Tastefully decorated loverly old house, reception staff were very friendly and could advise us places to eat. Their recommendation turned out to be great. The beds were comfortable. The staff (Gloria) went out of her way to pick up our luggage outside of the historical town to bring it in. She helped to book the passes to allow us into Tongli. When we informed her that the room was cold, she brought up good heater to help warm the room. The location of the hotel is central in the old town, easy to walk every where.

There is a smell from the bathroom, possibly due to faulty backflow but the bathroom is very clean and everything works. A bit cold despite the heaters in the rooms.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Walls and doors seemed a bit thin and I could hear noise sometimes from the hallway, but this is a very old hotel, so this was understandable and not a big issue.

The place is cozy, great location. The host is very friendly and helpful, and provided us with many great travel tips. Highly recommended.
