The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. You have a shared kitchen with filtered water which is really great! supermarkets and ATMs close by. In addition Alvaro knows a lot about Lima and can give you apart from his blog a lot of recommendations.

I stayed at Pochy's House for 8 nights and it was a great experience. From the initial communication with Álvaro, who helped me with tips and information, to late check-in with Afonso, the friendly staff at the property, Mrs. Pochy and the accommodations. It's a family home, very beautiful, spacious and cozy. The room facilities are simple but very comfortable with a nice view to the house's little garden. The location is very good and, although it's not in the heart of Miraflores, it's an area well served by transportation, restaurants, markets and very close to interesting places like Larcomar, Avenida José Larco, etc. The staff at the property was very nice, friendly and helpful. Mrs. Pochy was also very friendly and helpful, helping me with some documents I needed to print on a Sunday night and giving me all the support I needed when leaving for the airport.

You need to walk considerably to the nearest metro station. If you don't like or can't walk middle distances, it can be a problem. The bath items were difficult to use because they were not very good.
