What a blessing this house and Dori and Gary were for me and my sisters! I had no idea what to expect, but any expectations I had were greatly exceeded. The house was beautiful, peaceful and cozy…just what we needed. The area was quiet and the beach was beautiful. We were thankful for our time together and that we didn’t have to worry about anything to do with the house…we walked in and were at home. We hope to go there again, even talked about making it an annual event. Thank you Dori and Gary, for sharing your home with us.

Online description of house is spot-on. Neighborhood is quiet. Views of marsh are spectacular. Beach and swimming are within easy walking distance. One can walk for miles on either the beach or on Broadkill's roads.

This was our second year staying at the property and we loved it again. Broadkill is our happy place! It was the perfect getaway for our little family (2 kids 5 and under) and my parents. The home has been kept up well, and even had a few upgrades since last year that we enjoyed (new microwave, sliding barn door on the bathroom, new couches/covers). We appreciate the owners attention to detail! We'd love to return next year! :)

Comfortable, well appointed house in a quiet, secluded area. uncrowded beach on Delaware bay. Short drive to downtown lewes & Rehoboth. Host includes nice touches such as a candy jar on the kitchen counter and wine waiting for you.

Only downside was no sheets supplied

Loved the house and the beach access. Everything was clean and well kept. The mosquitoes were terrible, though…I don’t know if it’s a common occurrence or if we just got lucky??!! Easy rental and great communication. Thanks!

Enjoyed our stay in this nice beach property near a quiet beach.

We stayed here for nearly a week. It fit our family of 5 perfectly. Beach was a short walk away which worked wonderfully with the young kids as it allowed us to come and go from the beach quickly. The home is nestled in a quiet low key area but just a short drive to Rehoboth. I highly recommend if you are wanting a quiet getaway.

The property was great! It was a 5 minute walk to a very quiet beach - we saw dolphins twice the 4 days we were there. The house was big enough for 4 adults to have lots of room to spread out or eat together. I would absolutely return.

Oh my goodness!! This property has it all! Immaculately clean home, well-stocked kitchen, and thoughtful little touches everywhere that really made us feel special — as if we were part of their family and they invited us to stay as their valued guests. The beach is a short block away, and during our visit in late May we had it completely to ourselves most days!! We saw dolphins leap just 10ft away from us, the kids played in the sand, went shell-seeking, and even found live crabs and watched with glee as the little crabs darted in and out of their little burrows in the sand. It was THE perfect place to keep our family COVID-safe while we enjoyed our first vacation in almost ten years!! The well-stocked kitchen enabled us to prepare all our meals in house after receiving grocery deliveries directly to us there. We also found out how thoughtful our hosts were as they had provided pretty much everything a family would need to enjoy a beach vacation, including beach chairs, boogie boards and a cooler! We had such an amazing time that we booked another trip this year for twice as long! It already feels like pur home away from home, and we look forward to making more magical memories, courtesy of our amazing hosts Dori and Gary! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!

We had a wonderful time. The house is very clean and the rules were understandable and easy to follow. There were some nice little details, that made the stay more enjoyable. We cooked, almost every meal in the kitchen and it is was stocked well enough that, that was pretty easy to do. There are some nice bike rides close by as well as just going right out the front door. We had a wonderful time! This house is cute, clean and in the perfect little spot at the end of the street. You are able to hear the water and also see over the marsh grass, which is so nice! We were surprised when we received communication there were no linens or towels or hand soap provided after we booked. It didn’t really effect our stay or our happiness, just would have been nice to know prior to booking. We were pleasantly surprised to find out hand soap and dish soap were indeed waiting for us at the home. Our toddler was also very comfortable, safe and happy here. We highly recommend this house if you are staying at Broadkill. It is clean and well-maintained with a 2-minute walk to the beach and beautiful view of the marsh. Broadkill is our favorite Delaware beach. It is quiet and friendly and seems a world away from the crowds of Rehoboth. It is a quick drive (or bike ride) to Prime Hook and an easy drive to Lewes and Cape Henlopen, at least in the off-season.

Clean accommodations for our brief stay. Did not like that such a large deposit was taken months before our arrival. The funds were not pending in my account until closer to our stay.

Loved the property! Beach is within walking distance. Area is away from hustle and bustle of crowds and noise. Perfect space for us to relax and reconnect with each other!

We had such a wonderful time at Gary & Dori's place. The home was spotless, spacious and comfortable and perfect for our family of five. It had everything we needed to enjoy cooking at home as well as the beach (chairs and boogie boards were super fun and the floaty they had ended up being clutch for our 10 year old who just broke her arm and couldn't get her cast wet).We LOVED being so close to the beach and Broadkill was a great fit for our family (waves weren't too big for our kiddos (ages 4, 8, 10) and the beach was never crowded. Thank you Gary & Dori! Highly Recommend!
