Wow, Montecastillo is very beautifully set in peaceful surroundings. Everything is maticulously maintained to a very high standard. The bar staff were brilliant, exceptional customer service at all times.

Nice and tranquil surroundings, room was fine and clean.

on line check in - rubbish, hard to complete- they need to try it themselves! check in ridiculously long even though we had online check in done. invoice ink grey on grey do hard to read. All facilities at adjacent hotel - not even a bar at our hotel.

Breakfast was great choice, taste and presentation. Room was a good size and bed comfortable.

Door did not close properly. There is a gap to the frame and closes with a loud bang. Some hairs in the shower floor. Spa is short of staff, could not take bookings. Paid parking.

The morning buffet...

Facilities ok when it’s not closed, or just for the adults. Bad WiFi and supplement for everything. As soon as we did the check in, I knew it was not a place for a family with young children. I’ve booked only one room for my wife and I, and my daughter of 6 YO. My other daughter of 2 YO sleep with us so to avoid to have 2 rooms booked, I had no choice to not declared her. We dont need a bed, and we dont need breakfast as she has her own milk. It’s not about money, it’s just we dont need 2 rooms because our children are too young to sleep in another room whithout us. When we did the check in, a non charming lady told us with a suspicious tone, « You have to pay for the baby ». I was not expecting that but why not but explain me why cause she wont have breakfast and we dont need an extra bed…The lady answers « she will use swimming pool and shower or not ? » …Yeah, sure…I let you think about the empathy of this answer, so we had to pay 40 more euros for her, I dont care about the money but the values when it concerns children count in my mind. Moreover, we have chosen this hotel for the « splash » a swimming pool for the kids…But what a bad surprise when we saw it was closed…It was not mentionned on Booking Concerning the room, we have been installed just above the reception…What an intelligent choice for a family with kids…Very noisy all day long, so difficult for the afternoon nap of the baby and also when you go to bed early with young kids… To finish, last but not the least, when we went to the buffet, pretty good I have to say, we asked for a glass of milk for my daughter…and we didnt know but it was 2 euros…They didnt tell us it was a supplement, which i didnt know cause in the morning you have milk…I was really surprised to see it on the invoice as the glass of wine were. But maybe it’s me…To be honnest, this is the first time i Saw this in my life, and in a 5 star hotel, i was shocked.

Breakfast was good. Staff friendly and efficient. Facilities excellent. Close to race circuit. Beds very comfy and our room was quiet.

Buffet lunch is overpriced and disappointing.

the hotel was closed so they hosted the clients in the nearby golf resort which was amazing.
