A very comfortable small period property in a brilliant central location. The staff were exceptional and really friendly.

There was some noise from the bar next door but was fine with some earplugs (room 8)

Great central location in Chiado close to Metro, restaurants, shops and places of interest. The service from Andreia was excellent ensuring both our room and our stay met our expectations - thank you. We enjoyed the breakfasts provided.

The property lacked informal communal relaxation space but this was a minor glitch and the welcome we received on the evening of our arrival was perfunctory.

The property lacked public spaces outside of the room that guests could lounge in, particularly if it was a rainy back that kept you from walking around outside of the hotel.

the hotel has such a nice vibe. very sereen and lovely. the room looked just as on the pictures. the staff is the sweetest and really go beyond to make the holiday of their guest as comfortable as possible.

I can’t think of anything

Everything about this stay was excellent. our flight from the US was canceled, and then our second flight was delayed and they were totally accommodating. We were greeted with a glass of port wine, and every member of the staff was completely gracious and available for our every need. The breakfast was among the very best we have ever experienced in our European travels. Great variety and quality on every count. if we return to Lisbon anytime soon, we will undoubtedly stay here again.

The room was very small. We booked and were promised a twin room but upon arrival found it to be a double room. After being asked to wait again for the bed configuration to change, we came back to a room with a double bed again.

Continental breakfast which was fresh and good value for money. Room was very clean and quiet. Location was excellent, in the city centre and able to walk to everywhere. Staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful.

Despite having a balcony and french doors, you couldnt really use this space as there was no view from our room as it overlooked an enclosed courtyard. Not a lot of natural light in the room and therefore was quite dark.

First of all, mostly kind and helpful staff I've ever seen, I would like to thank Gabriel and Mariana for their assistance and suggestions. Hotel is 200 years old building, very sophisticated decorated and located in the heart of the city. Rooms are extra comfortable and quiet, bathroom is large. Breakfast, served with different choices everyday, is extra fresh and awesome.

don't book the airport shuttle on Booking.com. They charge more than a cab and the process at the airport is a mess. It's much easier to get on the cab line, which may be long, but it moves faster.

The staff, all of them, were so professional... friendly, welcoming and made you feel as if you were a guest in their home.

The location was great, it's in the heart of Old Lisbon city. The design interior is beautiful, it's like an museum. The staff was polite and helpful. The bed was comfortable.

The breakfast was ok, but it was almost the same each day. During check-in they asked our card details, including CVV and expiration date, for security reasons they said - in case we broke or use something from the mini-bar; which is illegal I must say, you cannot ask such details. I recommended them to change the policy to ask for 50 EUR cash during check-in and return them during check-out, hope they will implement it. I bit pricey.

Our aircon wasn’t working and our one receptionist / concierge insisted he could feel it working … our rooms got very stuffy at night as the windows have to be closed due to street noise so a bit uncomfy in that sense. Everything else was great

location was perfect. accommodation was pretty. service was phenomenal.

little improvement will be the keys. bringing 2 keys and a really heavy key holder wasn’t exactly cool. I think it’s time they invest in electronic locks so we could just bring key cards with us. the real keys with the heavy key holder were too old school and not in a good way.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was checked each day and tidied / bed made. Tea / coffee making Facilities in the room too. Bed very comfortable. We had early morning flight back and because we wouldn't be at hotel for breakfast on day of check out, we were left sandwiches orange juice, milk to have. Also, location very quiet, ideal place for couples

I asked for a quiet room but we were placed next to the breakfast room so it was a little bit noisier quite early than i would have liked.

the location is excellent . very central and at the hearth of the most live prt of Lisbon. cosy and quite (only few rooms). the palace was also fantastic and the room very large
