Mara's apartment is amazing. We made a last minute decision to visit Assissi while in Italy, so it was a last minute booking. We were very fortunate to find Mara's apartment available for one night during school holidays. Mara greeted us warmly. The apartment is like brand new, sparkling clean, airy and modern with efficient air conditioning for cooling the summer heat, the window shutters made a big difference too. When the shutters are open, there is a wonderful view of the green hills. The large kitchen is well equipped and organised, Mara supplies more than enough for a continental breakfast, much appreciated. The lounge and bedroom have comfortable, quality furniture with a few personal homely touches. The shower is brilliant. There is a shady terrace and large garden for sitting out. Parking is very safe in the garden. We drove the short distance into Assissi and found a good multi storey car park close to the Basilica of St Frances. Be aware, Assissi is hilly but it is so beautiful. After sunset, it was nice to drive back to Mara's peaceful country apartment. I wish that we could have stayed there longer.
