The room was excellent and the hotel was extra chill
More diversity in the restaurant is needed

The location is beautiful. The view of the beach and the easy access was a gem. Beautiful, clean kept rooms and property!

Overlooking a beautiful beach - fell asleep with the waves in my ears and soul!
Miscommunication from the start - no extra bed for my daughter, door was not locking, didn’t sleep the first night because of very loud music noise next door, often had to specifically ask for items that were supposed to be included on the menu, and then finally there was a major miscommunication re an extra night I was charged for, which I understood was included in my overall package. But I was charged an extra large amount on top of an already high invoice for a place I don’t really think is worth the price tag! Sadly. The staff are so lovely that I feel bad complaining, but I was left with a bad taste…

Really beautiful place in the north of the island. super friendly staff (thank you Trida, Samuel, Tino, Selim and the rest of all!!). Excellent food (international/ european with Zanzibari spice). Nungwi is a beautiful place with a good mix between local tradition and tourism. perfect dive place too.

The quiet environment and the friendly staff
The food service was a bit slow.

The garden was really nice and specific staff members have been very welcoming and friendly
Some of the staff members were very inattentive and unfriendly and bored. Pretty unprofessional. We sometimes didn’t felt welcomed
The room was not cleaned well and it was smelling bad

The pool was lovely and the views of the ocean are amazing!
There were no small face towels in the rooms which is a bit odd. The area has terrible roads but that’s the whole of Nungwi so not much to do about that. it just makes the trips much longer than they need to be. the hotels should consider fixing even their own Avenue. the garden in the front needs more maintenance- it looks super rough.

quiet relaxing
lovely garden and direct beach access
room we choose was lovely but would have been enhanced with added AC and fridge for cold water

They were so nice. The hotel has a beautiful garden and pool, everything looks really good. We stayed in one of the rooms on the first floor with a terrace / balcony and had air conditioning. The rooms were very comfortable. They make up the rooms every day and have put lovely flowers and towel figures on our bed for honeymoon. In the evening they also put down the mosquito net in the room and spray mosquito repellent.
You get more than enough towels!
The breakfast is standard zanzibari but enough and with a good service.
For our honeymoon they made a candlelight dinner and a maasai show under the stars, it was so beautiful, we were overwhelmed!
Really great!
That we had do leave.

We came here for our honeymoon and had a lovely time- it is a beautiful location, nice and quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Nungwi’s main town. At low tide you can access the beach here and walk to Nungwi. the staff were lovely and the room was wonderfully clean and fresh. Breakfast was made fresh and had a great variety. it’s about a 30 minute walk into town (or a taxi of about 10 minutes). The pool and beach facilities were great.
The menus for lunch and dinner had no local food on which was very disappointing (the food was great but all pizzas / pasta / sandwiches). We were also asked to eat there one night as they’d prepare a nice table for our honeymoon- however we were just at a normal table (which was fine but we would have gone into town if we’d known for local view / better view of the sunset!) so that was a little disappointing

the staff are amazing! So friendly and helpful. the beach is lovely and the view is incredible. they were helpful arranging tours.
The menu was very basic and the food was dissatisfying. there are no phones in the rooms. Most annoying was the volume of the music in the evenings, the pool bar would play very loud music one night rap music! which you can hear the base thumping in your room. I didn’t expect that from a relaxing boutique hotel. Every evening from 6pm I could hear the music on my room until late. I ended up checking out early for that reason alone.

We loved the accommodation, it was on the ground floor but facing the pool and the sea and very refreshing. The beds were cutely done up with towel animals decorated with flowers and it was such a cute touch! The pool, restaurant area and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The staff is friendly and cooperative.
Maybe a shade or two on the beach? But since the tide comes in in the evening it probably isn't a good idea. Also, methods of conveyance to other parts of Zanzibar like cabs or shuttles would help.

very nice food for lunch and dinner, very nice workers.
better hotels cost the same price or even less, food takes a very long time to be ready.

