Left a similar review on Vacasa, but in short this is a perfect location for a beach vacation! The view from the screened in porch is amazing and you can spend your days on the porch watching the ocean and then go out to the water at your leisure. The home is also located very close to shops, fish markets, and the other things to see in Holden Beach. Definitely recommend this location for your next vacation!

This property was beautifully located overlooking Holden Beach. The kitchen was well equipped, the screened in porch was amazing, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The only thing that was missing from this beach house were beach chairs and beach towels. We loved our visit to HB!

The pictures in the listing are very accurate. Cute, quaint cottage with amazing beach access. We took our dogs in the off season and they absolutely loved it. Great location for visiting the beauty and pristine that Holden Beach offers.

This was a nice little getaway for our 10 yr anniversary. There was were a couple still dirty dishes but other than that. It was corky cozy homie feeling. And to listen and watch the waves while have coffee was exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries…

Harley's Better Half was very nice place. We enjoyed the easy beach access and views from the porch. The house was comfortable and clean. Only drawback was loose nails sticking up on porch and walkway to beach. Also having to pay for parking almost everywhere on the island except for businesses.

Loved being able to have my dog at the beach! The home is modest but has all that you need (except a hairdryer, but not a big deal). The deck was lovely and warm even for December. What a perfect time to be there, hardly another soul!

I have been coming to HB for 50 years. Over that time the homes to rent have gon from cozy and welcoming to big/sterile/and not beach type housing that just don’t have that warm family atmosphere. Harley’s is so much like the homes we have rented over the years that just make you smile in the knotty pine living room, in the screened porch or on the deck that connects to the boardwalk that quickly drops you onto the beach. This cottage has a well stocked with any kitchen item needed to cook meals or snacks. The shower is very small and hard for a tall person to use BUT I highly recommend you use the shower downstairs next to the laundry room. It’s big, hot water in abundance, outside the house so you can steam up yourself and nothing else. Only issue is the decking. It has nails/screws coming up. They fixed most while we were there but still more need done. And, the planking is splintering so be sure to wear shoes while on it. A wonderful little historic cottage that we really enjoyed.

Arrived house was clean bed was very comfortable well stocked with dishes etc. Loved the screened in porch the view is beautiful. The left side bushes could use a trimming covers some of the view. The only other complaint we had was there on the right side of house there is a private right away to the beach which total 6 houses that have access from across the street. Which the bedroom is right beside walkway We were woke up every morning by 6am from fisherman across the street talking and dragging there gear across the boardwalk right away. So that was not so pleasant. But loved Holden Beach! Will return again

If your looking for 5 star fancy this is not for you. If you want 5 star original classic and cozy beach Cottage..... this is for you! Perfect Ocean front cottage with plenty of room! Kitchen has everything down to wine glasses and tea pitchers! Seriously it had it all. They even have laundry pods, dishwasher pods, paper towels /toilet paper and soap for your check in! That was a added bonus for sure Incase you forget it. The absolute only concern is the decking /walkway to the beach It is very old and very weathered as others have stated . It's Part of the classic old school beach property but it could use work for sure. We are booking for next year and plan to keep coming. Be sure to read history of the cottage on kitchen wall ! Lovely neighbor 2 doors down that lives there . She is always on the beach looking for goodies as she makes wreaths and stuff with them . What a lovely life !

The cottage is dated but that lends to the charm. The beach is right out the back deck. Both the back screened in deck and outside deck are gated. Perfect for the dogs to enjoy some sun and breeze. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back soon.

Being on the beach!

The cottage was very clean and comfortable and in a great location. The beach directly behind the house had tons of shells to look for. When we wanted a calmer beach we went to the east end of the island. We tried some good restaurants and ice cream shops, and had a blast at the water park. Everything in the house worked fine and was well supplied with linens. The porch area was pleasant for drinking coffee and sorting our shells. The outdoor shower was very convenient. My only complaint would be the age and condition of all the outdoor walkways and stairs. They seemed a little wobbly and unsafe if you aren’t careful.

This was a fun vacation for my husband, adult daughter, myself and our family pup Grace. The house is exactly as listed and we were very pleased with the accommodations. We were able to relax and slow down our pace for the week. The walk from the house to the beach was excellent and during the week of the 4th of July the beach was "busy" but not too busy to enjoy ourselves. Being from out of state, the restrictions on the beach were something we didn't know about until our 2nd day there. These restrictions are completely reasonable, but just know your furry family friend is restricted from the beach from 9am to 5pm. Also, everyone around us adhered to the noise restrictions and after 10pm it got nice and quiet. Such a great atmosphere! Upon check in we found the ice maker in the fridge was not working properly (it looked like a plastic bag got twisted up in it somehow?) and we called the rental agency and they were there in just a few hours to fix it. :-) We had to call again as the high winds of the week tore some screens loose and they were great to respond on those as well. The house was clean upon arrival. Be sure to check with the listing company as to what is available in the kitchen if you plan on cooking. They are really good if you call and ask ahead of time. I was able to bring a crock pot and a few other items to ensure lazy cooking for mom while we were playing on the beach. Washer/dryer worked great, loved the outdoor shower down below for sand removal. Our only "critical" review, the deck. The deck is older and there are screws sticking up everywhere. You can tell they have come in several times to tighten them down, but while we were there we got used to just wearing our sandals. Is this a big deal?, nope! The view is gorgeous, and sitting on the deck was amazing. Would we stay again, absolutely!

The views from the living room and porch were fantastic…especially since it was April and not always warm enough for the ocean breezes. We liked that there was an enclosed porch and also an uncovered porch if we wanted to enjoy direct sunlight. We also loved the large dining/kitchen table for game nights. The living room had a comfortable sofa, loveseat, and 3 swivel chairs so that the 5 of us had ample seating options. The house was clean and well-maintained for an older home. A great beach cottage for a small family!!!!

We really like the older beach cottages like this one. Heat worked great. So nice to be able to bring our dog. Very few people on the beach. It's a really clean, sandy beach.

What a great place for true beach atmosphere! Cosy little 1940s-50s beach cottage with a perfect view. There is the stuff that comes with renting an older house, such as a quirky stove and an old microwave, but you can't beat the price for the view! Perfect porch, absolutely fantastic trip.
