I liked the sea view from my window.

*Lack of staff unfriendly *Made to feel unwelcome *Had to search for sea view past construction site *Couldnt find anyone when needed toilet paper had to purchase our own *The bed wasn't even properly clean *Grunted and pointed saying the room was that way gesturing with a wave of his hand put us on the third floor not mentioning their was a lift had to carry our heavy suit case up tree flights of stairs

Good hotel

Location. Clean.

Over priced...help yourself to breakfast...toaster kettle provided.. coco pops and bread n butter! no one bothered including us! Was promised sea view...had view of wall! Had kettle...tea n coffee in room but 1 cup...and was 2 of us! Very dated but room was clean...bed...could feel springs!

The beds were very comfortable and bathroom facilities were clean. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the pier. Large balcony area which looks out to the sea.

Some of the decor could do with an update. Some of the small lights above the bed didn't work.

Absolutely nothing apart from the location.

The only member of staff could not communicate at all. We arrived and the key was apparently locked in the safe that he couldn’t get into, so we had to borrow the master which he quickly proceeded to take back after we had barely walked in the room to settle. Then it turned out he had given us the wrong room number anyway! No parking as stated in the description so we had to park on the road. The cleanliness was horrendous. Hairs and dust and dirt everywhere. Cigarette burns in the carpet. The sink didn’t drain and the shower dribbled so we couldn’t even have a shower. There was old used soap left in the dirty shower, we didn’t even use the shower because the whole room and bathroom was filthy. Our view was a building site our the back of the hotel. There was health and safety hazards everywhere my friend tripped over the electric wire that the toaster was plugged into in the morning. We were told to come in the wrong door when we got back that evening so took us an age to even get back into the building. The breakfast was non existent as there was no chef! So I paid for included breakfast and got nothing. The whole stay was a complete disaster and unfortunately we would not recommend it to anyone. We spoke to other guests and they all said the same. I will most certainly be seeking my money back. We have never experienced anything like it and for all the money we paid it is a disgrace.

comfy bed, amazing view, clean room.

We got there having booked 2 rooms, they only had us down for one room. shouldn’t have been such a major issue, seeing as we were paying them there rather than it having been pre paid, and seeing as they clearly had a spare room as they found us two rooms, but there was about 10 minutes worth of phone calls and discussions about how we had booked 2 rooms when they only had one down. We even showed them our booking.com confirmation email that clearly stated ‘2 rooms booked’. whilst waiting, we looked over to the breakfast area, to see tomorrows breakfast juice sat out on the side…clearly was never going to see the inside of a fridge. we then made our way up to the room, through the dated corridors. our friends went into the first room, with no shower facilities, but at least they had a cupboard containing a toilet. we then went up to ours, and whilst the bed was comfy, and the room seemed clean, the only thing in the bedroom that had been replaced in the last 30 years was the radiator. the 30 year old wallpaper had been painted over the last few years to be fair. everything else was ancient. the windows were aluminium, the furniture was either purchased 40 years ago, or the owners know a house clearing company whom they get to provide them with their bedroom furnishings. The ones that have been refused even by the local charity who have been in to claim their part of the inherited furniture. the tv didn’t work, there was no hairdryer, the carpet was also left by granny in her inherited house, or perhaps it was fitted 40 years ago too…who knows. to their credit, the shower room that we benefited from which our friends had unfortunately not got in their own room, had been updated!

There was little to like about this accommodation.

This must be the worst b&b we have ever stayed in. The ONLY window was in the bathroom, accessed via a CURTAIN division with our room. The hotel advertised panoramic views. Our view via the bathroom window was of a building site outside. One socket with TV and adapter plugged in. Cups looked unclean (did not use). Towels and bathmats a dirty grey (obviously white originally). Receptionist spoke little English. Parking via 'work site' area. Room for one car unless blocked in by other guests. We've noticed this property is no longer accessed via booking.com, and has changed ownership, however, they are still advertising the booking.com ratings of 9.1 and 8.6, which clearly relate to previous ownership. We checked out before breakfast as could not face staying any longer. This stay was definitely NOT worth the £90 charge and we regret our original choice which was based on the good reviews available when we booked it.

