amazing location! Audrey and rolando are the most accommodating hosts! I cannot say enough about them! thank you both!

Location is ocean front, really! It's 30 - 50 feet from your room depending on the tides. If you love being in the centre of the action, this place is for you. Great music from the restaurant and wonderful staff who go beyond helpful! We've returned 3 times and will continue booking here. Beds are firm and comfortable. Our unit had an efficiency and we had everything we needed. Walking distance to many markets, stores and restaurants!

The location was ideal. Right on the beach, easy stroll to shops. AC in the rooms for sleeping comfort, great staff, quiet after 10 so can sleep.
Lounge chairs could have used cushions, I just brought the ones from our deck.

Very beautiful room. Glass doors facing the beach. Lovely decor. Little seating area outside and loungers by the beach. Went on a tour to watch turtles nesting in the beach. Highly recommend this. Was very impressed with the respect paid to the turtles. Reception arranged the tour. Good shopping and a great beach for walking.
Had a little flood in the bathroom late in the day I think due to sand in the drains. Staff was very helpful but had to wait until morning for the maintenance guy to fix. Hotel bought us breakfast to make up for the inconvenience. These things happen sometimes and can’t be avoided but the staff was doing everything in their power to help.

friendly staff. The room was nice. Massages in front of the beach for $30. Spectacular sunsets from the non-hotel bar next door.
The entrance is ugly and I saw cockroaches at the reception. It seems fatal to me that they copy the credit card numbers, and the worst thing is that they leave the papers where they put that information in plain sight. They can improve much more but it is a bit left. The room price is too expensive. They left us several hours without water, although they brought some bottles to the rooms. At $100 a night a room and I had to stay without a shower until the next day. It may not have been their fault, and there was a pipe burst in the street, but it's a hotel, it needs to have a backup tank. Poor WiFi, did not reach the room well. .

Right at the beach, great location. Even it’s small, it has everything, fridge, good AC, good wifi, body lotion, sofa, hangers. Secure parking.
Feel bit old, therefore hard to be sparkling clean. The stairs and a step made it but scary to go to bathroom in the evening. No window. No ventilation in the washroom.

The room and staff are nice and location is goog
It's a bit noisy through the walls and the outside smells a bit like garbage or sewer and there is constant bombardment of beach venders

Amazing location just 50 yards or so to the beach. Restaurant/bar was very good, with an all-day 2-for-1 happy hour on drinks. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Hotel ran out of water around 6pm our first night there and it wasn't restored until the following morning. They did bring us a large container of drinking water that we could also use for brushing teeth, etc but it still meant no showering after being on beach all day or flushing toilet. They did their best, but still a major inconvenience. Wifi also was down for the better part of our 2-night stay. Not the end of the world, but again, an inconvenience.

The location on the beach is perfect!
The rooms are nice, clean, air-conditioned and they are literally on the beach!!
The staff were great - make you feel at home from the very first moment.
Do not except a fancy - it is something else….
I came with no expectations for a fancy place but more for a friendly / family resort so there is nothing not to like about this place.
I liked it more than few other fancy places we stayed at in Costa Rica.

Amazing location - steps from the beach sand. Great seafood restaurant next door. Everything is very close by. Comfortable room and did I mention the beach right in front?
Scarry stairs to go to the bathroom at night.

the overpriced lobster that didn’t taste that good .

This place was interesting but I truly enjoyed it! Didn’t seem to be a traditional hotel, but I loved being able to stay right on the beach for a fair price. The rooms were great and extremely clean. Bathroom was very large, there was an outdoor shower and place to wash your feet, and all rooms were literally right on the beach. They also have a private area for people to lay out on beach chairs and hammocks. And free parking - can’t beat that!

It had a great location, right on the beach and near many restaurants / stores. They offered massage services on the beach for $35
I had a pretty bad experience here. They checked me in for my 1 night stay to a room without wi-fi. I had to ask for a new room and move all my things. Also when I checked in, they copied down my credit card information, and when I pointed out how risky that is, how my financial payment info can be stolen, I was dismissed and they just said I should trust them. But if they don't trust me to the point that they have to permanently record my credit card info on a piece of paper, even after I already paid for the room, why should I trust them that they have great privacy protections. It was literally just sitting on the check in desk, which was often not attended to and many people walk by.
The guy when I checked in assured me that after I checked out, they would give me the piece of paper back. So when I checked out, I asked for it, but the women at the desk refused to give it back to me, and argued with me for about 5 minutes about it, saying she needs to keep it in case I go home and dispute that I stayed here. This is of course ridiculous, since they had a copy of my passport and also I booked through booking.com -- a third party -- so there's really no question i stayed there.
All this, and the bed was very uncomfortable, and the sheets / pillow cases were like sandpaper. Must have been 20 years old.
For ~$100 a night, this place is a very bad value. It's not a very nice place. Maybe in the $40-$50 range would be reasonable.

Beachfront is a plus. If you like massages in a natural environment outdoors, it’s available. Really like the fire show in the early evening.
Lighting from the beach to the rooms at night is very dim and not well lit. Be aware of tree roots growing above ground because they are trip hazards.
