Ramona is a front wheel drive van with a short wheel base so it is easy to drive and maneuver and can fit in a standard parking space. The van has 3 solar panels as well as the ability to charge off of the van's alternator so there is plenty of power to run the electric cooler, electric induction cooktop, Maxxair ventilation fan, hot water kettle, reading lights, and dimmable ceiling lights. There is a 2000 watt inverter for the AC outlets, and there are 12v USB charging ports throughout the van to keep all your gadgets charged while on your camping adventure. There is a 12v rechargeable vacuum, biodegradable dish soap, sponges, paper towel, and additional cleaning products stocked. There is a deep sink for washing dishes, as well as a high pressure hose in the back for rinsing off muddy boots or your furry friend! Ramona is equipped with a 13 gallon freshwater tank as well as a 7 gallon grey water tank mounted under the van that can be drained with the flip of a switch. There is no hot water heater, but the high pressure and hot water kettle makes doing dishes an easy chore. The van comes fully equipped with linens (sheets, pillows, down comforter, and optional Dog bed and dog blanket.) There are 2 stainless steel pans and a 2 quart sauce pan that works with the induction cooktop, plates, bowls, cups, and silverware. There is also a butane suitcase stove with one butane canister included, foldable table, and 2 tripod stools stored in the back for outdoor cooking while set up at camp. The van also comes equipped with a camp shovel and foldable camp toilet with bags. For chilly nights, there is a portable Mr. Buddy propane heater and one small Propane canister is included. If you wish for more heat you can purchase the green 1 lb propane canisters at any sporting good stores. Please do not leave the heater on while sleeping, the van is very insulated and retains the heat extremely well. For warm nights, the Maxxair fan has multiple settings to draw and blow air, and can be open while it is raining. There is a fire detector, carbon monoxide detector, gas/propane alarm, and fire extinguisher inside the van. The cooler is stored inside a bench that can be used as seating as well as a step to climb into bed. The passenger seat is also a swivel seat that can be turned and paired with a flip up table for an additional place to enjoy a meal or use as a work desk. There is plenty of storage in the overhead cabinets, as well as underneath the bed for all of your adventure gear and suitcases. Ramona is equipped with additional interior security latches to keep you, and your belongings safe while traveling through Alaska. This van is our winter home, and we drive it to Florida at the end of winter. Please treat Ramona gently and respect that she is NOT an off-road vehicle, it is only 2 wheel drive, and should not be driven on rough or muddy roads. Roads such as the Dalton Highway, Denali Highway, McCarthey Road, and Skilak Lake Road are prohibited because they are very rough on vehicles. This van is a high-roof and has room to stand and stretch while exploring Alaska’s paved highway system. Please, DO NOT put fish or ice inside the electric cooler, there is no drain port and the smell of fish is extremely difficult to remove. The computer programmed key is very difficult and expensive to replace, if a key is lost there will be a 300$ fee to replace it. The amount of the fee reflects the actual cost to replace the key with a Ram dealership.
