I attended a conference at Fort Lewis with a friend and two of my kiddoes. Last time we did that we stayed in the dorms which was rather uncomfortable. The condo was much more comfortable and was equally convenient. We would do it again!

Our experience was very positive. We loved the location, we loved the privacy, we loved the amenities. For the price point it was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Checkin and checkout was slick. Details outlined in their on line description for how the property worked were spot on. Loved the Sana and hot tub. This was the perfect place from my wife, three kids and I. Sleep cozy warm at night. We enjoyed some family meals at the dinning table. The kitchen is updated with beautiful appliances. We would come back to this place in the future.

This was supposed to be a “sleeps 6” and technically, it does. But the outdated water heater is only meant for two quick showers. On day one I reported to the owner that the dishwasher and toaster did not work and nothing was fixed while during our stay(arrived on a Sat & left on a Thurs). I suspect they have been broken for a while and that the owner just lets all guests think they’ll fix it after they leave.Mattresses & pillows need replacing.On the upside, the townhome was very clean & there were plenty of extra blankets.About 25-30 minute (beautiful) drive to Purgatory. Location was good for skiing purgatory every day.Parking situation was good.

Upstairs bed was wobbly and squeaky. Ad said nothing about stairs we had a physically challenged person with us. Stairs had screws sticking out.

Great! The condo was exactly as advertised. No issues with anything not working. A great place to stay- a short drive to downtown or if it was cooler a pleasant walk. There is no AC which was clearly stated before we rented. However, there is a sign on the fridge about not opening windows as it will mess up the AC. I think this is confusing to people as evidenced in the guest book. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pots/pans. We wished we had an ice cream scoop:-) The loft bathroom has a fan but I couldn't find the switch for it.

Overly Warm and Outdated
This condo was obviously built in the 80s. I lived through the 80s and I know that look when I see it. Most of the fixtures are of the worn gold look. Bedroom and closet doors also look to be the originals. The kitchen was updated which was nice. We were at this property during a heat wave, which obviously is more and more common now than when it was built. No AC with only a small window unit downstairs. The unit would shut off after about an hour of use. On the day it got to 95 degrees, there is just no contingent to cool down the place. The bed upstairs went unused because it never got down to a comfortable temperature. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms would go a long way in alleviating heat. On the plus side, both showers had good water pressure to take cold showers. The place was clean. A very early check out time.

We were very pleased with this townhouse. It was comfortable, clean and we enjoyed being across from the college. There are quite a few steps leading up to the unit and an additional flight up to the master bedroom loft. So word to the wise.

My family had an amazing getaway to Durango and stayed at the Treetop Retreat. There was plenty of room for everyone, very family friendly. The location of the condo is perfect for a quiet retreat, but also close enough to everything downtown. We hope to visit again soon!

Keep in mind if you visit during the warm months the condo has two window air conditioning units. If you need all of the space and plan to sleep in the loft it is warm to uncomfortably warm. Also note it is a 4 flight of stairs climb from the parking lot to the condo.
