My family and I LOVED this place. Normally, when staying in Raro, we stay with our family, so "going off on our own" was a new experience for us. From the moment our family (3 children under 12) my elderly, Father and myself) arrived, to the day we left, everyone we met/spoke with was friendly, accommodating, and lovely to deal with. didn’t like the fact that we couldn’t swim directly from the beach as it is rocky. we spent every day at Muri so we could do thus.

The staff were awesome, specially Desiree! I had access to the water front from my studio, and had everything I needed - loved the relaxing atmosphere and my "neighbours"!

I had to walk 20 minutes to find a shop/café/restaurant.

The pool was amazing. The views were fabulous. Our host was very helpful and friendly. The fresh fruit provided was lovely.

The apartment is not as modern as it appears in the photos. A bit dated and very hot with only air conditioning in one room. But it was spacious and had everything we needed.

The receptionist, Desiree, was exceptional, and went out of her way to explain and inform. The provision of kayaks for use was wonderful when the complex is on the water's edge.

The scraggly tree outside our studio which obscured a clear view of the beautiful lagoon.

Enjoyed lots of space in the room and peace and quiet. Loved the fish at the end of the wharf and the general environment in the complex. Close to all the amenities of Muri are a real plus. Very pleasant staff who did a good job keeping the plus clean and tidy inside and out. Would love to take the grandkids there to enjoy the whole place.We made the most of no reliable TV programs and lack of reliable internet to really relax! Love the lovely warmth of Rarotonga and the sealife close-by in the lagoon which brings us back many times.

We made the most of no reliable TV programs and lack of reliable internet to really relax, but a video player could have been good on the wet days and consistent internet would be good (staff very helpful in organising wifi). Neighbours could have done with some board games for their kids on the wet days too I think.

Location, quiet, kids were able to build a hut, crack coconuts and have a bonfire and feed the fish off the jetty. Loved the turtles too.

I liked that the staff were super friendly and helpful.

The inside cupboards smelled musty and the shower didn't have much pressure and took ages to drain.

Away from big crowds and families. At times we had the whole pool area to ourselves, which led to extra family fun.

You must hire a car to ensure you can travel and get to food, restaurants and beaches. Didn’t like the bonfire night.

Beautiful and clean I would highly recommend Avana. we all had our own bedrooms and space for ourselves. The pool and surrounding area was well taken care of. We were given butter, bread, and fruit which was really nice because it was our first trip to Raro, reception was awesome too.
