A very thoughtful touch by the Management, is to serve breakfast from 05.00 to 10.00. Thank you. Hot water showers, an area in which to relax, books. Plenty of lockers (not broken). Sockets for each bed. Lots of help. 24/7 Reception i think. Adequate kitchen. tea and coffee free, 24/7. I had a problem with my bank and my mobile wasn’t working, so the hostel kindly let me have the bank call me on its phone.

As with most hostels, some curtaining round each bed would be good, and a light over each bunk bed. More hooks in the showers. All in all, a great hostel. Thanks

The part of SJO is not the best but it's close to the bus station which was the whole point of my stay :)

Super friendly staff and good amenities - coffee/tea and free breakfast. The warm shower was also a bonus! Comfy mattresses.

Can be quite noisy so bring earplugs if this might bother you :)

only stayed for one night to go to the airport the next day, was easy to get an Uber from here. Clean accommodation and friendly staff. Breakfast was also included.

One of the nicest hostels I've stayed in. It was very clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. They provide a decent breakfast.

There were very loud parties nearby all night, but it was a holiday so that might be unusual

It was easy to find, the staff were exceptional and the other guests were kind and inclusive.

There are small lockers for a bag under 25L but no locked storage for a larger bag or a suitcase. The doors to the dorms are always unlocked.

Absolut lovely staff! Only 5 min from bus terminal, clean, nice, hot shower, common area, free breakfast. I would stay there again.

Everything was great, it is very clean, atmosphere is pleasant, breakfast is delicious. Beds are comfortable and city center is about 20 minutes walking distance

Since most people only ever stay for one night in San Jose this is a good place for that! In general the employees were very friendly and nice! The wifi was very good as well and everything was very clean. The neighborhood is absolutely fine during the day in my opinion. I was travelling alone and I had absolutely no issues at all with walking around. However, at night it may not be super great and it may be worth just taking an Uber to your destination.

The receptionist tried to rip me of a couple of times with the water. I wanted to buy a bottle of water which is two dollars and I gave him 2000 colones and he just told me there is no change because that is basically 2 dollars. However, it isn't. That is almost three. I mean I am not trying to be petty but it sucks if you know you have been ripped off. Also the dorm I stayed in isn't just loud it is incredibly loud because you stay right next to a very busy road. If you close the window and have earplugs it's ok though.

I love how friendly the staff is. I got so much help and advice. Forever grateful. Feels like home. Even the other guests feel like family. Cats has been painted on almost every wall and tha paintings are great pieces of art. Amazing.

the manager was very friendly and helpful, he made everything easy. also the hostel was very clean an quiet at night. The bedding was comfortable. the breakfast was really good.
