Clean room close to Wells Fargo Arena.
1.0
-broken mini light (right side closest to window)
-broken toilet paper holder (and toilet paper just sitting on back of toilet)
-greasy marks on bathroom wall
-no side chair in room 410, just a random end table by the lamp, but our other rented room 417 had a chair with the end table and lamp
-originally given a room (419) with someone already occupied in it —keys didn’t work and had a do not disturb sign hanging from the door.
-was told parking labeled guest parking only was only for employees (never been to a place where employees get better parking than paying guests)
-was told there was conjoining rooms when I called a month prior to reserve (and webpage lists conjoining rooms) and asked for that or side by side rooms—given rooms on 2 different floors (419 and 519) Lady said she didn’t know what we were talking about but Franco said he could see in the “special requests” section that we did request conjoining rooms next to each other.
-was told she couldn’t help us because she got off work at 3 and it was past 3 and “someone lied to you” any time I mentioned things that were promised to us
-couldn’t find different rooms for us bc hotel was full (despite check in being at 3 and we arrived right at 3) and wasn’t able to move rooms around bc hotel already full (we know at exactly 3 everyone hasn’t checked in yet and we really know that wasn’t true because Franco was able to move rooms around for us)
-out of characters but so much more wrong. Will be calling.

Very convenient for East Village shops and restaurants. Nice to have bar and restaurant on top. Great atmosphere. Recommend parking.

The shower had horrible water pressure with an awful whining sound.
The toilet was leaking out the bottom meaning actual waste water was leaking in the bathroom.
The TV wouldn’t receive any kid of signal. The lighting quality was god awful for doing make up.
When I brought this information to the front desk. The gal working didn’t really care, didn’t offer to pay for the parking or anything.
Do NOT stay here!!

Shelia at the front desk made my stay wonderful! She is so friendly, helpful and fun to chat with. I was able to use the complimentary shuttle to get to the airport/Walgreens. The hotel is beautiful. My only comment is that the walls seem thing-If you stay near the elevator you can hear normal volume conversations be try clearly.

I come to Des Moines twice a month for 3 days each of those times. I always make my hotel reservations at least a week ahead of time through hotels.com I'm not sure exactly what had happened but it looks like I accidentally made my reservation for July 3rd through the 5th instead of June 19th through the 21st. When I got to the hotel and he had told me about my mistake I went ahead and booked the room anyways for the 19th to the , I ended up having to pay full price for both the days with no discount applied. I was staying at this more expensive hotel downtown because with hotels.com I had received a free night stay so it was worth staying at a more expensive hotel. I had spoke to front desk clerk about canceling and getting refunded for the July 3rd through the 5th I had told him I booked it through hotels.com he said that shouldn't be an issue on ten home that week and called hotels.com they tried for two days to try to get a hold of the motel to see about canceling my reservation once they did get through to the hotel the hotel refused to cancel my reservation hotels.com was nice enough togive me another free night. ivwill never stay there again, the room was disgusting the floorwas so dirty I had to take a wet towel and actually mop, if you shut off the lights at night you shut off the TV the shower head in the shower would not stay clipped so you had to hold the handle the whole time there was toothpaste on the wall in the bathroom.

1) I must know where your decorator puchased the Great Dane statues.
2) Housekeeping should not knock on the door 45 minutes before checkout time, when guests are trying to get ready to leave.
3) Room access cards should not be disabled 45 minutes prior to checkout time, when guests still need it for accessing the parking deck.

Very nice hotel, good location, nice view, rooftop bar, friendly staff, mostly clean and updated, comfortable bed. Disliked- no microwave in room (but they do have one in lobby to use), no free breakfast, attention to detail when cleaning- floor didnt look mopped and walls need cleaning in bathroom, shampoo/conditiiner not good.

I booked thru Expedia for cheaper rate. Was given a handicapped accessible room. Nice hotel except a disappointing trick. Not pleased. Service acceptable but not “warm”. Will rethink hotel on next trip to DSM

Check it was tough at this location. While deep desk attendant was certainly pleasant enough, she obviously didn’t read my special requests which included being far away from elevators, ice/venting. I’d ask for a quiet room. So it was so much to my surprise to get off the elevator and find the room she designed me directly opposite the elevator bank. Anyway, the rest of the hotel was good enough. Parking I didn’t realize was available at the hotel so I parked in a paid for parking lot a block away. Would I return to this OK location? Probably. Not my favorite of the Marriott branded chains however.

The guy working at the counter looked and acted like we didn’t belong in the swanky hotel. Yes I have tattoos doesn’t mean I can’t afford to stay there. Got to the room and the floor had a stained spot that looked like old blood. When we called we were told it was rust from an old chair and nothing they could do. Then we noticed a good chunk of the wallpaper was coming off. Cheap room with an overprice tag

My flight on Sunday was cancelled, so I had to find a hotel for the night. I chose a hotel close to where my daughter lives. I chose AC Hotel because they listed airport shuttle as an amenity. When I checked in I was told that the shuttle only runs in the afternoon. My flight was early morning so I was out of luck and had to make other arrangements. If there are exceptions to an amenity they should list them. I would have chosen to stay somewhere else, but instead I was stuck with the room and still had to arrange airport transportation.

The stay was fine and the morning coffee was good. Some problems with the elevator and tv. Also disappointed the the parking garage was full when we arrived

The only things I didn't like was the lack of a safety bar in the shower and no ramp in the lobby for the elderly or mobility impaired or those just not wanting to lift a heavy suitcase upstairs. And, the hours the van to the airport ran were not very useful.

The area was safe and pleasant, though there was a pride festival on, which blocked the road to the on site parking. The road blocks might not have been in the control of the hotel but a sign to help guide people from out of town would have saved 10 minutes of searching. The staff were not as present and amicable as the other hotels we have stayed at along our trip.

In order to access the underground parking garage and to access the elevator, your key to your room.is needed. Great security feature!

We arrived for check in at 5pm and were told the hotel parking was full as was the city garage so we would need to find metered street parking. We were attending a concert at Wells Fargo, assuming that’s why all the parking issues, however I believe you should have enough onsite parking for your hotel guests - especially since they have a parking garage. There was a long black hair on our white sheets and the lotion bottle had clearly been used, however the overall cleanliness of the hotel was great ( which is number one in importance for me when booking a hotel). Housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:45 am the next morning when checkout wasn’t until 11:00. We were still sleeping as we were up late the night before attending the concert so that was a bit annoying. The staff wasn’t overly friendly but not rude. We would stay again despite the issues as the hotel was updated and clean.

Loved the staff (especially the front desk person) for $260 a night, it definitely wasn’t worth it.
