Reasonable hotel just lacked outdoor space by the water.

We stayed on the mainland so we could go to tours without the 90 min water taxi drive to & from San Pedro. The hotel is in need of A LOT of work!! The place needs drywall repair everywhere just to start. One plus,, the hotel was clean enough and no bed begs! They also served a Belizean complimentary breakfast. Not for me, but that was a plus. Front desk were nice people but the other staff were not overly friendly at all!!! Deshanty helped us get tours set up. She is very sweet but stilll learning. We set up tours with her snd Viator( on line) and both had very nice and informative guides. Tours were great!!! Met nice other vacationers! Vehicle's are sketchy. Glad we went to Belize just not sure we would go back. And not to that hotel

The front desk staff was fast efficient and most of welcoming. Cleaning staff was excellent. The room was nice with beautiful view of water . But the shower gave Luke warm water but overall it was a nice stay. Also would preferred a more variety for breakfast. Overall good stay.
5.0
Staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. Accommodations in room are a bit run down but clean and efficient. It was a great hotel to stay at. Had activities for older kids to do and let parents chill.

Clean rooms , great service, breakfast awesome...

Good location to the bars, casinos, restaurants, park. The building needs updating outside. Safe area.

Was a good hotel for it's price. Is an older property but clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The location is fine but the property is very dated Our first room was dingy-- furniture chipped and just dated. We upgraded to a suite which was so much nicer. Everything was painted nicely. The people are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was okay. The pool area needs more furniture
3.0
Hotel older in need of renovation but otherwise clean and staff friendly

This place is falling apart. Do not believe the pictures which are incredible deceiving. The pool is a joke, not maintained, the fitness equipment wouldn’t even turn on and the entire outside looks haunted.

Hotel is old and needs some remodeling. Overall good location for business and dinning.

A very tired old property. Certainly not up to Ramada's usual standard as we have come to know it.
Pool area horrible. Chairs in need or replacement.
Staff were good and did the best they could.
Rooms old. Never felt safe here.
Paint peeling, slippery floors. Generally just dirty feeling.

The hotel is fine. It’s just aged and has not been kept. It’s dated and a solid three star experience: not bad and not great.

I booked despite several bad reviews because it is under new management and I have reasonable expectations. My room was fine, i had hot water and everything worked. The bed was comfortable and i got a good night's sleep. The complimentary breakfast and the entertainment options were great. I would consider staying here again if in Belize City.

The first night there were some hiccups with the plumbing in the whole hotel and air condition conditioning in our room. But by the time we came back a few days later everything was great! Very good breakfast in the mornings !

Unfortunately It was not up to my standards. We booked 2 nights and ended up staying only the 1st one because we were too tired to leave right way. The bathroom was old, busted pipe on the shower spraying water everywhere during use. It smelled moldy and the water smells as well. Expedia advertises game room for the kids and the pool pictures, lol do not get fooled by it. There is no game room, its been closed for years they said. Although the staff was amazing ( the kitchen also did a good job at the restaurant), the hotel overall is poor maintained and taken care of. The pool area is a shame, dead insects, small bugs inside pool. No one swimming there. The pool bar is totally destroyed with boards and wires hanging everywhere. Lots of potential but poor management I guess. The have a convenient snack shop located inside the hotel and a taxi cia as well. So this area was not for us and will not stay again at this location
Islands are ok though. They ferry is about 5min drive from this hotel and they have some local vendors.

Hotel was old and worn down with bad lighting. Linens were late our room so we called down for them and they were brought up immediately (great service!!), but then at 8pm that evening a staff member trued to open our door without knocking first to deliver towels.

It was right on the water.

The hotel staff was great! However, the hotel itself is very rundown-our entry door did not have actual deadbolt/inside lock and had holes in the door-could look out! The pool was closed 2/3 day stay. Room looked nothing like what is in their portfolio online.

Our room was ok..just ok if you like flickering lights. Staff was great. One dining room was great. The rest is run down, rusty and just old. We booked this quickly as our flights home were cancelled. Won’t go again.

The hotel appears exceptionally run down and old except the lobby and restraunt area...to the point where it seems like they might be going out of business. Doesn't feel like a Ramada.

This property is DEFINTELY dated. My room had peeling paint on the walls, and the curtains had seen better days.
Pros‐ friendly, accommodating staff. Room was clean, had a nice view of the water. The Bar made great drinks. Restaurant food I ordered was pretty good, but I only ate the wings, nachos, and chicken fingers. There are 2 movie theaters in the bottom floor. There's a Casino on the bottom floor. The breakfast area was clean, and the lady manning it did a great job. The rooms had AC and fans that worked great. Fridgerator kept all my drinks nice and cold. I had no issues with the internet or WiFi
Cons- breakfast was pretty horrible, everyday it was hotdogs with either beans or eggs. I never ate there, but checked it out several mornings and it was hotdogs on all 6 days I checked. The elevator had a stagnant water smell. Coming from the parking garage into the hotel, you could smell raw sewage coming from under the building. The gym was dank, dark, and unappealing. The pool area looked neglected, and the surrounding pavement needed to be sandblasted. Also we had to keep getting our room key reprogrammed because the keycards were acting up.
Overall, not a bad experience for me, but this is not luxury accommodations.

Services were excellent but once again the gym.
It's a disgrace to say that The Ramada has a gym. The equipments need to be updated. The Flintstone' s era equipments need to go.

Pool area really needs to be renovated because we wouldn't even swim in it. There needs to be a groundskeeper because it was in dire need of attention. Room needs to be renovated. Pros: I loved the restaurant area and public spaces like movie theater, lobby casino.

I arrived at 1850. There was a line of maybe 8 groups who had checked in but were waiting for rooms.
I was not helped for 15 minutes. The three people behind the reception desk were all attending to one family. Several times while I was waiting someone walked up, loudly interrupted, and was served immediately.
My room did not become available until 2000 and even then house keeping had not finished cleaning it.
I have stayed at plenty of dirty, cheap motels and gotten exactly what I expected. This stay at the Ramada easily ranked in that realm. Certainly an order of magnitude below what I expected for the price.

It's in a sketchy area, the male staff will gawk at any females in your party as if it's the first time they've ever seen a woman in their lives, and the staff was not rude but not friendly either. you get what you pay for. keep expectations low and you wont be disappointed.
5.0
The property is only a few feet (10-15) from the water. The staff is vary attentive and friendly. There is taxi service just outside the lobby area

Checked in at approx 7pm, got to the room and it only had 2 towels even though 3 of us checked in. Also no hand towels, wash cloths or floor towel for the bathroom. Called the front desk and they said they would send some to our room. After an hour or so I called again and she said I told someone and that she would check and make sure we got more towels. The night came and went and in the morning I had to speak with a manager and then finally we get towels an hour before we checked out. Totally unacceptable. Went to have dinner in the restaurant around 7:30 and it was closed. They said we could go into the restaurant in the casino section but then as we went to go in they said our 16 year old couldn’t go in to eat.
