The staff was very friendly and nice! The guy working at the Riad helped us a lot. The place is beautiful.
There is zero noise cancellation, so you can hear every single step and noise. Also, there is no single window facing the street, all the windows are facing the inner yard which has a roof on top, so you don't get to have fresh air, and when they fry something for breakfast the smell just goes directly to the room.

Friendly and helpful staff, spacious room (thanks to the Riad for the upgrade), comfortable bed.
There are not many restaurants near the Riad. Nevertheless, the Riad offers half board, which I didn't try so can't comment.
Unfortunately, one key staff was sick (flu, covid?) and still had to work, risking to spread it to customers. This person was doing a great job with big efforts, but should have been replaced by another staff to recover and prevent spreading viruses.

Salaah was a very kind and attentive member of staff who was always ready to help us.
The shower in the room sprayed out of the shower cubicle.

beautiful Riad with spacious comfortable room and bed, and incredibly nice accommodating staff. Salah took wonderful care of us, always available to help, super nice and friendly and made our stay exceptional!
nothing to do with the Riad, but the teenagers outside in the streets near the Medina will say you are going the wrong way, walk with you to show you the right way, then ask for money. be prepared and tell them you don’t need any help. luckily the staff at the Riad are very quick to answer the door to let you in and tell the people to leave you alone.

There is nothing that I didn't like. I was like at home.

Room was very big and in a very good condition, also nicely decorated. Breakfast was okay but without any changes. Location was okay if you like not to stay in the center.
There is zero noise insulation. Especially for the rooms on the ground floor this can mean waking up early to noises from breakfast. For pretty much everybody it can be a had to sleep with whatever noises coming from other rooms.
This was the case much more than in other Riads I stayed in
Possibly due to post - covid it felt like the staff wanted to have me stay for dinner and also to book tours. I was the only guest.
Information on Google maps about the riad being closed seemed not very reassuring.

Really attentive and kind staff. Efficient in dealing with your requests and helpful every step of the way. They organised and set up a tour with a superb tour guide- Yasin, who was gentle and caring towards my grandma and I.

Once you figure out the maze of alleys leading to the main bab ( gate) to the medina, the trip from Dar Chrifa to the main attractions of Fes is quite within reach on foot. Having stayed in a riad in Marrakesh, we were able to appreciate the upper scale decorations and amenities of this one. The architecture of all riads may be similar, but the size, the furnishings, the decorations make all the difference. Dar Chrifa is divided into apartments, one more beautifully decorated than the other- the doors were open to the ones unoccupied, so we could walk into several. We were offered a different suite than the one we had booked; the next day they realized their mistake ( we hadn't) but they didn't charge us extra, which was decent of them. Breakfast was in the inner hall and consisted only of jam spreads, olives, oil (argan?) and some cheese; good for local taste. There is a rooftop terrace which offers views over the neighbourhood.
Sound travels fast in this riad. After having a phone conversation on the rooftop, I went back to our suite with the info, but I was told it wasn't necessary, as they had overheard everything from the room! Once in the main central hall, you have to speak really quietly, or else everyone will hear you. Also, the bathroom of the Musk suite was in dire need of a good scrub; lots of hairs, the floor was far from clean and the sink tap hadn't been scrubbed in ages... When I took the hair dryer from its stand, it came off, stand included, leaving a hole in the wall... Also, there's a significant difference between the main room of the suite, lavishly decorated, and the other bedroom, which looks more like a room in a hostel, sparsely decorated and crowded with three beds.
