Place wasn’t that clean and was smelly like someone cooked something bad in the appartement. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Location was only good thing

Our recent stay at SURE HOME STAYS left much to be desired, and I must caution future guests to proceed with caution. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the experience would not live up to the advertised standards. We were given incomplete details about how to access the apartment and had to call their office at night to get access codes for the building. Upon our arrival, the WIFI, a crucial amenity that was advertised and was a deciding factor in my decision to rent the apartment as I was working remotely, was glitchy and by the next day not functional. Our attempts to address this issue with Alex were met with accusations of dishonesty and a lack of communication regarding the progress in resolving the matter. We had to take pictures from our devices and the tv so he could believe us. We were told a technician was coming and then there was no update. As international visitors, we were left scouring Winnipeg for places where we could access WIFI and looked professional since I had important meetings. We had to Uber back and forth for 4 days and spent money to buy food for ourselves so we could use these facilities. To summarize, 1. Our biggest disappointment with the stay was the unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour of the manager, Alex. He was rude, arrogant, and condescending. 2. Advertised WIFI was non-functional, and we were accused of lying about it. The company refused to reimburse us so we could find accommodation that could provide this service since I needed it for my work and also refused to move us to a different unit. 3. Advertised Netflix was not available. 4. The apartment was not cleaned for almost 5 days. The place smelled of garbage and stained and dirty couches and carpet. There was no cleaning service of any kind even to take out garbage. 5. Lack of communication about the WIFI issue and no updates on progress. 6. Advertised amenities did not work (oven). Dirty plates, cups, pans, filthy shower curtain, bedding unclean

Sketchy on the streets outside yet high security

Great location. Easy to get around by foot, and the bus stop was right in front of the building. There is paid parking in the area or you can get free parking depending on the time and day. If you had a car 24/7, you would have to pay for parking at certain times, get free parking at certain times, and also move your vehicle frequently because of parking rules. Clean place. Great for two people. Easy to get in and out of with the fob.

Supplies were limited. Only five coffee pods for two people for two days. My son did not drink coffee, so we didn't run out. Shampoo and body wash were available in the bathroom, but the containers were almost empty. We used our own. There was an oven, but it didn't work. We got caught with a frozen meal that we couldn't cook. Minor: the neighbours had a dog that barked constantly, and you could hear the barking through the wall. Nothing that this owner can change, but it is good to know for others staying here.

It is listed as 2 bedrooms. It’s one with a hide a bed but there was no bedding for the second. I asked about a quilt and didn’t get a response. WIFI was sporadic. It lacked cleanliness which I raised with the host. He basically didn’t believe me and wouldn’t refund any of the cleaning costs.
