A very clean motel with very accommodating and friendly staff. Ample parking.

Hotel staff was courteous. Carpet floor is sticky. No microwave. Maybe you get what you paid for. Overall stay was ok.

Nice, clean, reasonablly priced, safe hotel right conveniently located off freeway on Sunset. Bed was firm but room was clean and love the lighting and 24/7 attendant in parkinglot so felt very safe!

A little tired but kept clean. The on site diner was closed when we visited which was dissappointing.

Stayed here as part of a long layover passing through LA. Worked well as a base to get an early start, walk to hollywood walk of fame, dolby theatre, grab breakfast in denny's (5 minutes walk), griffith park, and the observatory/hollywood sign.
No on site food....but places on same street so this is not a big issue.
Sensibly priced, nice and central, and close to metro station too. Recommended!

This hotel is basic but my room was super clean, well kept and free parking. Check in was easy and front desk person was friendly and professional.

Location was good, check in was easy, parking was adequate, room was clean. The bed was on the harder side but not a huge deal for one night. No riffraff at night which was nice. Walking distance to Starbucks and Target!

Quite a nice motel and room. As advertised, their dining facilities were closed, which was sad. But the property and the employees were all excellent. I even got quick service for a problem light.
Had 2 gripes. 1) No bedside lamps for reading or computer work. There are 4 pretty bright spotlight-type ceiling lights, including one right over the bed. Pretty exciting when you wake up at 5 A.M. and turn it on, lol.
There was also no microwave, which i discovered the next morning when I went to heat the coffee I bought the night before, Oh, well, lol.
Overall, quite happy with my stay and the entire staff. Yes, I would stay again.

Property good & comfortable for a short stay. Rooms well presented and beds comfortable. On returning to our room after house keeping had serviced it we did find the door not closed properly! Area of street immediately either side of hotel was safe but we wouldn't walk too far after dark

We had an amazing stay at Dunes Inn. First, hotel has plenty of free parking, which was paramount importance to us. Second, check in process was super easy and quick. Also, the room was clean, recently remodeled, and the bathroom was in pristine condition. When were needed late check out, staff accommodated us.
Since it’s in close proximity to Kaiser Permanente, we will be staying at your hotel again. Thank you for treating us well!

Perfect location. The staff was so nice. There was some noise at night. The A/C was so loud. Everything was super clean except the carpet floor. I love to take off my shoes before entering the room but the floor made my feet turn black.

Friendly staff - quick check in - clean rooms - no frills - no cable but a nice clean comfortable room - wouldn’t want a long term stay but great for a couple days - I’ll come back again for sure

The hotel is very nice but, very noisy, you can hear every, people flushing toilet or taking a shower that was the only issue we didn't rest listening to those noises other wise nice clean place.

The Security guards and the front desk persons were outstanding and friendly. Sure appreciated that. The maids were unfriendly for whatever reason.

This is a budget property, so as long as you don't expect much, it's a good place to stay for a few nights. The only thing I really disliked was the lack of lamps on the nightstand, so your only option is harsh overhead light. Remember to bring some good earplugs for sleeping since it's on a major street!

Definitely would stay here again in the future. The front desk staff Mawuli was very courteous and helpful. He was very accommodating since I arrived to when I checked out. There’s was a security guard on the premises which was nice. There’s a target near by for any necessities you may need to buy and multiple places to eat around the area as well as a laundry mat right next door. I found it very convenient for my needs and a very comfortable stay. Hollywood walk of fame is near by as well as the wax museum ,and other tourist attractions which is about a 40mins walk if you want to explore by foot or a 12 min drive by car. The room was nice and clean and spacious enough for me. Thanks to Mawuli for excellent customer service.

Check in was a breeze. Parking was plenty. Room was clean and comfy. Hotel was quiet. Area outside of hotel grounds was rough. Graffiti, homeless, rundown.

I really like this hotel. I am in So. Cal on assignment until April, and this place is very convenient for me. It's little dated but it's really cool. If anything, I would love it if they opened their restaurant back up, updated their Wi-Fi to run faster and had a pool. But other than that, its a good value for the money.
