Красивый вид с окна и со двора. Удобная кровать, но не 2м длиной как в описании. Нормальный завтрак. Недалеко супермаркет. От основной дороги шли пешком, отель предлагает встретить на тук туке, помогают с багажом.
Дорога к отелю грунтовая, с камнями, на легковой машине не доехать. Желательно обновить сантехнику в ванной комнате, все исправно, но сильно устарело.

Shirin1892 is a lovely homestay surrounded by idyllic mountains and tea plantations. It's located about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Nuwara Eliya and 10 minute walk to Gregory Lake. The host, Asela is so friendly, helpful and accomodating and told us lots of stories and history about Nuwara Eliya and his family home. Our room was very big and comfortable and we had thick blankets for the colder nights. The home was like stepping back in time and it was so interesting to see the contrast of architecture, decor etc to homes in the rest of Sri Lanka. Thanks again to Asela and his family for a wonderful stay 🙏🏼

Очень милые хозяева, с порога чувствуешь себя желанным гостем. Угощают чаем с молоком и кофе в уютной общей гостиной с камином. Дали рекомендации, что можно посетить в городе и окрестностях. Замечательный фамильный особняк с особой атмосферой и своей историей, с красивыми старинными предметами и мебелью. Своего рода дом-музей. Именно такой и искала для остановки в Элле. Просторный светлый номер с камином, удобная кровать, есть теплые одеяла, но в номере было тепло, поэтому они не пригодились. Все очень чисто и ухоженно. Можно взять утюг. Чудесное расположение недалеко от центра и озера, но в тоже время в тихом спокойном месте. Утром удобно прогуляться к Single tree hill view point. Рядом так же находится Pizza Hut, где можно перекусить достаточно вкусной пиццей и большой супермаркет. С удовольствием вернулась бы снова.
PS дети хозяев дома очень любят наши шоколадки Аленка, можете прихватить с собой в качестве гостинца из России

We'd like to thank our host so much! A very friendly family, who have lived in this house for generations, they will tell you the story of the building, serve wonderful breakfast and help with the transfer if needed. The house is super beautiful and clean, the bed is the most comfortable bed during the whole our journey around Sri Lanka :) Warm blankets, spotless sheets and towels, quiet and peacefull place not far from the city center.

EXTREMELY nice host with huge knowledge on tea, Sri lankan business and social, eager to share it. Beautiful authentic colonial house with spirit :) I had the best breakfast in my whole stay on the island.

De eigenaar is ontzettend aardig en kwam ons van het station halen. Hij is enorm gastvrij en helpt je overal bij. Staat zelfs ‘s morgens om 5 uur klaar om ontbijt mee te geven voor in the Hortans Plain. De ligging en locatie is goed, net buiten de drukte maar zeker op loopafstand van het centrum.
Ondanks dat het huis de oude stijl heeft behouden, vonden wij het te gedateerd, en daardoor niet altijd even hygiënisch. Ik ben 1,86m en dan is het bed te klein.

Friendly host. Free pickup and drop off at the train station. Really comfy beds and even though it was cold we weren't cold during the night because of the comfy blankets.
We also did a visit at a tea factory and we got so many good informations on the way.

Host was very knowledgable. He helped organise us waterfall and tea factory visit. He speaks good english.
His recommendation for high tea was great. We also walked to Victoria park.

Our stay at SHERIN 1892 was like stepping into a colonial-style time capsule. The hotel's design made us feel like we were sleeping in a living museum, surrounded by history. We only stayed the for one night, nonetheless the guest house was one of our favourite places in Sri Lanka.
After request our host picked us up from the train station as a free service and welcomed us with a pot a tea. The living room is very cozy and the atmosphere is just great. Our host also told us about the history of the house, his family life and the area. You can ask him anything, he knows a lot and has a very good humour :)
We were lucky and we got the family room with two double beds also we were just two, that was very nice. It’s not luxury or new, it’s basic but everything was working and, it was clean, that’s all we needed.

The host is an incredibly kind man, who goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your stay. He picked us up from the train station and helped us arrange rides to where we needed to go. He was very knowledgeable about the area and clearly proud of his hometown. Their heritage home was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and overall it was a very pleasant stay! It was within walking distance of town, yet quiet and comfortable.

The host Asela was very friendly and accommodating to our requests. The bungalow was super comfy and spacious and we felt like we could relax just like at home. Definitely going to visit again soon!

Beautiful house and garden, very friendly owner who is always up for a nice chat. He even picked us up and dropped us at the station Nanu Oya (free service/included). Excellent location to walk up Single Tree Hill, supermarket 2min away.
Rooms are big and comfortable, also clean - except for the bathroom.
Local breakfast was freshly prepared at a time of our choice. It was very good and also much.
Bathroom was not as clean as we hoped it to be. However, it could have also just looked as if it was dirty because it is old. So the stains might not go away anymore.. It was ok and I would also come here again!

We liked the location and interior of the house, there is a Keels supermarket and Pizza Hut nearby.

Hosts are very friendly and helpfull people. The rooms are like in the discription, old and not realy comfortable but you go there for the atmosphere.
The owners friend is a licensed nature guide and is well connected im the area, so if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask for help.
During rainy days it might get a bit humid in the house, but that comes natural if you want to have the feeling of a colonial homestay.

the owner was so freindly and informative. his wife do lovely and the breakfast was perfect. the house is set in a perfect quiet location in between the lovely town and the lake and opposite the old racecourse. the owner even organised a great trip for us to Kandy with his freind at a very good price.
