Great home base to explore Boston, Cambridge and Lexington. There’s parking! (Rare in this area) close to public transport and very Uber accessible. Walking distance to many things!
Home away from home because it has all the amenities we needed to be comfortable - us w/ 3 adult children and 1 grandchild.
Fully equipped kitchen, nice, big living and dining areas. Quick, friendly reply from owner when we had questions. Overall, we enjoyed this house and location. Highly recommended and we will be back! Thanks Lynne

We very much enjoyed staying at this home in Cambridge. The location was perfect. Very walkable to local restaurants, the science museum, the subway station, and downtown Boston. The house was clean and spacious with plenty of room for all 6 of our guests. We would absolutely stay here again if we found ourselves in the area again!

Cannot say enough wonderful things about our week long stay at this home. Fabulous piece of history in this impeccably maintained 1844 Greek Revival infused with modern conveniences. I traveled here with my family, including 4 WFH adults who all had private desk areas to use. Everyone was happy!!
The kitchen was modernized and well appointed, the common areas were spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms had everything we needed (even a steam shower) and the bedrooms with super comfortable bedding were a welcome comfort at the end of long walking days.
The upstairs suite is an extra special delight, like we were staying in Sweden.
The back porch is delightful, and the front porch was lovely to sit and watch the storms roll in.
Lynne was incredibly responsive and attentive to all of our questions and needs. Thanks again for a wonderful week!!!! Xo

The property and Lynne exceeded all expectations. The house was a home away from home with everything we needed for a two week stay without a car. The location was fantastic - walking distance to a supermarket, restaurants for breakfast, dinner or just a quick coffee. The property was close to central Boston, but also quiet so we could unwind sipping gin and tonic on the terrace. We got Ubers everywhere to go to museums, aquarium, MIT, Harvard (although Museum of Science is just a few blocks away), for trips to see the whales, for walks along the coast, visit family and later to head down to Cape Cod. The house was also a short drive away from Harvard Square to visit my son at the summer school. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Lynne.

Quaint revival with great beds and fully stocked. T is 4 blocks away. Construction noise was a bit annoying during the week but that’s progress I suppose.

Spacious, comfortable house in East Cambridge made for a perfect home base during our recent trip to Boston. The house was just as it appeared in the photos. The beds were very comfortable, everything was neat and clean, the kitchen was extremely well stocked and check-in and out was a breeze. An excellent place to stay and I would happily return to it if I ever find myself in Boston again.

We recently stayed at this property for a spring break trip to Boston. Although I would recommend going to Boston when it is a bit warmer and the duck boat tours are running, this house provided a great place for our family to hang out when we needed to warm up from the chilly air. Many restaurants were within walking distance, and it wasn’t far from the nearest MBTA stop. We loved the 3rd floor master suite (FYI the stairs to the 3rd floor are pretty steep), which has a small sitting room that was perfect to entertain the little kids before the rest of the house woke up. With the kids and grandparents with us, it was nice to have a big dining table for us all to eat takeout from one of the local restaurants, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We road-tripped to Boston, so it was great to have a dedicated parking spot. The host was very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in this piece of Boston history and hope to come back someday!

This house was perfect. I stayed here with friends & colleagues for a conference at Harvard, and it was everything we needed and more! The home had a warm eclectic vibe with a fully stocked kitchen and enough space that 7 of us were not living on top of each other. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to see, from Harvard yard to the North End, and close to the train station we used to visit Salem. Lynne, the host was a great communicator and very kind even when we had to wake her up late at night (after having had a few drinks) when one person in our party accidentally locked us out. Her cats who hang outside the house were very friendly too! Would absolutely love to stay here again. Highly recommend.

The location felt very safe and was extremely walkable for anything you may need.
Nice big kitchen with windows overlooking the deck and garden.
The parking easily fit both of our cars.
Lynne was very easy to contact when needed but was respectful of our family’s privacy.
In all, a five star experience.

