We were very disappointed in our stay at Yadis Hammamet hotel. It should not be given a 4 star status. To begin with, I was asked to send confirmation of the hotel booking through email because the secretary could not find the reservation. The bathrooms are moldy. The food is cheap and unhealthy. We got sick after eating the food. It was just horrendous. The air conditioner was very loud. They gave me a suite which was attached to another room , so I had no privacy and everything could be heard from the other room!

This hotel is terrible! I walked in with a reservation for a double room. The receptionist ask if I had my marriage certificate in order to check me in! If you are traveling with ur wife/girl friend or anyone else and don’t have a marriage certificate please don’t waste ur time coming to this place. After the husslle I ended up getting a room with a twin bed! The restroom are moldy, the room is unclean and the food is cheap and unhealthy. Nothing about this hotel is good. DONT WASTE UR MONEY!!

This is a fairly old hotel. Rooms are very basic and would be nice if they were a little brighter. Caters very much so for the French. Lots of entertainment throughout the day and evening (although you would need to speak and understand French to join in most activities). We were all incusive and the food and service was great. The waiters really look after you and even have your table set up with wine and water for your arrival each evening. The beach just accross the road was lovely and very well looked after. There are not very many excursions available though and also cash machines around the area are non existant so make sure you take cash or travellers cheques. The coach transfer was pretty poor - we landed at 7.30pm and did not get to our hotel until about 10.30pm after all the drop-offs. Our return transfer to the airport we chose to arrange a taxi via the hotel reception, which was much more pleasant and quicker - costing us 95 dinar (£45 approx).

The Hotel staff are all very nice, from the cleaning ladies to the Manager both friendly and polite, however, they do not speak a lot of English other than the manager who speaks perfect English. The Hotel is more for French holiday makers. The rooms were basic but clean. It was as if the hotel was a little tired. The FOOD at this hotel was excellent. Having stayed in Tunisia over 20 times I have never tasted such good hotel food. I would advise anyone visiting Tunisia not to go for the two weeks which contain 20th March, as this is independence dar and a fortnights holiday for all Tunisians. Whilst we were there we had 500 Tunisian holiday makers arrive for a long weekend on the 25th March they left on the following Sunday, on Tuesday another 200 arrived for a two day stay. It was not a very restful stay as a lot of children and babies were amongst the visitors, they tended to run around and shout a lot and used the lifts as a play area! Not a lot of dicipline amongst the youngsters I am afraid. Nobody could get in the indoor pool as it was full to the brim! But, everything else was fine. If I knew a little more French I would stay there again.
