Staff, location and cafe were fantastic.

The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, can’t condiment the staff or the room enough thought it was fantastic for the price. Highly recommend to anybody contemplating a stay here.

Jungle Villa is a hidden gem - I absolutely loved the place. It is super peaceful, tucked away in the jungle, tranquil atmosphere, you can't hear the busy mainroad or train but still close enough to walk to the beach and surf spot. Rooms are comfortable and offer enough space. The family who runs the place is super lovely and helpful, so is the staff there. Coffe and breakfast is amazing in the morning. I ended up staying there longer than I booked. Definitely would go back there again.

I would have liked hot water shower but as it was a much cheaper rate I understand why it didn't have it. Even though it poured with rain we had a good stay. A La Carte restaurant literally over the road as well, great vegetable curry ;)

Isuru and all the staff are amazing and super friendly. They make you feel like home :) The location is perfect for surfers and solo travellers.

Close to the beach, close to ahangama center and have meny restaurants close to. Nice people and also nice breakfast give, some different fruits for vegans options i get.

Came to this house through reviews on booking.com for a week. Stayed for 2.5 months! Also celebrating all together local holidays, birthdays etc. Isuru and Aruni made me feel at home from the 1st day I arrived. This incredible family is most open, generous, helpful & friendly Sri Lankans I know. They became my friends, local home and family on the island. Taught me sinhalese too. Gonna miss you guys! :) The location is perfect whether you want to surf on Kabalana beach or Marshmallow spot, party in TRAX, eat at A La Carte, go to the Ahangama city and nearby places, or chill among the papaya, banana, avocado, mango, coconut trees in your spare time (yes, all of them are on the territory). I lived in one room, then changed to another without any problem. All rooms are clean, have a mosquito net on the beds. Only cool water in the shower, at day time gets warmer (but to be honest, you don’t need hot water here). House has a washing machine so no need to use the laundry. Kitchen has several fridges you can use for your products. Also available for cooking. Property is secured and open for guests 24/7 no matter what time you come back home (but don’t be too loud at night ;)). There is a spacious parking space for your scooter. Really good deal for price/comfort situation. Would 100% recommend staying here to feel the local culture and get own life experience in Sri Lanka.

Lovely family that will make you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. The rooms are spacious and clean and a delicious breakfast is served in the morning. They even arranged to bring me to my next destination which I very much appreciated.

The bed was just a little bit uncomfortable as I could feel the springs so maybe it might be time to change the mattress. But for a short stay it is not a big deal.

The most lovely, accommodating people! Fresh fruit breakfast every morning, so close to the beach and fantastic air conditioning and fridge in the room. Also the owners are incredibly helpful and supply anything you need for the trip, transport, scooter hire, even activity organisation, all for an incredible price. I'm grateful for them for making my Sri Lanka visit better than I could have imagined. Jungle Villa and it’s owners made the trip!

Jungle Villa is located in a quiet area, far enough from the main road, so you don’t hear the street noise , but still very close to the beach. The hosts are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and our room was clean. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy the stay in Ahangama. We very much recommend Jungle Villa and would love to come back there!

Considering the price you pay, this is one of the best places I have ever stayed. I chose one of the smallest rooms, but it still had a fan and a perfectly functional mosquito net. Best of all was the host, Aruni, who was one of the nicest, most friendly humans I have ever met. The breakfast was also really amazing.

Sometimes the toilet kept making a noise after flushing. No big deal. And the only thing that was in any way wrong.

Loved the hospitality and Aruni (the host) is a gem of a person! The free breakfast was exceptional, and I was really made to feel at home. There's no way you won't fall in love with Mara their dog and the family's warmth, highly recommend this place for an authentic Sri Lankan experience. Definitely staying here again if I visit Ahangama again.

Jungle Villa is a simple, clean and quiet homestay. About a five minute walk to Kabbalana beach, but far enough from the noise of the main road and the train tracks. After a day of surfing or tanning you can watch Monkey families from a few meters away, listen to the birds, while Mara, the cutest Labrador puppy, is snoozing at your feet. What makes Jungle Villa really shine is the hospitality of the owners - Isuru and his wife Aruni are the kindest hosts I ever had and make you feel you are part of the family, and help you out in any way possible. Highly recommened. Good breakfast with a huge fruit plate. Nearby „a la carte restaurant“ is a two minutes away and serves tasty dishes.

We had a great stay and booked another week The host and his family are very kind people Very comfortable rooms for a low price The location is a bit further from the mail road and the beach , but with a scooter it is very manageable, a big pro about this is that te surrounding area is very quiet, not like many other places in Ahangama

we really enjoyed our stay in jungle villa! its very green and quiet, far from the main road but still only a 5 minute walk to the beach where you can surf! Isuru and his wife are amazing and the best hosts you could ask for. great breakfast with lots of yummy fruits in the morning and last but not least a great 7 months old Labrador named Mara. Highly recommend it!

If you come to Ahangama you must stay at Isuru's. I had to stay only for 2 nights and I stayed for 1 week. I didnt want to leave anymore, Isuru and Aruni made me feel like a family member. My bedroom was lovely and clean, the breakfast delicious. I am so happy I met them, Iruru is the best hotel manager in the world ! I love you !

The host takes good care of you and is super friendly! The room came with a private bathroom, was clean and everything worked. The bed was comfortable, big and came with a mosquito net. You have the privacy but also if you feel like hanging out there's a spacious dining area. The breakfast was amazing with a bunch of fruits, toast and omelette.

We had a nice stay in the Jungle Villa, we felt really welcome. The room are basic but clean and comfortable, with mosquito net (can be useful !). Biggest fruit plate of Sri Lanka for breakfast !! Its quite calm, far from the main street which is definitely a bonus. The beach is 3mn away.

Can be a bit difficult to find, a sign could be useful in front of the café !

We were the lucky first guests to arrive since the pandemic started. We felt super welcome and the family was very friendly. Breakfast was amazing too. If you’re looking for a guesthouse in Ahangama that is a little secluded in the jungle, this is it.
