Excellent long term rental home.
My husband and I rented this home for 3 months as we were moving across the country and needed time to find a home to purchase. The location was perfect for us - just 5 minutes to my job and around the corner from a great park with a large dog park as well, which made our doggies very happy. Great neighborhood with friendly neighbors and very walkable. We loved everything about it and Lorraine and Teresa were incredible to work with before, during and after our stay. They made the whole process easy and worry free, which was important for us since the move itself was stressful enough.
Fully furnished with everything you need for a short or longer term stay. All in all a great experience!

The house was clean and very comfortable. We reallly liked the 2 patios. Great for having our coffee in the morning. It was nice to have so many spice options for cooking. Plenty of dishes and pots and pans to choose from, too. We would definitely book again when we are in the area.
The location was good for us. We were not far from the beach at Santa Cruz, family in San Jose and the airport.
Teresa was very accommodating for all our needs. Thanks again!

We stayed at this home recently with my family including young children and the grandparents. We needed a homebase to stay while I was in a wedding in San Jose and this certainly met our needs. The house was quite comfortable with plenty of room for everyone, clean, lots of little things there for your use such as paper goods, oils, and spices, laundry detergent, ect, which is always nice to not have to purchase yourself for a short stay. We certainly enjoyed the close proximity to the park with an excellent playground. Good food options near by. The owner was quick to respond and resolve the one set-back we had.

Cozy home
My husband and I took our kids to the Stanford-Cal Big Game and this house was the perfect location for our quick weekend get away. It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood with a beautiful park close by, In N Out right around the corner and a little hole in the wall cafe called K's Crepes that is fantastic for breakfast and lunch. It's not the most modern house but it was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Great house and great location
My wife and I and my 2 sons stayed here for Thanksgiving week. We really felt at home in Lorraine's house. It has a great floor-plan, open and light. It is close to shopping, Starbucks, a great neighborhood park, 20 minutes to SJ Airport.
We hosted Thanksgiving dinner for 9 - and even though we were not familiar with where all the kitchen utensils and such were, we managed to have a wonderful family event!
We will be back!!

Despite being close to busy main streets and shopping, this home is a peaceful oasis in a quiet and attractive neighborhood. Unlike some HomeAway rentals, this house is still a Bay Area base for the out-of-state owners, so renters should expect to share space with some of their belongings, pantry items, and personal toiletries.
We arrived at the appointed 4 p.m. check-in time on a Thursday, a few days ahead of our son's wedding, with established plans for our time. Unfortunately, the full-sized refrigerator was not operating properly; the owners had called in an appliance repairman who claimed it was fixed--but alas, this was not accurate. Stop-gap arrangements allowed us to use the kitchen, but this was far from what we expected, especially given that more family members were due to arrive to share the space and renew the joy of cooking together. In all, two days of plans had to be abandoned while we waited for a repairman and later assisted the son-in-law and handyman who brought in a substitute appliance. (We have had problems with a GE refrigerator of our own, so we are familiar with the issues...and we're now Samsung fans.)
Minor matters in need of attention should have been brought to the owners' attention by their cleaning crew; we have experienced similar issues in other rentals and these were no big deal, though we did notify the owners of the burned-out bulbs, etc.. Usually when we are checking out, owners only ask that the dishwasher be started and laundry left for cleaning staff to deal with. In this case we were required to launder the towels and have them in the dryer before leaving, as well as run the dishwasher and put all of the utensils and dishes away. (The owners had given these details along with the check-in instructions.)
The location of this pleasant house is a big plus--mere minutes to Safeway. We would not recommend the home for a family with very young children or those with mobility issues; one bath had only a small corner shower, and the other had sliding glass door on a shower-over-tub that would not allow for parents to bathe toddlers. There was a step-down main room, and the fenced rear yard had no real play area. We did feel it was excellent space for we 4 adults gathering with the affianced couple for family meals. The kitchen was furnished with top-of-the-line appliances and nicely equipped--for our family, the heart of the home and the most important room.

A great "away from home" home
Lorraine's Sunnyvale home was perfect for my family! Our 4 plus day stay in October offered us a great family retreat, plus opportunities to visit interesting local sites and attend Stanford Soccer games. Even though there is room for 6 to sleep comfortably, nearby hotels made it possible for 11 of our family members to spend time together and gather at the house for meals. The location was close to groceries and freeways for travel to San Francisco, Monterey, plus the Stanford campus.
Many thanks to Lorraine for providing many amenities for an amazing stay!

We recently stayed in this home. It is clean, well laid out with nice outdoor space. Our family found it a comfortable place to stay while commuting to Stanford Hospital for a week. We had a few mantainance issues that were quickly resolved. Other than a lack of good reading lamps in the master bedroom we were happy with everything. I would recommend the house and also rent it again if the need arises.

A great house where you feel right at home
We absolutely LOVED our 3-week stay at this great house in Sunnyvale. It was perfect for our family of 3 plus 2 grandmas. Our 5-year old was so happy there that sometimes it was hard to persuade her to go anywhere else. She really enjoyed all the toys and children's books available and the nearby park with an amazing playground, and we all enjoyed the backyard and the charming enclosed courtyard, even for stargazing. To sum it all up, we felt right at home and were very sad to leave. The owner was very accommodating when we were arranging our stay, and everything was just like she described. We would definitely return anytime! This house made our vacation perfect. Thank you, Lorraine!

Great place for our family
When we needed housing for a family wedding event, this house was a great place to call home. Initially the house was not ready when we arrived but owner was willing to compensate us for the inconvenience and replied promptly to my call. Property was very spacious with two outdoor spaces and room to spread out inside too. Microwave was confusing to operate so would suggest a quick user guide be posted nearby. AC was a plus for the hot summer weekend. Carpeting is very light colored and would suggest its time for a good shampoo. Quiet neighborhood with easy access to shopping and restaurants.

Spacious house in a quiet neighborhood
We really liked how close this home was to a shopping center. Homeowners were easy to contact when needed and accommodating when we had to return to the home after checkout to retrieve some items we forgot to bring with us. We would definitely stay here again if we're ever in the Mountain View/Sunnyvale area. Thank you!

Excellent home in a very convenient location
I rented Lorraine's home for some wedding guests visiting from out of state. They loved the home and the fact that it was fully equipped and very centrally located. What also made the difference is that the host, Lorraine, is very responsive in email and phone communication, and that always makes a big difference. Many thanks, Lorraine!

Worked out great for San Jose trip
Stayed here for about a week in April 2017 and it worked out very well for my group of 4 adults and 1 toddler. This house is in an excellent quiet location with easy access to the various places we wanted to visit - Big Basin Redwood park, Avaya stadium, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, etc...seemed like the worst of the traffic on the freeways was always going the opposite direction we were, another indication we chose the right place to stay. The park (within easy walking distance) was a very nice one. The kitchen in this house was nice and useful and we were able to make our own breakfast each day. The price was reasonable considering the otherwise incredibly high rental & housing prices in the Bay Area (by my standards, anyway). If/when I visit San Jose again, this rental would be top of my list - thank you!

This is an excellent villa and includes the home comfort you would need for a great holiday.
This was a lovely house, spacious, comfortable, clean and well equiped. Lorraine was very helpful and visited to see if everything is ok. In short I would have no hesitation in recommending this house to family and friends.

Spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable!
The owners are great and communicative, the home is cozy and incredibly well-furnished (the furniture, cookware, televisions, etc. are all amazing), and there are many fun things to do and good places to eat in the area. Highly recommended!
