Well appointed home, as the pictures describe. Lots of room to sprawl out on main/upper floor. Great front and rear decks and screened porch from which we saw ospreys hunt, herons stalk, and much other bird life. Comfortable beds.

Stunning property and views. Short walk to a nearly private beach. Easy drive to Milton, Lewes, or Rohoboth for dining and activities. Our toddler had an absolute blast and we can’t wait to come back again.

My family and I stayed at this great property at Broadkill Beach in the middle of March 2023. The pictures of the property are an accurate representation of this amazing home. Thank you Renee for your prompt communication and opening this property to us. The home is tastefully decorated and very inviting. More amenities to keep you entertained are provided. Great views from the Delaware bay in the front of the house to the nature preserve to the rear of the house. It’s like being in two places at one time. The private access to the beach in short walking distance was very convenient. We took advantage and had a great campfire on the beach underneath the sky full of stars. The community was quiet and slightly off the beaten path (which we appreciate). The fantastic decks provide relaxing views. I can’t say enough good points about this property. Most importantly, Renee’s property allowed for my wife and daughter to completely unwind and relax and that alone was worth the stay. Almost forgot, we were able to bring our fur baby with us keeping our pack intact. Thanks for being dog friendly. The only con I could think of would be the amount of stairs, which wasn’t a problem for us, but could be limiting to elderly or persons with mobility issues. But without the stairs, you wouldn’t be able to capitalize on the fantastic views. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again. It was a great stay. Thanks again Renee.

You won’t find a more charming place or host. The house has everything guests would want for their stay and if there’s anything needed Renee will make sure it’s taken care of for you. If you’re looking for a boardwalk and shops, it’s a few miles away. If you’re looking for peace and tranquility, a short walk to the beach, and the ability to relax, you’ve found the right place!

This rental house and location was food for the soul! The views from the house are indeed, beautiful, peaceful and made the vacation joyful. The host is amazing, responsive and her information was on point. She had some good referrals for restaurants and the house had all the amenities needed for a home away fro home feel. The home was wonderful! Comfortable, clean and well appointed! The location is amazing! The beach and the sunsets over the Wildlife Refuge were magical! A very special place!

This place is a perfect getaway. The host communicates very well and she even left a gift for the puppies! We will be back!

This is the third time we have stayed at this incredible property on beautiful Broadkill Beach, and we can't wait to go back! You can find other homes in the area that are situated on a private beach, others with access to the tidal waterway and a few with unobstructed views of the nature preserve. What makes this home so special is that it's the only one that we found on VRBO with ALL of these features combined into one property. Have the private beach all to yourself - just steps from the front door, fish from your own dock on the tidal waterway out back (even has a cleaning station with running water & crab pot!), watch bald eagles and other amazing views from the back deck overlooking the vast Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge! In addition, it's only minutes from historic Lewes, DE, Rehoboth Beach, shopping, and a wide array of restaurants and unlimited fun activities. Renee is an incredibly accommodating host, completely committed to ensuring an amazing experience, and the home is spacious with modern conveniences. Our entire family absolutely LOVES this property and can't wait to go back!

This was a lovely spot to unwind, enjoy all the beach has to offer without the crowds.The first week weather was not stellar (2 full days of rain). The saving grace was the delightful screened porch overlooking the preserve. Actually all the pieces were great… if you didn’t care for the weather on the preserve side of the house, there is the breezy beach side! The top most level has a beautiful living area with views of both the preserve and the bay… the kitchen area is newly remodeled and gorgeous. The bedroom level has a delightful kids bunk room and two other bedrooms… one has a slider onto the screened porch, the other is a lovely “ suite “ with beautiful paneling and a vaulted ceiling… a quiet “adult” space away from the kiddos. The home is beautifully appointed, the furniture lovely. Oh, and there are a ton of toys and games for the kids and a cool “shuffle board” game for all! The host was quick to respond to questions and issues and very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this residence!

Second stay at this property and it was super relaxing. Got some great photos of lightening out at sea. Great photos of the wildlife. Fishing was great. Our animals loved it too (parakeet, and two dogs). Last time we went was in the Fall, so our first visit during the summer. Both times of the year are great. Thanks so much for having us.

This home is simply amazing. It has everything from unbelievable views to private access to the beach. We caught our dinner the first night out back then enjoy amazing sunsets at the beach the rest of the week. This location is so quiet and relaxing. 5 stars.

