Service at reception , bar and kitchen was good. The gentleman was prompt to respond to our issue

The room booked in was initially had a damp smell and wasn’t fresh. Expectation was room should have been checked prior checking in. Later on, due to the storms the room was flooded with water. Based on the musty and dampness when we walked in, it’s not the first time this happened. We were moved to a family room. Room was fresh and clean. We were not happy with the old tiny shower head. Was was trickling. Not sure is there is a low pressure issue in the area. For a lodge there should be decent shower heads and enough water pressure. After a long drive and being shifted in the middle of the night the least you expect is to have a decent shower.

I enjoyed my stay, felt good to be in touch with nature. I had a small problem with my door lock. I contacted reception and within 5 minutes in the pouring rain, the maintenance guy was there to sort the issue out. Was so impressed. With regards to the cleanliness of the room, not very impressed, there was a used water bottle under the bed. The wash basin in the bathroom was unclean. but overall, the room was clean. The main desk staff was amazing, smiley faces all round. Was given a very warm welcome. The gardens were spectacular, so well maintained. I will definitely be staying at this property again. Maybe next time will bring the whole family.

Steep walkways with brick, lots of trees causing moss make for a hazard concern if you fall could be a concern for the lodge to think about otherwise a great place

The friendly person at reception who was available 24-hrs. Generator during load shedding.

No lamps on lower level of family unit, no waste bin in the bathroom, very noisey plumbing, no obvious/accessible plug points near the bed to charge devices, road-noise from the N3 did not make our sleep restful.

The facility was good, the bushes and surrounding area were nice, room was cleaned everyday. There is a TV with dstv and wifi, however, the wifi connection isn't great from the room.

The manager/owner wasn't too in tune with her customers and didn't know how long we were there for. The restaurant is basic and food prices were very high and food wasnt worth the price you pay. It would be better to buy takeaway and would work out cheaper. The fridge was very small and can only hold a little bit of items.

Breakfast was lovely however would be great to be included in the price. The lodge itself is gorgeous and the surrounding area within the lodge is beautiful.

Very close to the highway and can hear the rumble of cars and trucks.
