Place was good for our group of 6 seniors. The only concern we have is the water pressure of the place esp ecially the kitchen faucet. It takes forever to wash the dishes. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. I can come back with my family but we are 16 so the place would be too small for sleeping arrangement unless we bring inflatable mattresses.

This was a roomy cottage with many amenities including internet. It was a great place for family to gather and enjoy the outdoors.

Great location, great host, great everything! Host left a complementary bottle of wine for us. Had a binder with clear instructions on how to operate the fireplace and other items, etc. Highly recommend.

Great location and spot. Nice set up with different siting rooms.

Spacious accommodations, suitable for large groups. Disappointed with cleanliness (kitchen floor had not been cleaned, pullout sofa had not been vacuumed, dirt under the seating cushions ,fridge had not been wiped out from previous tenants, gnats/fruit flies flying around kitchen sink and countertops which we were unable to get rid of. Location of cottage is in very close proximity to railroad tracks and crossing which was noisy during the night time hours with train whistles and bells.

This cottage was ideal ! Enough space, 2 TV s, to keep
cartoon kids and adults separated by room door barriers.
Fun was had by all !!! Beach access also made it a true treasure.

Even though owner was aware that I had a handicapped son, he did not make me aware of multiple levels and no railings

This property was a wonderful surprise for all of us. Swimming was great for all. Cottage was very well equipped. The split levels made it nice to enjoy the spacious areas as plenty of room. Fire pit was great for the evening. I loved the tranquility and I couldn't wait to book for next summer.

Have rented this cottage twice now and have not been disappointed. Have small grandkids and this spot is very close to a beach area with shallow water.
Cottage is neat and has alot of amenities included.

Lots of little towns to visit. Walking distance to park and public beach - could see the kids playing while sitting in the deck.

The entire cottage is well equipped. The town of Bala is not far away. You can see the beach from the cottage deck (minus the community parks' washrooms). Water is shallow for young children. Plenty of chairs around the fire pit. Overall a great week. The only caution I can offer is that it's very close to a train track with about 15 trains daily starting at 5:00 am until about 1:00 am. But.. There were fans provided so if you close the windows and the fan is on, you won't hear them at night.

Great cottage and fantastic location. The lake, beach, park, general store and a restaurant all within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed.

Great location for cranberry fest. Would have been nice to know its really close to a railway track. It didnt bother us but it was a suprise.

Excellent property for large or small groups! Very central to many paths and nature areas as well as great small towns. The property itself is next to a lovely little public beach that has a park for kids and a nice stretch of sandy beach. The cottage has three separate bedrooms that make it easy to have several people without being on top of each other. The kitchen made it easy to bring in our own food, as well as buy local foods and prepare them. There are two living rooms each with a tv and many comfortable sitting spots. Outside the fire pit makes for a fun experience for the entire family, and the deck has a bbq that is great for use (didn't personally use). There was some noise as nearby there is a track crossing with semi-frequent trains, though this was of minimal disruption. Wonderful property!

Me and my partner stayed at Alan's place. We loved the view of the lake and the location. It was a bit cool and wet this time of year but we we're happy that the gas fireplace made the living room warm and cozy. The only setback we had was the train came through was pretty loud in the middle of the night. I also had to run into town to fetch some sugar for our coffee in the morning as there was no sugar left in the kitchen.

Alan was a wonderful host. His property is well situated and very close to the public beach and dock. The kids really enjoyed swimming in the shallow waters and catching panfish off the dock. The causeway located just down the road is great for fishing too. The kayaks provided were perfect for a morning family paddle. His Bell satellite tv was perfect for watching the Olympics. What a wonderful vacation!

By the end of the first evening, everyone was already discussing a return trip and longer stay for next summer. The cottage was beautiful, very spacious, and felt like home away from home. We were steps away from the lake, which provided calm and peaceful mornings by the water. We are very grateful and appreciative for the hospitality shown by our hosts. We highly recommend staying here ❤

The cottage was clean and Alan was great in answering our questions , just a short distance from Gravenhurst and the leaves were just turning colour . The cottage was roomy and comfortable. A very pleasant stay.

Beautiful home, has everything you need and more! Stayed at Alan's home for 2 short nights, we really enjoyed our stay, the cottage is breathtaking, right on the water. It was really nice going up there to so some team building would definately rent it again, next time we will stay much long as 2 day was not enough time! Thanks again Alan

This property is roomy, very well equipped, and only a few minutes walk from the lake. We particularly enjoyed kayaking on the lake (very scenic and calm), lounging on the deck, and a pit fire at night. The host, Alan, was very responsive and informative.
