The property was clean, plenty of room for the four of us. Fantastic location! Just a 5-7 minute walk to the ferry. Very safe neighborhood. Great local restaurants. So easy to get to New Orleans, too!

3 couples of old friends who were there for one's 50th birthday. You stay in Algiers Point so that you are in a nice low key neighborhood with great access to New Orleans proper by ferry (make sure ahead of time that the ferry meets your desired hours or you'll be doing the uber/lyft thing, which is fine b/c it's not expensive.) Bruce's place meets this need perfectly. You'll have the upper floor of the house (no lower guests while we were there.) Comfortable, traditional decor with nice bathrooms and kitchen. Would it have been nice to have a corkscrew, curtains in the living/dining area, and a couple of extra blankets? Yes, but that it is truly nit-picking about a great place and owner. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay, the house was wonderful. Will stay again if i ever came back to New Orleans

House was perfect location for our time there. Our daughter got married on Algiers Point and we were within walking distance of all festivities. Having restaurants close by was such a plus and we never tired of Baracuda taco stand! Breakfast at Tout de Suite was our daily go to. Delicious!!
Only negative we can note was the early mornings wake up call by the rooster next door. Might be something our host could address with neighbor.

This was the perfect location to gather for thanksgiving with daughters that live in Algiers point. We walked everywhere! The neighborhood is charming, safe and very friendly. Loved being here!

The property was very convenient to the ferry (10 minute walk) a very eclectic house with period furniture. The property owner is very responsive and very good to work with. Would highly recommend this property.

Love the house. Perfect location. Furniture needs some repairs. Definitely would stay again and again.

Perfect location! Beautiful home, very comfortable. Easy and prompt communication with property manager. Friendly neighborhood. Tout de Suite so close is AWESOME for breakfast! Suggestion for the back bedroom: heavier curtains would provide needed privacy with lights on at night.

The property was exactly as advertised. We especially loved the location. It was just 5 short blocks to the Algiers Point Ferry and a 5 minute ferry ride to downtown at Canal St. So with Jazzy Passes we parked our car and took the ferry each morning. It sure beat fighting traffic driving over the bridge. We can do enough of that when not on vacation!
Our host also provided clear directions to drive to the house since our GPS, for some unknown reason, could not find the address to guide us to our destination.

This was the perfect location to stay for our annual girls trip. A nice quiet but friendly neighborhood just a 6 to 7 minute walk from the ferry. The home was a perfect size for the 3 of us so that we each had our own bedroom and private space. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings before our day started. The ferry made it easy to cross the river and pick up the trolley for a short ride to the French Quarter and market. Purchasing a 7 day LePass ticket for unlimited ferry, trolley and bus access made getting around the city super easy and for late nights out we used Lyft/Uber rides to get back to the house.
Bruce was a fantastic host providing several restaurant recommends which we enjoyed and he responded quickly to any questions or inquiries. Our check in/out process was easy with no issues. We will definitely keep Bruce and his property in mind for future visits.

Absolutely lovely home. A quiet place to relax away from the NOLA crowds at the end of each busy day. Would definitely recommend.

Very clean, well maintained property with a fantastic location. It could use some curtains in the main living area to help reduce the summer heat.
Plenty of room for our two couple and again we can't say enough good things about the property.

This property was perfect for our trip. We got in got groceries and were able to have a nice dinner at the house the first night. The farry was super convenient. So easy to get in to town and the house was great to come home to.

Absolutely loved our (first time!) visit to New Orleans, and this property was a huge part of that. Easy walk to the ferry terminal to cross the river into NO proper and so much easier than having to figure out where to park over there or paying an exorbitant amount per day to park for a hotel in the main city. The vintage look/feel of this property also is a plus and my wife and I very much enjoyed it all. Would absolutely stay here again without hesitation and recommend it to anyone considering a NOLA visit!

Beautifully renovated home in a nice area. Felt completely safe. Very quiet area, nice neighborhood eateries, park, and walking distance to ferry ($8.00 for 3 days also covers trolley and bus). When we decided to stay in NOLA late (2am) we just hired an Uber $16, but we did go early 1 day and found parking along street. On Sun parking is free and Sat after 6pm it is free.
Back to the home/owner: great communication with Bruce. Will definitely rent here again.