We have been coming to Broadkill for many years and this house was perfect! It was so peaceful and loves having the canal in the back to bird watch and a perfect view of the ocean! House is well equipped, up-to-date. The kitchen has good quality appliances that make it a pleasure to cook in. You feel right at home!

We had a fantastic week at Broadkill Beach. The panoramic views of the Delaware Bay and Prime Hook Nature Reserve are breathtaking. The home has everything you want for a beach trip -- chairs, umbrellas, bikes, etc. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.

We very much enjoyed our stay here and we all were completely mesmerized by the beauty of the marsh and the views of the bay. The quietness of the area and the peace found in every spot in this beautiful home was amazing. The house was impeccably clean, the host, Renee was great with communication and we found everything we needed for a great visit in the property. Terrific week! The only con for us was the black flies on the bay beach...which really made it hard to enjoy our plans to just beach there all week. We ended up driving into Cape Henelopen a few days which wasn't as enjoyable since there is a lot of traffic this time of year. Can't be helped and the bay beach was awesome when the wind was blowing there right direction. So beautiful and quiet!

This is the perfect place for families who just want to relax and take it easy. The beach was steps away , the views were breathtaking and the house was perfect, the space was clean, spacious and met all our needs for our family of 9 (10 if you count the puppy ) ;) The house/location has everything you can ask for a wonderful vacation. My family and dog had a amazing stay at this gorgeous house on broadkill. The house is absolutely gorgeous with high end finishings and details, and more importantly thoughtful and well planned. The owner was flexible and responsive and all the amenities were spot on. The views are outstanding (pics don’t even come close) and the beach is secluded and very dog friendly. The only “downside” was that there is no living space on rbe ground level. This could be a bit challenging for older adults and pets. Overall, the house and owner were great and we made awesome memories at the shore this year. Thank you Renee!

Loved the privacy as well as the nature. Not far from great restaurants, shopping outlets, and Rehoboth. The fishing was great (we visited in the off-season), and the beach was great. One of the coolest storms I’ve ever witnessed. Son and I got great photos of the skies, waves, marsh, birds, etc. Pet friendly so even our dogs got to swim and play on the beach.can’t wait to go back 🙂

My husband and I were married and blended our families in Rehoboth Beach in 2009 when our kids were just 9, 12, 12 and 14, and have loved spending several summers in Broadkill Beach since, staying in different homes, each with it's own memories over the years. We have had a 5 year lull in our stays, mostly due to the increased responsibilities on our growing kiddos, but we returned again this year sans kids (not because we didn't want them--more that they are all grown and working full time or finishing up college). Renee's home was the PERFECT location for our getaway, with amazing views, complete with decks on both the bay side and the wildlife reserve side. I can't sing enough praises about Broadkill Beach--it is the perfect combination of tranquil, and beautiful, yet close enough to plenty of shopping and Rehoboth as well as other Delaware and MD beaches. Personally, I am not a fan of big ocean waves so being on the Delaware Bay provides just enough waves and beach sounds, while also providing the unique ability to look out over an expanse of water that appears to go on forever...not to mention the incredible views of the Primehook Nature Reserve, and the most amazing sunsets I've seen in a long time. The house was beyond well-equipped, the kitchen having anything one could possibly need for whipping up some amazing meals. We loved having our morning coffee on the top deck with our dog each morning, waving to all the passersby, whether they be walking, jogging or riding bikes. Speaking of bikes, Renee's home has several beach cruiser bikes, for all ages and sizes. We enjoyed taking our 10 month old great dane puppy out for rides, which he had never experienced before, but absolutely loved! He also romped on the dog-friendly beach, meeting a few 'friends' of his own. It can be hard to find pet-friendly rentals which is understandable so we were thrilled when we found Renee's home. Ironically, the other thing that grabbed my attention initially was the shuffleboard table in the pictures! As I told Renee, shuffleboard is the one game that I can actually beat my husband at...well sometimes. We played several times--he beat me most of them but I still won a few. There is a ping pong table too! For those with little ones, the house is well equipped with toys, puzzles, terrific baby gates (which we utilized for the dog), and provides all the buckets and shovels any wee one needs for sand play. We are looking forward to our next stay!!

There wears literally not one single thing that was not provided for us when we arrived. We already have some friends looking to rent the same house.
