The staff were super friendly and accommodating, gave us a better room than what we've booked for, towels included and free coffee and fruits available

The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is very good equipped and the staff is very nice and helpful. We had some good evenings at the rooftop terrace. The owner helped me to figure out a specific bus connection.

There was no 'hot' water, but it was also not too cold, so no problem ;)

The young man and woman who manage the hostal were excellent.

The noise level is unbelievable. A movie house nearby begins broadcasting incredibly loud noise in the afternoon and it lasts into the night. The walls in the bathroom shake.

Staff tried to be friendly

Hot water only lasts for a minute or so (I didnt have when I took a shower though :( ) Wifi was bad, they installed a new one, but even that was disconnecting every now and then Booked a double room, got a dorm with bunkbeds (arrived "late" at night and had early morning hike, so didnt wanna try to find something new) So single and double rooms are actually dorms. Booked with another hostal for similar price and double bed room as promised.

really close to a cinema so you can hear the movies really loud, bed not comfortable, they ask money for keeping luggage (I asked them to keep it 4 hours)

Cool, funky hostel, great common space on the terrace. Complete with white rabbit hopping around.

This hostal has a shared kitchen where you can prepare meals. Owner often provides fruit for breakfast. There is nice porch on the rood with great views of Otavalo and surrounding mountains. Rooms are nice with some variety to fit your budget. Staff will happily arrange transportation to or from the airport. The location is great with a very short walk to Plaza de Ponchos or the main square. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I will return again.

I have no complaints about this property. The staff keeps the hostal very clean. Knowing some spanish will improve your visit. Watch sunsets and sunrises from the roof.

The rooftop view is great! Kitchen is nice and they provide fruit in the morning for guests. Just a short walk to Plaza de Ponchos or the main square.

I have no complaints. This is my third visit to the Flying Donkey.

Great location, comfortable bed and cozy room decor. Highly recommend this hostal for a one night stay or a week!