We came down from Michigan not knowing what to expect. House was very nice and close to the ferry for the French Quarter. Nice little Taco joint across the street with good drinks. I would highly recommend anyone stay there if you don’t want to break the bank.

This is the perfect place to stay in New Orleans. Such a quiet little neighborhood within walking distance to the ferry, restaurants, and bars. It was nice to leave the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street behind and relax in this sweet little house.

Exactly as described and brilliantly situated just a couple of blocks from the Ferry with a decent selection of places to eat and drink without having to travel across the river

Stayed here with family (6 people total). The initial drive from the airport is a little long since this is located in Algiers Point; it’s across the river from the French Quarter. However, taking the ferry across the Mississippi saved us a lot of money on Ubers! Each ferry ride is $4 and it only takes about 10 minutes to cross (ferries are every half hour. The wall to the ferry dock is only about a 5-10 minute walk from the property.
The property itself is quite comfortable. There were 2 queens and 1 full size bed so keep this in mind! You do need to walk through the other bedrooms in order to reach the bedroom in the back which wasn’t much of a problem for us but it could be a privacy issue.
There was also a rooster that woke us up every morning that can be heard from all 3 bedrooms. No idea if this is a year round thing but definitely serves as an alarm clock in the month of June!
Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others!

Great accommodations. Location to the ferry made traveling back and forth to the convention site extremely easy

A charming house in a lovely neighborhood. The ferry is only a short walk, making it easy to get to the French Quarter. We also had a great time exploring Algiers Point, the tacos from across the street were amazing. The only downside was that the kitchen was missing some basics, such as a cutting board and Tupperware for leftovers.

This was a great location and beautiful house. It was just a 5 min walk to the ferry that placed you in the French quarter. If you didn’t catch the last ferry back, it was only a 10-15 min Uber ride. There were food, cafes and bars in the local vicinity, but was still a quiet neighborhood. The only drawback was too much contact with the owner. He was on the property when we arrived working on the apartment on the lower level. He had food stored in the our refrigerator that he wanted to get out, which was fine. However, he waited until we were leaving for the evening to come in and get it. So he was still in the apartment when we left. Then next morning I received a text that he needed to come in and take measurements on the back bedroom window. He did this while we were gone and then placed a towel that was tossed on the bed in the bathroom on the rack. The day before we left I received another text wanting to know what time we thought we would be leaving and a list of things he request us to do before we left: wash towels, strip beds and wash sheets, etc… if we had time. A list of these requests were already in the house. So if you can get around those things, it’s a great place to stay.

We enjoyed the location. Easy to get into New Orleans on the local ferry. Fascinating house and very spacious. Friendly area. Friendly and helpful host. Shame there are a few areas that need attention eg ripped curtains and windows need renewing mainly in back bedroom, shower curtains need replacing.
We would definitely recommend this house if these areas are addressed.

The house was great, it could have used some window coverings in the main living areas, but it wasn't a deal breaker.

Absolutely the most beautiful home. When we go back we will for sure stay here. Very well maintained and beautiful antiques throughout the house. Loved cooking on the high end appliances. Very comfortable beds. A couple blocks from the ferry and diagonal from great taco stand.

The property is good and clean. It is a short walk from the ferry to go across the river. Just needs a fan in the side bedroom off of the den. Great porch to sit on!! Great coffee shop (Toute de Suite) and French restaurant (Tonti’s Hand) are highlights of Algier’s Point.

Wonderful property on Algiers Point! Spacious, quaint, beautiful, rich yet comfy cozy. Pretty well stocked kitchen only missing a few minor utensils. Loved hearing the sounds of waterbirds, boat horns, trains, a calliope and a piano player next door!
A walk around the neighborhood makes you feel happy as you take in the colorful aura. With a short ferry back and forth to the French Quarter, I’ll make it a Point to stay here again.

Little snafu initially but was made right without issue. Good host to work with.

This property is gorgeous - all classic furniture and decor. Check-in was easy and the off-street parking was nice to have. It’s right across from an awesome taco bar, and less than 5 minutes walk from a pizza place, a cafe, a British pub and the ferry. We took the ferry into the French Quarter each day. It was awesome to get to see the sites and return to a quiet safe area. The host was also accommodating of our timeline and communicative about check-in and check-out. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