Location and facility's are awesome, very friendly staff. Breakfast and food in general was fine.
whish they could include more local dishes for dinner or lunch.

staff were lovely
location very peaceful
you can walk the beach to the more populated/tourist section of the beach
food was pretty good & we enjoyed the tropical drinks for adults and teens
they could add more games or toys for the pool and sandy atea for families

The food was really good, unlike some other places in Nungwi.
Large grounds.
Comfortable and clean rooms, if a little dated.
Great staff - organised great trips and liaised with other tour guides on our behalf.
Quiet.
This part of Nungwi is out of the main area of Nungwi. It’s about a 30/40 minute walk along the beach or through the town to the main area with restaurants and bars.
This part of the beach isn’t the best - it can be quite rough and because it’s tidal there’s only a few windows of the day to swim. The beach totally disappears during high tide.

The Zanzibari is the most beautiful place we stayed during your vacation. It's paradise. The beach and the garden are amazing. Stuff is very nice and helpful. The kitchen and breakfast were great. Thank you.

The stuff was very nice and created happy atmosphere. The hotel was located in garden, it was fine. We appreciate the private, there weren't crowds of people. The food was delicious.
Everything was good.

Renovations were going on. However the hotel did inform us prior to works, and a solution provided. Lovely grounds. The food was amazing ..fresh lovely and tasty. Lovely view..I would definitely go here again. The dining area is expanded, can't wait to revisit once its done. Lovely walks to explore along the beach or the rugged roads .

The hotel is in reality even nicer than the pictures, it really feels like you enter paradise with a nice tropical garden, a great pool and the private beach. The staff is extremely friendly and made our stay unforgettable. Nice food in the hotel restaurant at fair prices, and a massage from heaven...
The hotel is located somewhat further from nungwi center, and with the tides it was not always easy to walk to nungwi. The road towards the hotel is in a very bad state and makes the trip to the centre longer then it should be.
A toilet next to the pool in the bar building would have made the accomodation perfect.

It was clean and the rooms and bathrooms were spacious.
At night the rooms were swamped by a billion bugs, ants everything. It was an adventure to kill the bugs in order to sleep after a long day. Really inconvenient and annoying to say the least. At the end of it my bathroom looked like a murder scene.

The staffs were exceptional and the room too was just amazing and clean not forgetting the beach view too
The breakfast needed more varieties options of foods for guests who stay three nights

Calm place with a nice view and friendly staff members. Espacially Sammi, who were a true star! But everyone were nice and helpful.
Internet worked poorly, and the shower at our room were almost unusable. Either zero water pressure, or boiling hot water. The beach at the hotel was just sharp cliffs, so it was difficult to enjoy the ocean.

excellent service, great views, friendly staff. peace and quiet at its best.

Great breakfast selection. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were big and with tons of natural light. Quietness in the whole area.
The beach was not existing due to the lack of sand, either was rough water during high tide or rocky bottom during low tide, which did not allow to swim.

the cleanliness of the rest room and the sheets are sooooo harsh

- Room : the bungalows 'Love Shake' is just wonderful, amazing view on the beach and room service is perfect. They offered special decorations for honeymooners

- Staff : Special thanks to Salim and all the team for their kindness and the incredible welcoming.
- Island Mood : everything inside is arranged to feel your self in private island. decorations in wood, sand and palms, amazing pool and different type of tropical hamacas
- Best Surprise : They arranged for us romantic honeymoon diner with local music and massai dance (only pay diner rest is free)

The breakfast is a la carte and was delicious. Especially the waiter Samuel was always helpful and very attentive. The hotel itself is in a quieter area of Nungwi, this means you have to walk a little bit if you want to get to the center but you also don’t have the big tourist masses around you. The relaxing area is arranged in a lovely way. If you want to go swimming you should wear swim shoes as there are a lot of sea urchins (as everywhere in Nungwi).
The restaurant doesn’t really offer sea food or fish for lunch or dinner. There is shrimp or sea food pasta / pizza but we would really like to see something like a catch of the day on the menu.