Having the room leading out to a terrace where you can sit and admire the great location was a lovely surprise.

Some of the furniture is dated, but there are improvements being made.

Sea front location

Top floor rooms need complete refurbishment and shouldn’t be rented in that state. Filthy old fashioned, 1 electrical socket per family room for tv only . Fan smoked and can’t be PAT tested. Furniture run down, stained, needs replacing. Live Electrical cable taped up above bed, extremely dangerous especially as a family room. Unclean. 1 staff member helpful and hardworking but under new management. Main hotel and top floor rooms need a complete refurbishment. Convenient location. Free WiFi.

Breakfast was only cereal when we booked it stated full English was on offer but think ownership has changed since we booked

Bed comfortable

Carpet in room not vacuumed. Television smeared in dirt. Lounge littered with take away debris. Overflowing ashtray outside.

The man in charge was very helpful and friendly, the location was very good, near to the beach.

The early morning noise coming from the builders next door, which was out of the savoys control.

Location and The one guy running the hotel were good

Not free parking unless you find one on road. Old and run down, needs complete over haul.NO breakfast included other than an awful tea and cereal. £5 extra for a proper breakfast?? Dirty old carpets, hard uncomfortable beds, building work next door so woke at 7.30am. Views of a building not sea as advertised.paper thin wall so woke at 2.00am by other guests coming back drunk I guess. Shower temp broke so only really hot. Tea making facilites but no milk in room? Avoid until 2023 or until it’s been completely re furbished. Waste of £110 of my money and ruined my short break as too tired the next day due to no sleep.

The situation of the B and B was great and we had a lovely veiw from our room.

The standard of the cleanliness within the B and B itself was poor, I was already aware that it was a rather dated and in need of modernising from the reviews I had read when booking, but I feel that it should still be clean. The standard of service for the breakfast was sadly lacking, the cereals , bread and fruit and other foods were just left on the tables from one day to the next with no regard for cleanliness and food hygiene, The chap in charge of the B and B is friendly ( but be aware that there was no sign of the wonderful manager called Graham that a lot of the reviews spoke so highly of ) , but I think he has little training or knowledge of running such an establishment. Sadly the promise of a car parking space came to nothing and we parked in a car park down the road.

We were given a lovely room on arrival with a beautiful view. Lovely clean facilities and the staff were very helpful and polite.

We were disappointed that it didn't include a full English, just continental breakfast was included.

not a lot

dusty, no bin in room, very old furniture, poorly laid carpet, view of scaffolding on neighbours property, curtains did not fit window completely, breakfast was very poor and below expected standard of being offered more than cereal and Tea and coffee. pile of cigarette butt ends in the patio area. hanging baskets dried up and dead.

It was spacious and a nice welcome . lots of sitting areas. room was cute and clean . I was made to feel very welcome and all information was clear . I was shown my room rather than just given a 🔑. Also very helpful leaving fruit for breakfast as I had an early start .

I would recommend it

The owner couldn't have been more welcoming & helpful. Breakfast was freshly prepared. The view from the lounge was lovely. The Wifi was excellent for our granddaughter's need. Loved the pier & the 2 penny games. Great fun. The donkey rides & the horse drawn Thomas the Tank Engine on the beach were great

Room furniture tired and cheap. Carpet scruffy. Shower grouting all covered in mould. Opening window really dirty. Neither shower or window opening have ever been properly cleaned.

Stayed in the family for one night.. Great location and in the quieter side of the stretch. The place looks appealing from the outside with all the flowers and plants. Parking on site. Room was a good size, clean and balcony with great views 👌 Graham the host was very accommodating as per the other reviews. Opted for the full english Breakfast which was lovely and personalised.. when we came down, our table was set up with a baby high chair which was a nice touch. Will defo stay here again! Thank you!!

We were made to feel very welcome, our host made adjustments to breakfast for our daughter as she wouldn’t eat a cooked full English. Great sized room with a view and newly renovated bathroom.

The beds were very soft, made creaking noise if anyone moved, therefore unfortunately we didn’t have the best of sleep
