboard...really disgusting. This room gives the apartment block a bad name. The first room I ever stayed in at Wex 1 was clean and absolutely fine. But room 818 was disgusting. Dirty pillow cases and bedding. We had to cover the pillows with our tee shirts. No effort at all by the owner of this apatment.

It could have been clean, a rug in the lounge, no used condom boxes would have been great

Proximity to all the areas we wanted to visit. Little grocery store on the ground floor.

Apartment is in desperate need of proper cleaning. Bed was very hard. Given 1 roll of toilet paper for 2 night stay Not equipped for load shedding and if one cannot sleep through the generator noise then you are in trouble. Advert said sea view but its really a view of the docks.

The old cigarette smell. Dirty windows. Not enough plates. No mop. Dirty stained couch. Wifi wasn't working. No indication when it's loadshedding. Uncomfortable, noisy bed. Dirty floors. Smelly toilet. Super thin walls.

Absolutely nothing! I was meant to stay for 4 nights, i checked out 2 hour after checking in, they allocate me the wrong room type(told me they dont have the room types listed on Booking.com) & the place was filthy, smelled like sewage and the contact number provided was non responsive, had to drive to their office at The City Club on 368 Albert Rd, Woodstock, Cape Town, 7915, the staff at the desk told me theres nothing they can do I need to bare with it.

Near most amenities. Excellent views, good Wifi, shop in the building for daily essentials

There is a mini spar shopping supermarket. Security staff is visible outside while we request Uber. It is close to most places. Loadshedding isn't bad. The linens were clean. The pictures look like the actual place. We felt safe and comfortable.
