Quite difficult stairs to the top floor not ideal for elderly. The room was very cold with non-functioning radiator.

Loved the historic interest in this unique property. Warm room and comfy bed. Our room also had some very interesting features and great art. The bathroom in our room needed a bit of an update. But it's really quiet considering you are in the middle of Ross on Wye. Great location and nice people :)

Great location and lovely historic building. Spacious, well furnished room up 2 flights of stairs. Very comfortable bed and sofa. Room was cold though, had to use the fan heater which was supplied. Bathroom was tiny, hand basin was in the room. Shower cubicle dated and not very clean sadly. Bottled water supplied in the fridge and tea/coffee and biscuits. Enjoyed staying there overall.

Lovely, warm & friendly owners! Room had good facilities and was quite spacey, clean and comfy - as was the ensuite. There was also a kind gesture upon arrival of free coffee, tea, bottled water, biscuits and toiletries. Overall we enjoyed our stopover and would not hesitate to come back in the future.
On a slightly negative side - although the bed was just about ok for a one night stopover, any longer than that would've become an issue for our backs unfortunately. Also it does get quite noisy from around 5am onwards due to loud traffic on road outside of single glazed windows. Parking was basically fend for yourselves - although owner was able to recommend affordable pay & display car parks about 400 to 500 meters down the road. However we were lucky enough to find oulselves a kerbside space up behind the property which was basically free from 4pm until 11am the following morning.

It was so cute! We had a huge fireplace in our room. Made it feel like stepping back in time. The building is from the 1690s. Really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely historic accommodation right in the centre of town. Christopher was a great host and character. There are 2 flights of steps to the rooms so not for those with mobility issues but the room was large & comfortable.

We had an amazing stay at The Old Court House. our host was there to greet us and show us where we could park our car overnight. The building has so much history to it and we loved our room which had an amazing view of the wall and tower. The room had a lovely large bed and sofa to relax on. It is really convenient for the high street which is full of great places to eat and drink and have many cute independent shops (including the wineshop under the Old Court House). Would definitely go back if we are in the area.

Amazing place in this stunning small town by the river wye. Like a museum being one of the oldest buidings around and very interesting but very clean and with a small en suite again very clean. Plenty of choice for meals nearby and a wine shop next door. Ideal for a memorable stay and access to the river or coutryside and bus back . On street parking available not too far away .

A perfect stay. A friendly welcome and even though I arrived 2 hours before check-in my room was ready. There is so much character and the bed was definitely one of the comfiest that I have stayed in.
I would happily book again. Thank you.

Entrance area with plenty of cobwebs, steep steps inside to reception! Booking in satisfactory, very steep stairs to the bedroom floor, the room had been cleaned but the shower / toilet room was far too small, very difficult to use the toilet, the room was very cold and you could feel the draft coming down the chimney! The bed creaked and felt as it was going to collapse all night. Could here mice through the ceiling. Had to run the hot water for a while to get it hot! Breakfast was good and the staff offered help at every chance. Booking out was awkward as the host stated having difficulty with card machine, but in reality when I insisted on paying by card he admitted that he preferred cash because he had to wait a month for the booking agent to pay him! I don’t consider that my problem!!Parking is not very good at all and certainly not for a disabled person! Albeit right in the centre of the town good for amenities. I will not stay again.

The Old Court House was very pleasant. Christopher is the most amazing host and makes you feel very at home without intruding. I stayed in the single room which was very pleasant. They absolutely couldn't do enough for you and for the price I think it is very reasonable.
I would strongly recommend anyone wanting to stay in Ross-On-Wye to consider this B+B.

The Old Court house in Ross-on-Wye is a very historic and charming place to stay in Ross for a few days. I had the single room which was very spacious and comfortable for my stay. It was very clean, and had those elements of charm that history aficionados appreciate....crooked floors, retrofitted bath, beamed ceilings etc. The wifi was also very good. The shower is a bit tricky...play with it because it is difficult to balance the heat settings for more than a minute or two. The full English breakfast was very good, and the host Christopher was extremely helpful and pleasant. We loved hearing stories of the building and area. There is also a public bus practically across the street that will take you into Hereford and the town is full of teahouses, good restaurants and pubs. Would love to come back again!

Only stayed one night as I was travelling on the next day. Made to feel right at home by Tim and his family. The house is convenient for everything Ross on whye has to offer. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants and café in easy walking distance. The house itself is really nice. I had the attic room which was accessed by a set of steep narrow stairs which the less mobile may have difficulty with. The room was huge with exposed beams and sash windows which looked onto the street below. The room had a shower ensuite , Which was very nice and tv and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast consisted of a wide choice of cereals or a full English ( delicious ) tea and coffee or juice. All in all a great place ran by lovely people, would stay again.
