Unglaublich schöne Anlage., Villen mit Reedtdächern wie auf Sylt nur zusätzlich noch mit Palmen und einem an Venedig erinnernden Kanal umgeben. Wir kommen viel herum, haben aber kaum mal schöner gewohnt. Echt Traumhaft ! (Es sieht auch in Natur genauso aus wie auf den offiziellen Fotos) Zusätzlich erfüllen die Gastgeber Pam, Rob (und Rosie the Dog) jeden Wunsch. Also unbedingt empfehlenswert, auch wegen St Francis Lighthouse wo Abends die Sonnenuntergänge verzaubern. Pfichtdestination auf jeder Garden Route Reise.

Breakfast was scrumptious and there were good breakfast options available. With all the countrywide loadshedding - it was great to have a gas gyser and there was an inverter for the lamp in our room. To help - a printed loadshedding schedule on arrival as I misunderstood the verbal loadshedding timetable given.

Our stay on Friday night was great. Breakfast the next morning was good & all staff very friendly. On the Saturday evening, when we arrived back at the establishment - we got to our room only to discover what looked like black specs of dust on our bed (bedding was white), on closer inspection - we discovered that this was not in fact dust but rather bugs, mites & white/orange worms that had fallen from the thatch. I can only assume that the thatch upkeep/cleanliness is lacking/the thatch is too old & is creating a breeding ground for the above mentioned. I reported this straight to the manageress (with a photo & video of the bugs/worms - to show they were still alive) & got no reply from her that evening - I eventually got a reply from her at 6pm on the Sunday evening (18 hours after all of this had happened) - to say that my message had been forwarded to the owner. I also started with a bit of what we thought was sinus earlier that day, only to discover I was having a reaction to these bugs/whatever else was in the air from the thatch. We then packed up & left as you could not sleep in these conditions. It is now Thursday - 4 days after this took place & we have still not heard from the owners themselves - no apology/no refund - absolutely nothing. Extremely disappointed with this experience & not what one would expect from a four star establishment.

Neat and convenient, and good value once it was on special. Its all very modern and fancy. The breakfast was good, though it was very strange to have it only at a very specific specified time "breakfast is at 9am". In other places we have always been asked when we wanted breakfast or there has been a time range.

The room had not been fully cleaned before we arrived - still debris from previous visitor. We would not expect this in a fancy place. There was a lot of noise from building next door for both days. The connecting room had a very thin door, and even though the people next door were not very noisy, you could hear conversations and the tv. It certainly does not feel private. At least for the family room that we were in.

The host was very friendly and extremely helpful with our dinner arrangements. The breakfast was very good and the accommodation lovely and comfortable.

I loved everything about the place especially the hosts Rob and Pam, they made my stay an extremely comfortable one and I will make sure to go back.

Location was superb and breakfast very good. The rooms are right on the canal and have beautiful views out.

The room was not as clean as it could have been, there was a lot of hair in the carpet. We booked early and ended up paying more then three times the price that the rooms were being sold for closer to our stay. We were offered a reduction in cost but this never materialised.

Awesome location, our hosts were extremely welcoming and made us feel really comfortable and at home. This is definitely one we would love to visit again.

Power cuts were a bit of a dampener but other than everything else was perfect.
