Check in was a mess. Called Hotels.com to change date of stay from September 15, 2023 to January 29, 2024. I was told that the change was approved by the Hotel and that I was all set. Upon arrival, Hampton Inn hotel had no record of new stay, and that the original stay was listed as a no show. I found that odd, as I received the standard email from the Hotel about parking two days prior. Desk told us we had to call Hotel's.com and that there was nothing that she could do. Called, was on the phone for 30 minutes or so. Finally resolved, but I had a hard time understanding the Hotels.com rep due to heavy accent, and the Hampton employee at the desk was the only unpleasant staff member I have ever experienced at this Hotel, and I stay here often. The supervisor, Erin, who assisted us in resolving the issue at the Hotel, was not at all pleasant. We apologized for the inconvenience, although we had been told and had our Hotel's .com documents regarding the change and thought the situation was resolved prior to our arrival. I have never experienced anything but cordial, helpful and happy personnel at this Hampton location. This was the first poor customer service experience I had ever had at Hampton Inn Romulus location. Very disappointed. While Hotels.com should shoulder much of the blame, the Hotel employee made an unfortunate situation worse by being very unpleasant. I never leave negative feedback. This experience was not at all what we expected. Disappointed.

We like that we are not to far from the airport and they offer 24 hr. shuttle. You can get a good dinner at the hotel next door and charge it to your room. Rooms are nice and clean. Our floor was being refurbished. The new carpet in some of the rooms we saw looks very nice. We'll being staying there again, later in the year, for our next early trip.

The pool wasn't heated had a sign on the door saying it was broken was not told at checkin smoke alarm kept going off in the room said would send maintenance an never did the elevator door got stuck an wouldnt open for a like 10 seconds a bunch of times after the elevator got to the floor the key cards they gave wouldnt open the door a bunch of times

Absolutely beautiful room. Very clean, comfortable and way exceeded our expectations!

Excellent service from all the staff, the place was clean and well cared for. The only beef I had with the hotel was that the pool heater was out at the time, but they were able to get us in to use the pool at the Hilton next door. Breakfast was pretty standard mid-range hotel fare, but good and plenty. Would stay here again, for sure.

Nothing special

Why they would put us in a room in the hall they're "refreshing" the rooms in is behind me. Someone tried to get in our room, then sounded like a gunshot, then heard banging and yelling for awhile. We didn't even stay long enough to get ready for our day. We were afraid to leave for breakfast worried someone would come in our room. The hotel was pretty, the room was nice, but be more considerate when assigning guests to rooms so they're not in the middle of a construction zone.

Clean rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, staff helpful and courteous. Rooms were quiet. Breakfast buffet had good food and nice selections. Shuttle to airport was on time and convenient.