- perfect for a family gathering
Everything about our visit was terrific, My seven year old and five year old grandchildren from Portland Oregon( and thei parents) got to meet their three month old Boston cousin for the first time. The location was perfect for visits to wonderful children’s experiences in Boston. And my Boston granddaughter and her parents came every night for supper around a very well equipped kitchen and a large dining room table. So grateful to our host Lynn. Lynn. She was helpful and easy to connect with.

All We Could Possibly Have Asked For... Plus More
House was absolutely excellent and everything we needed for a stay in Cambridge to celebrate our daughter's wedding. Comfortably fit our family of 6 adults for 4 nights... 3rd floor (with roof deck) turned out to be perfect for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready on the wedding day... kitchen island was large enough for everyone to gather... patio and gardens were very relaxing... having a driveway to park in was super convenient... location could not have been better: quiet residential street, but nearby were restaurants, coffee shop, grocery store, church, wedding venue.
Lynne was very responsive, accommodating and also just a really nice person.

Our family spent Christmas 2020 apart due to Covid. We planned this trip for over a year to accommodate everyone's schedule and enjoy a family get together to make up for it.
Lynne has a wonderful home that is truly a labor of love. It was a perfect place for a family of six to relax and sightsee everything the Boston area has to offer.

This 1854 Greek Revival made for a fantastic experience. It was exactly as advertised and immaculate. I traveled from CA with my wife and two adult family members for our son’s graduation. We stayed four nights. We arrived late the first night but all the instructions were simple to follow and we settled in no problems. We were all very excited upon walking in and seeing how beautiful this place was. The two bedrooms on the second floor were very good size and the entire 3rd floor is like a hotel suite with large bedroom, separate living space with couch, chairs, table and desk and a very nice bathroom with large shower. The shared bathroom on the second floor was also very large. The bathroom on the main floor is a little tight with a tub only. (We did not use the tub) Everything in the kitchen is modern and the only thing you need to bring is food and beverage. There is a wet bar in the kitchen that has an under sink water filter so no need for bottled water. There is a very cute roof top balcony off the third floor suite and a good size deck outside the kitchen door. The suite upstairs has air conditioning. The rest of the house does not but manages to stay cool. We had two days of 86-93 degree weather and we were never uncomfortable. Lynne, the owner lives in the apartment to the rear of the house and is very kind. She is there when you need something but not when you don’t. The house was so perfect and well stocked with clean towels and all kitchen essentials that you really shouldn’t need to reach out for anything. There’s also a washer/dryer. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and even took a late night walk. Things you should know: There is a high rise apartment building going up a couple blocks over so you will hear construction noise starting around 7-7:30 am, but it really wasn’t an annoying level. The other thing is the steps. To get to the 3rd floor suite, the steps are very steep and narrow with a turn midway up. It wasn’t easy getting my large suitcase up there but it was possible. I’m 58 and healthy but if you have trouble with stairs in general or are a very large person, the 3rd floor is probably not going to work for you. That suite is definitely worth the climb though.
It takes under 15 minutes to drive into the center of Boston…we were there on a busy weekend and the Uber rides into town for five of us was anywhere from $35-40. Uber xl from the airport to the house $46. Overall this place is a 10.

Beautiful House!
5 of us stayed at Lynne’s Cambridge property for marathon weekend. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. A comfortable space with beautiful decor. Plenty of space with a well kitted out kitchen. A short 2 mile walk to Boston Common. Would highly recommend staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this VRBO. We traveled with a multi-age family (grandparent, adults and teens) and there was so much space for us to not only be all together but also space to get away when you need peace and quiet. In addition to the modern kitchen and bathrooms there were nice touches with extras. We didn't use the umbrellas, bathrobes, hairdryer and games it is safe to say this VRBO is stocked. Many of us also mentioned how much we enjoyed the eclectic art and rugs though out the house. I wish our trip would have been just a month later so we could see the garden really come to life and truly enjoy the 2 patios.
Lastly, the real win was how conveniently located we were to everything we wanted to do but how quiet the neighborhood was.

This house was very nice. It has plenty of room for our family of 4. Bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Bathrooms had great shower pressure and not cramped. Kitchen was very usable and there was a large dining table that we used frequently. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. Lynne was a wonderful host and helped us with all of our needs. Highly recommend, would stay here again.
