The marketing of this property is wonderful which is why I didn't mind paying $682.52 for one night. What I did not expect was that we spent the night in a renovated barn and could not see the beach from our two very small windows. The setting was quaint and very secluded. I walked down to the end of the property looking for the beach which I never found. The room was OK (though without a microwave which is an essential for my husband). The sectional did not have any coffee nor end tables which made it difficult to set down a drink. We could not watch the television from the bed as there was a column in the way. We were charged a $25 resort fee to cover water and coffee (which is always included in our stays elsewhere). We have traveled extensively and expected great things for the price tag..... one staying in the stone house and the other, a view of the beach (not a pond).

We had such a lovely stay. I would highly recommend the Stone House for a quiet, relaxing get away. To our surprise, when we arrived we were upgraded to the Lantern Room. It was such a unique space and the 360 view was spectacular. We will definitely return in the future.

The location and the quality of the lodgings can't be beat. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

The Stone House was darling, thoughtful and perfect. My father and I were traveling together - but we both cannot wait to return with our spouses. It was so beautiful, charming and romantic. We appreciated the bikes available for use and proximity to some of our favorite beaches in Little Compton. Would love to return soon!

Beautiful property with close proximity to the ocean for wonderful morning walks. Service staff was great. Our only issue (which is a big one), was that the central geothermal AC wasn't working and it wasn't very cool in our room. I just wish they would have disclosed that on their website when booking the room. They touted major renovations a couple of years ago and mentioned the new geothermal AC replacement. They didn't disclose that the AC hasn't been working properly since they installed it.

Geo-thermal means a very hot rooo! 84 degrees. Restaurant very limited menu! Staff wonderful!

We were here for a short stay. Rooms are modern and large. I would say somewhat over priced having stayed at many other a luxury boutique hotels. Area is serene. Especially the walk down to a hidden gem beach and seeing the swans on the way. Staff were friendly and recommended a good restaurant.

Stone House is a beautiful property with comfortable rooms and gorgeous seaside surroundings. We love the non-commercial feel of Little Compton and easy walk to the beach. The only slight complaint I would have is that for the high priceof the Inn, the wifi service was terrible, there was no streaming services on the TV and they didn't include a free glass of wine with the afternoon horderves.

The Stone House was an amazing surprise!! Beautiful property in and out and so easy- easy to check in, eat, hang out, use the amenities. There are more activities that we didn’t use. I wish they could build a pool but alas it’s not allowed. Such a sweet, nice little spot in the sleepy town of Little Compton!

Relaxing. Room was great, was on 3rd floor and it was warm until I realized I could open the windows! Very nice woman staff member at breakfast. Amazing grounds and beach

Beach walk

Beautiful, historic, quiet, friendly, and great marsh and ocean views.

This place is magical. Totally relaxing surroundings. We took a bike ride to the beach and walked along. There are swans in the large pond next to the hotel and bunnies everywhere in the morning. The nearby town is untouched from when I last visited 30 years ago. There is a great new coffee place in four corners about 15 minutes away. S’mores by the fire at night were fun. Rooms were very comfortable and updated

Nice property in a comfortable secluded environment. A great B-Day weekend for my wife. The weather wasn't particularly good, but we still found plenty to do. We look forward to returning.

We did not stay at this property because the room we were given was not described properly on website including no mention of staying in a barn which smelled of mildew and not part of the main stone house. The front desk offered to give us a full refund which we accepted!

We arrived late, but the front desk reception was still very welcoming and caring.

Great place for a relaxing getaway. Not many (close) options for food/drink/shopping.

a very peaceful setting and loved the bikes that were free to use on and around the property. The fire pit, wine and cheese hour and outdoor spaces were great! A wonderful place to stargaze at night since there is little light pollution.

Such a beautiful structure on gorgeous property. We stayed in the barn and the room was huge and well-appointed. A 1/2 mile walk to a beautiful beach with chairs and towels provided. Ideal for a secluded getaway. There is no restaurant or room service on the premises so you have to get in the car for a minimum of 15 minutes for a meal. The sidewalks roll up at 8:30 pm!

Great place. Very relaxing. 5 min bike ride to beach, but very easy ride. One little hill. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful inn with spacious, comfortable room. Great amenities included - breakfast, wine and appetizers, beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas, bikes. Friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely place to stay. If you can get the cupola room, the views are beyond incredible but you do need to be able to walk up a flight of stairs to enjoy it. Area is quiet and not much happening after 9 pm but if this works for you, it is a great place to stay.

We enjoyed staying there. However it was far from everything. You will enjoy if you would go with a few family members or friends

The property and the room were beautiful. The only thing is there's not much to do other than going to the beach maybe doing some hiking. No nightlife whatsoever. Overall had a wonderful time drove into Newport which is 45 minutes away one evening.

Fantastic weekend at The Stone House. I highly recommend spending a weekend there. A short walk or ride on the bike to the beach. Beach and grounds are beautiful. Loved everything about the Inn.

Very quaint and often posh. Beautiful surroundings sand lots of character. Room had some quirks (no light switch next to bed, slow toilet) and breakfast was mediocre. But the rest more t han made up for these.
